Partnership North-West

The North-West Association was founded in 1991 by representatives of executive and legislative authorities of the 11 regions of the Northwest Russia. The objectives defined by the Association include issues in the field of industry, agriculture, transport, energy, social branches: • coordination of regional activities in the frames of mutually accepted economic and social programs; • development and implementation of regional programs and projects with participation of foreign and domestic capital, creating necessary conditions for foreign investors’ activity; • labor market analysis, personnel training, accommodation of immigrants from other regions; • promotion of mutually beneficial economic relations with other regions, republics and districts. Northwest Russia includes territories of Karelia and Komi republics, Archangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod and Pskov regions, Nenetsky autonomous district and St.Petersburg.
