ear ar t friends, as some one who enjoys the beautiful ar t of drawing and painting, I always look for the oppor tunity to have an ar t publication in our city. With my Latin American heritage and living in Houston for the past 35 years, I have always been enthusiastic about ar t, and very passionate about painting. I think today’s ar t does not just depend on monetary success. It is meant to help our community, and that is why I have created “Aplauso”. My wish as I mentioned is to reach out to the ar t community with a vision about the concept of “Ar t Must Transcend”. This vision includes mastery, dominion, and talent to create a deep feeling of goodness that in turn communicates something special to the individual. If the work of ar t is unable to do this, then it is not a work of ar t. The work does not transcend and it therefore fails. Through friendly relationships my mission is to share my enthusiasm and passion for ar t. I will continue to promote the fine ar t our great city Houston has to offer and simultaneously share my progress as an ar tist and painter.
Our “Round of Applause” will feature a chosen Role Model artist in his studio on every single issue.
