In Australia!! During the trip, I had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends. It was very educational and I learnt that life in Australia is very different from life in Cambodia. It was the most exciting and eye-opening trip. I've ever been on.

Chhounchhiv Chea I really liked the trip to Australia there were 3 reasons why I liked trip to Australia. First of all my mother wanted me to go second reasons I wanted to know about the people in Australia like thirdly I wanted to visit the opera house . When I got there I think it was wonderful and it was the first time I have been to the large country like Australia. And also I liked the teacher there they liked to teach us the teachers if even we are form small country. I studied there for a week at Isik college I think it made everybody have more ideas and more clever and I think the teachers were very hard working everyday they tried to give worksheets for us if it was very hard for them they always try their best. The trip to Australia I like the wildlife the mot in there I like wallaby Especially Koala I've never seen an animals like this before. I wanted to thank you my parent that they let me to go. Also I wanted to thank the school that made funny trip to Australia. We hope to have next year other trips to other countries. Thank you!

Porhour During the Australia trip I had learnt lots of experience about life. We had learnt about Australia culture. On the first day we went to Australia we felt so exciting and happy. We had gone to many places such as Sky deck Eureka, Aquarium, etc. We have seen a lot of school in Australia. We also had an English class in Isik College. Moniroth Nou The trip to Australia for me was a great experience that taught me a lot. Also, it taught me to know more about Australia such as their culture‌‌..etc. In this trip I feel really excited, happy, and fun and I made a lot of new friends.

It was the best trip ever. We had the chance to shop ourselves and we learnt how to ice skating. We also learnt the education in Australia. It was so high!!! At sky deck 88 and I think it was the highest building in Melbourne and it had some cool souvenirs. Now I would like to talk about my best place and those are Aquarium and IMAX. At Aquarium we got to see Aqua animals such as dolphins and stingray…… At IMAX we see the 3D Movies: TRON legacy and we bought popcorns all were salty. It was the best trip ever and I would like to thank to Zaman for allowing me to go to Australia. Also I was hoping to be in another exciting and awesome trip.

Pagna Va The trip to Australia was long it took 8 hours for us to get to Australia from Bangkok when we got there we were tired but we still had to take a tour around Melbourne so we did when we got to our dormitory we had to sleep in 3 rooms each room 3 person but we did not like it so we all slept in one room. The next day we went to the aquarium it was thrilling for me to see sharks and the souvenirs are great. The next day we went to Sky deck eureka 88 it was very tall there was a ride called the edge it was a disappointment to me because it was not scary at all. I think the next day was ice house ice skating it chilled me was very cold but it’s easy just like normal skating but I was not careful and bump into someone he fell I try to grab him he got my finger I pull him up but I broke my finger so for rest of the events I did not join. On the day to Sydney it was beautiful but when I got to the opera house it was indescribable just really amazing. The next day I think we went to Blue Mountain but we did not get there so it's another disappointment because of bad weather and well I can't remember the rest. David Lim It was a great trip to Australia. At Melbourne; everyone could go shopping at lots of places. The Aquarium was so cool; it had lots of sea animals such as sharks, Octopus, Jellyfish, and stingray. The IMAX 3D was a great cinema. I went to watch TRON legacy. It was so great. They gave us 3D glasses to wear; it was like real when watching. The Eureka sky deck 88 was the tallest building. In Melbourne, I could see everything at the top of the building, and also we could go into the edge to see the bottom part of the building. Also the Isik College it was a great and cool school, I met a lot of teachers there, and when school finished, if we had time we could go there to play soccer, Basketball and volleyball. I went to Turkish families to have dinner with a lot of food. It was so a lot that I couldn't eat all the food. At Science work, I saw a lot of cool experiment and Machine. Especially, I saw the 3D soccer; I also saw a rugby that we had to throw to the red spot. Also we went to planet arium to watch movies. It was so cool. We had to look on the top because the screen was on the top. The Ballarat was a great place. I went to the Bowling Place to play Bowling, it didn't cost any money. Also there was a Tower when we went to the top it's so cold. At Sydney, I went to opera House it was so cool and big there was o cool and big, there was a lot of people, I had to run all the way so far that my legs is almost broken. The wildlife, I saw a lot of animal like Wombats, Tasmanian Devils, Wallaby, Kangaroos, Kookaburras, Cockatoos, Flying, Dingoes, Goat, Bilby and other animal, And we had to go everywhere in the Park to collect stamps of Animal. Especially, The Ferryboat Tour was so great, but we had to wait for 1 hour, but when I got on the boat I had to find a seat. When the boat started I had to go so far, when I reached the bridge everyone took pictures. Also the go kart it was so great we raced until the finish lap. It was so great but a lot of people stuck at the grass. The Blue Mountain we traveled so long but when we almost reach the blue mountain we came back because of bad weather. But during the way it's so great we shop for stuffs again.

My Unforgettable trip It was my first time to Australia. I've only heard about Australia before since I've never known how it looks like until I've been there. My first week in Melbourne has been fun and eye-opening. I've found Australian kind with a relax attitude about life. We were having our English course every morning with a lot of fun and knowledge about Australian's culture from our friendly teachers. I felt relaxed and enjoyable with the places that I had visited. We were getting together with our friends in dormitory; everyone was very excited and happy. I liked the life there and most of the interesting places. There were a lot of fun and experiences that I've got. It was really nice to travel with friend and teachers to the beautiful places like that. I felt like I was dreaming, because I couldn't believe that I was in Australia .I found Melbourne and Sydney and both places are very interesting. Everything was very nice; it's nice to taste food from different countries. I really liked the Turkish families that. I've visited. They were nice and friendly people. They invited us for dinner and talking. I really love the places that the school arranged for us like'' Planetarium, Sovereign hill, Eureka Sky deck‌." They are very interesting places that I've never been before. We were also visited the University of Melbourne. I liked it so much because it was the best University in Melbourne. I wished I could have chance to study there. I liked the way we were going in a group, it made me feel so comfort able and warm. I loved how the school arranged a trip which had a lot of excitement like that I am so thankful for the well prepared from the school and the care from our teacher during the whole trip. Dear 11 F I am really happy to have a rare class like you. True friends are forever; they can be completely different, yet are together because they respect their differences. Our TURKISH DAY was a good example of this. First, you built a bridge from your hearts on 16 January at Zaman High School Conference Hall, after that you let all Zaman Family members walk through this beautiful bridge. It was surely a moment of great happiness and all of you were brilliant. You are always very original with your good hearts and understanding. What you deserve is more than a letter. However, I feel and believe that sometimes words are much more effective than anything. I would like to thank you for being thoughtful and being there for anyone who needs your help. A Visit to Zaman University It was a sunny Saturday morning, the sky was clear blue and the weather was a little bit humid.

We visited Zaman Univ ersi ty. The building is a modern and luxurious. The palm trees standing in front of the building make it “ Eye catching “. When I entered the building I was stunned by it`s beautiful decoration and modern classrooms. After having detailed information about the university and scholarship program we left hoping to study in Zaman University. February 2011 11 Zaman International School - High School Newspaper


8F at Royal Palace One Saturday in January, 8F had a trip to Royal Palace. We met each other at school by 1 o’clock. We left school very late because some of our friends had some problems on their ways to school. The Royal Palace is near to our school, so it didn’t take much time to go there. When we arrived there, we got out of the school bus and went straight to the gate. Then we collected money for the tickets to get inside. The queue was very long, so our teacher assistant and our friends Lina and Jialin went there to buy the tickets and waited for with her as well. Ok!

We went inside of Royal Palace. The first place we visited was where the King held ceremonies and then we found Ladies room which was full of colorful clothes. The ladies were so beautiful we decided to take a lot of photos there. Thus we explored the Royal Palace, there was one place where silver tiles and gold, diamonds were demonstrated. Then we walked in order to find other places to take a look, but unfortunately we all together saw a tree that was full of letters on its leaves. Those were all wishes of many people in different languages and different wishes, so we also wrote our wishes there too.


Some of us wished to have happiness, some wished to be smart but they were already smart. Ha ha ha! While we were writing our wishes, some of our friends bought some cokes, water and ice creams to get energy because we all were tired of playing, visiting, laughing and lots of other things. Next we went to have a look how Cambodians weave. Our teacher assistant suggested us to try but none of our friends did. You know why? Because we were extremely shy. After that we decided to leave the Royal Palace because we had a new plan. We wanted to play game Web zone in Pencil. So we got in the school bus and went to Pencil. When we arrived there we didn’t think much,

we just ran to the stairs to take part in Web zone but some of our friends were busy with doing shopping. We played car crushing; also I and my friend played dancing game. Finally, it was nearly 5 o’clock; we all hurried to go back to school because we told our parents to pick up us at school at 5. When we arrived school, some of our friends’ parents were waiting in front of school. We all went home. Lastly, we all want to THANK our homeroom teacher MS. GOKSEL and our Teacher assistant MISS SERIFE for preparing that fantastic and unforgettable trip for us. We want to say our teacher and teacher assistant that “ V LUV U SO MUCH ”. Dalin Seng Love 8F

Experience of

your life

We prepared our staff and got ready for the trip to Siem Reap. We were planning with our teacher just the day before holiday 1 day, and we decided to go tomorrow on 29/Oct/2010. Early in the morning, we were all in front of the school. As we were ready to get started, but we forgot one special thing, it was PS2. Our classmate Rattank and our principal said “Good bye” to us and wished us good luck on the ways. We have arrived there at about 12:30pm, we all started getting hungry, and we decided to go to KFC to have lunch. After we had lunch, we went to hotel and get some rest. Some of our friends sleep and played table tennis. At about 2:00pm we went to PHNOM BAK KHENGE, but it a little bit late because we arrived there at 4:30pm and we climbed up to the mountain it took about 30minutes to reach the top of the mountain, but luckily we could saw the sunset at the last minutes. And we took some photo with our friend and teacher. After that, we came back down from the mountain, but it was too late and get dark and there was only our group left on the mountain. On the ways, down the side of the mountain we took out our Mobile Phone as a torch. There are 2 reasons why we lighted up because we couldn’t see the way down, and the most dangerous was we might step on elephant’s poop. And The Night came everything went dark, at about 8:00pm we went to restaurant and had dinner. After we had done our dinner, we went back to hotel. We took a bath and relax until 9:00pm and then we started our PS2 game against teacher MUSTAFA DUR, he was a good player, he won us 5match. We played until 2:00am midnight and we were so sleepy, so we said “Good bye, and Good night” to our teacher. 14 February 2011 Zaman International School - High School Newspaper

The second day came, we woke up at 8:00pm and preparing our self and material. We left the hotel, we went to ANGKOR TOUCH. It was an amazing building. We went around and took some photo and we made some joke during walking. After visited we were looking for a restaurant for lunch. We decided to go to KFC again. Lunch had gone, we went to Cultural Village. What a wonderful area it was! Everyone entered quickly as possible. We went through each building, took photos. chatted, and archery. At night there was a big play about JAY VOROMAN 7. We watched it from the beginning till the end of it, and took photo with actors, actress, especially with JAY VOROMAN 7. We went back to hotel. Second night we played game and order KFC for service. We slept at 3:30am in the morning. And we wake up early in the morning. We prepared our staff and get in the car back home. ) 9 0 0 2 8 0 0 2 ( A 2 1 n o i n u e R We met with our old friends whom we know since grade 8 from Zaman International School. We were very happy because we longed for a long time for that day. It was a very special day for us. Even though we graduated from Zaman 2 years ago we still want to meet our old friends just like the most common phrase "Friends Forever". We had a nice conversation with our friends and our old teachers. We informed each other about ourselves and our studies. It was really amazing to see our photos and videos dates back to our high school life. We were the champion of the football tournament in 2009.

We refreshed our memories when we were showed our photos. It is unexplainable feeling to watch “8A-12A memories video� made by Bodyka, our friend who is now studying in Canada, to watch a recorded video of Ratha who is now studying in United States, and to sing our class song "Velea Kleat Met (Time to be apart)".

We didn`t forget to celebrate our birthdates all together. We had a nice party. Our names and birthdates were written on the cake. We enjoyed a lot. And we are looking forward to the next reunion party. 12A (2008-2009)


After we had a reunion party we stayed at the dormitory. When we arrived there we saw that teachers had already prepared the dinner for us. They were making chicken BBQ on the terrace of the dormitory. We enjoyed the dinner and BBQ and other snacks a lot. We had a very nice time over there. Thanks to all‌

REMEMBER 12-F 2 009

On Sunday 26th of December 2010, I and my classmate (12F -2009) had a reunion at our school. We got T-shirts printed for us to wear on that day. With the help of our homeroom teacher, Mrs Grace, as well as other supervisors, we were able to make a successful reunion party at the canteen and had a fun time together. We had a wonderful time preparing food, eating together and catching up on the happenings of our lives after high school. After lunch, we were surprised by a huge chocolate cake that was prepared by the school for us. Each cake had our names and our teachers’ names on it, from the time we started school at ZIS until the time we graduated. We continued in the newly renovated Cinema Room and enjoyed ourselves. We are really thankful to at all those who contributed in making our reunion possible and fun. We are pleased to know that ‘We are remembered.’ Heng Sok Eng
