DREAM WITHOUT FEAR LOVE WITHOUT LIMITS

Valentine
Celebrate Valentine’s Day in a New Way this Year
When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
Paulo Coelho

The more we love, the deeper our understanding of life will be. In the midst of all of life’s challenges and complications, love stops us in our tracks and changes everything. The power of love is something we should celebrate every day, but Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to be reminded of how special the people we love truly are.

In honor of this annual holiday, Dar Life brings to you some ideas for how to celebrate the occasion, whether you’re single, dating, or have been married for years.

Buy some roses – give them away or use them to freshen up your living space and remind yourself how much you are loved.

• Make a homemade card for someone.

• Take a weekend trip to Arusha, Zanzibar, Mwanza or Bagamoyo. If you can’t afford to travel, try a “stay-cation”. Book a hotel room in your city for a night or two, turn off your phone and laptop, and enjoy complete relaxation with your loved ones.

• Have a classic movie date at the theater with friends and/or your partner. Or set up a drive-in at home, complete with a projector and snacks.

• Look for restaurants with Valentine’s Day specials, get all dressed up, and enjoy a special dinner with friends or your partner.

• Cook dinner for your partner or your friends at home. Go all out with a fancy outfit and festive music and decorations

• Go to a concert or take dance classes with

loved ones.

• Surprise someone you love with a gift that they really need or want.

• Alone? Show yourself some love! Who says that people need a companion for this one day of the year? Treat yourself to a spa visit, a nice meal, or some new perfume.

• On small pieces of paper, write down every kind of kiss that you can think of (examples: passionate, on the cheek, etc.). hen fill an ine pensive red felt ag with your “kisses” and give it to your partner.

• Order food from a take-out restaurant and have a picnic for all the Valentines in your family on your living room floor

• If you are separated across the miles, send a care package filled with things that are red.

• Say “I love you” a lot, and mean it!

Owning a business is daunting, with long hours and plenty of stress. But it's important to follow your dreams and chase your big goals — just chip away and try not to let the bad days bring you down. To succeed and reap the wild roller coaster ride

Here are 3 reasons to why it’s good doing business at an old age;

UTILIZE YOUR WISDOM

Even though you may not feel as spry as you did when you were 20 starting a business at an old age— all the wisdom you gained from your many mentors in your corporate life will give you the solid building blocks to have the and professionalism necessary to navigate through all the daily challenges of owning your own business. GET FUNDING

Iwanted to pass along encouragement to those who have been considering starting a business later in life.

As time passes by and you gain insight into what truly makes you happy, I encourage you to do your research, have a good plan and

It may be easier for more "mature"

with their capital contributions, as well as some money from your retirement account or loan to the business. You will later be able to pay yourself back with interest as your business grows. Also, everyone needs to be aware of what they are getting into. Starting a business is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. LEVERAGE CONNECTIONS

Don't be afraid to leverage the connections you have made, both personally and professionally. There are many people — in particular, other small business owners — who know what challenges you face. VODACOM TANZANIA 5G in Tanzania and why you should care!

5

G is the word on everyone’s lips at the moment and Tanzania is not left behind with Vodacom launching the country’s first 5G network in September 2022. So far our 5G network is active in Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Dodoma. With the recently acquired spectrum, we are poised to strengthen our 4G network and increase rollout of the 5G network.

Fifth-generation wireless (5G) is the is the latest cellular technology, engineered to greatly increase the speed and responsiveness of wireless networks.

The first 5G network was launched three years ago, and

the impact of the technology has already been significant in terms of industry spending and commitment. More than ten countries in Africa already have commercial 5G networks, and players in many more countries expect to have commercial 5G by 2025.

As more Telcos in emerging markets begin to commit to 5G rollout, the development of 5G technology is expected to be critical to delivering new solutions to address economic development, healthcare, manufacturing, infrastructure, and even government services.

What will you be able to do with 5G?

With 5G, data transmitted over wireless broadband connections can travel at multigigabit speeds, with potential peak speeds estimated at 20 gigabits per second (Gbps). To enjoy this one only needs a 5G capable device and to cater to our customers needing connectivity in their homes and businesses, we launched the 5G Fixed Wireless Access routers which connects to our 5G network that promises seamless and fast connections. 5G is truly a game changer for businesses as it has the potential to make business processes much easier. Businesses and developers who have tapped into the 5G network are already seeing its transformative effect. Here are some of the reasons your

business should be on Vodacom’s 5G network:

1. More business actions can be carried out in less time with faster speed. With speeds of up to ten times higher than 4G, this means faster data transmission of larger files such as images and videos. Increased data speeds can also support IoT, which could benefit your business where IoT is fundamental to your services.

2. A lower latency means fewer glitches and delays.

5G has little to no buffering which means less delay when using the internet. Transferring content to clients happens in a split second

so feedback is smooth and immediate. This would bring a great deal of efficiency into your business’ workflow.

3. Communication challenges are addressed by increased connectivity.

5G technology offers increased connection capacity compared to 3G and 4G . This means improved business connectivity to clients and employees as more people and devices can easily communicate at the same time via seamless conference calls, telephone, and virtual interviews etc.

4. Your business will benefit from network slicing.

5G allows for network slicing –a form of virtual network architecture that allows multiple virtual networks to be created on top of a common shared physical infrastructure – so you can own a private 5G network. This will support a multitude of services that place different requirements on the network in terms of functionality and performance.

The minister congratulated WHI for creating the fund because it will not only create opportunities for an anians to invest for good profit ut will help it to raise capital for implementing its development project.

“Because this is a patriotic corporation, we decided to work on the views of our investors. Today, we are proud of launching Faida Fund, the collective investment scheme. This fund does not discriminate against any amount of investment the investor has and it gives an opportunity for any Tanzanian to join,” he said.

Dr Msemwa revealed that the fund has surpassed its target after raising Sh12.9 billion from investors, an impressive 173% through unit sales. He said the target was to collect Sh7.5 billion from the sale of units, which started in November and continued through December last year.

Due to great response, the value of a unit has increased to Sh100.54 from the initial Sh100, and is expected to rise further. “In a period of two months, a total of 3,800 investors have registered with the fund, out of which 800 have

“Under IMBEJU we will also be providing training in business management, the use of IT systems financial and marketing education and assistance in improving products and innovative ideas,” Mr Nsekela said.

The bank will also establish a special training and business innovation centre at the former Headquarters of the CRDB on Azikiwe Street in Dar es Salaam.

The centre will be managed in collaboration with the IT Commission. The programme placed greater emphasis on startups in the IT sector, focusing more on stimulating the digital economy.

The ICT Commission Director General, Dr Nkundwe Mwasaga, said they envisage that the ‘IMBEJU’ programme will rapidly stimulate the growth of young businesses in the economy.

The IMBEJU goes in line with the slogan “Leave No One Behind” of the Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) 2030 which emphasises the empowerment of marginalised groups and tackling inequality in economic opportunities.
