79. Amusing Vignette of Viennese Bronze Frogs at the Pool Table 8” (20 cm.) Each of cast bronze with hand-painted finish, the vignette comprises three different frogs in people shape, posed around a pool table, one as waiter with tray of food, one shooting pool and one awaiting his turn at shooting, along with the actual pool table with balls and stick. Excellent condition. Vienna, late 1800s. $800/1000

Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted hair with flocked finish, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, painted brown curly lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils with slightly-parted lips, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, flocking worn on hair. Marks: SFBJ 237 Paris 6. Comments: hard-to-find model from the art character series with especially brilliant eyes, well-detailed original military uniform. $1400/1700

Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown hair in short boyish style, blue glass inset eyes, painted curly lashes, one-stroke brows, open mouth with shaded lips, row of porcelain teeth, impressed dimples, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique costume comprises woolen jacket, pants, socks, shoes, and uniform cap. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 227 Paris 6. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value points: especially fine modeling of laughter crinkles around the eyes and impressed dimples around the mouth, fine quality of bisque. $1100/1500

Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown hair in short boyish style, blue glass inset eyes with darker blue iris rims, painted lashes, single-stroke arched brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with modeled tongue, shaped lips, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, some wear to body finish. Marks: SFBJ 225 Paris 6. Comments: especially fine modeling of laughter lines around the mouth, fine gleaming bisque, antique mariner costume comprises blue woolen coat with brass anchor buttons, “Normandie” sailor cap. $1200/1500
