ALEXANDRA HALLÉN
(SE, 1987) er en multi-facetteret kunstner, komponist og udøver, der nyder at udforske grænserne for både sig selv og med sit publikum. Alexandra Hallén is a multi-faceted artist, composer and performer who enjoys exploring the boundaries, both on her own account and with her audience. Her work is innovative and original, often with a political twist that questions social structures and how it can feel, as a human being, to participate in today’s society. As a cellist, Alexandra Hallén is as passionate as she is bold; she is known for her attention to detail and her passionate energy. Her willingness constantly to push the boundaries of cello playing so as to explore new, extended techniques has led to close collaboration with many composers.
ANDREAS BORREGAARD
(DK, 1981) er en internationalt efterspurgt akkordeonist, der bevæger sig i et bredt musikalsk felt, hvor ny kompositionsmusik ofte gør sig gældende. Han arbejder løbende med komponister fra det meste af 26
uropa, og har uropført værker af E bl.a. Simon Steen-Andersen, Niels Rønsholdt, Maja S. K. Ratkje, Juliana Hodkinson, Hugi Gudmundsson og Bent Sørensen. Kommende sæsoner indeholder samarbejder med Philip Venables, Louise Alenius, Marcella Lucatelli samt en koncert for sinfonietta og akkordeon af Jennifer Walshe. Borregaard specialiserer sig desuden i barokken, og hans anmelderroste indspilning af J. S. Bachs “Goldbergvariationer” udkom i 2018 på BIS Records. Borregaard underviser i akkordeon og kammermusik på DKDM samt NMH i Oslo, hvor han for tiden også er ph.d-stipendiat i kunstnerisk forskning. Andreas Borregaard is an internationally sought-after accordionist who moves in a broad musical field, often featuring new compositional music. He constantly collaborates with composers from most of Europe, and has premièred works by Simon Steen-Andersen, Niels Røns holdt, Maja S. K. Ratkje, Juliana Hodkinson, Hugi Gudmundsson and Bent Sørensen, among others. Future seasons include collaborations with Philip Venables, Louise Alenius and Marcella Lucatelli, as well as a concerto for sinfonietta and accordion by Jennifer Walshe. Borregaard also specialises in the music of the Baroque period, and his critically acclaimed recording of J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations was issued on BIS Records in 2018. Borregaard teaches accordion and chamber music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, where he is also currently studying for a PhD in artistic research.
