ARTISTandy (Andy Gonzalez) born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, June 19, 1974, discovered art early in life, and began developing drawing and painting skills in school. In 1992, ARTISTandy began college and studied at Parsons Paris, School of Design in France where life and art began to sync. ARTISTandy produced hundreds of life drawings, sculptures, paintings and dove into studies in color and design. When he returned to the States in the mid 90’s, he continued studying Renaissance, Classical and Modern Art. In 2008, ARTISTandy began experimenting with a new style of work by combining Abstract with Cubism. Over 240 sketches, drawings and designs for oil paintings in his AGGA Collection are currently divided into twenty-one series and scheduled for production over thirty years; all with divine inspiration and messages within each piece, otherwise known as Modern Biblical Art. Shortly after the birth of AGGA, ARTISTandy launched a new Collection titled FACES. FACES are works of Mixed Media pieces on Canvas, Linen, Wood Panels, Di-Bond Brushed Aluminum Panels, Bas-Relief Sculptures and Liquid Chrome Sprayed Canvas. FACES depict close up images of of all types of

human emotions, and of every living thing on earth in an abstract style. FACES was inspired by ARTISTandy’s son Noah, and new works are produced daily in conjunction with AGGA. 2020 ushered in a new world ARTISTandy began to explore; the world of NFTs. It’s what all artists have been waiting for. A world that allows royalties of art sales to forever generate revenue through blockchain technology, and tied to a crypto digital wallet. ARTISTandy minted his first NFT on the OpenSea network, and has created over 100 NFTs to date, and continues to mint NFTs on Rarible and Portion as well. “NFTs are not the future of the art world, because it’s already here, and will forever be part of this space; the physical will co-exist with the non-fungible. NFTs are highly regarded investments by digital asset owners, and creators have no boundaries,” says ARTISTandy. Please visit ARTISTandy.com to see all the produced bodies of art, and visit studio 202 located at Silver Street Studios for art consultation, to discuss color, design, paintings, sculptures, NFTs and become an investor and collector in creations by ARTISTandy.

Alex Wilhite, a Deaf artist grew up in isolated areas in the South. I learned how to paint from the red clay soil with various mediums of water to linseed oil. I became interested in learning from Renaissance and Baroque Old Masters to Contemporary artists' techniques. I continue to explore paintings techniques with various brushes and palette knives. I replace toxic mediums with health-safe lavenders oil mediums to make better and more breath take working. I love working like Meditation Paths freeing from Fears. Skies are in my mindfulness from the Southwest Spirits by the Native Americans. Traveling and learning vary of Languages to create to make arts. Awarded Master of Fine Art in Paintings in specialist working on pigments from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York.

I am a narrative painter and I tell stories with my art. I try to create a re-imagined reality through allegory and trans-formative narrative. I

acknowledge the richly magical and mystical quality of our unconscious mind and endorse the use of dream-like metaphor and symbolism in my work to engage in storytelling through narrative painting. Including a healthy dose of humor, use of anachronism and appropriation, I create for myself a full and potent tool chest from which to work. When I remain open to participate in wakeful dreaming, unhindered by traditional boundaries, the work may rise to a level of unspoken but universal understanding.

Erika Alonso (b. 1987) is a self-taught artist and an unabashedly painterly painter working and living in Houston, Texas. She was born and raised in Southern California, a place she often "escapes" to while painting, drawing inspiration from memories of the beautiful landscapes and seascapes of her childhood. Alonso's works range from intimate-sized watercolor paintings to large-scale acrylic paintings. She likens her painting process to daydreaming, and the painting itself to a vessel through which the viewer can travel into the snapshots in her mind. Her faith in the process comes across in her use of color with abandon, which the artist attributes to her confidence that the act of painting is something that is driven by the still place just below the surface of her conscious thoughts.

Ammar Alobaidi is American/Iraqi artist was born in Baghdad - Iraq. He has Bachelors of engineering from University of Baghdad. He is an act of joyful outreach on an inspiring scale. Small canvases cannot typically contain his exultant vision. His is a language of abstraction and brilliant color on the one hand, then of rhythmic, graphic, black and white patterns on the other. Texture is implied with areas of checkerboard, dots, or wavy lines, while compositions are constructed with the careful precision of an engineer. The human figure is often suggested, but each character is joined together in harmonic continuity as one form overlies another in a manner reminiscent of later Picasso or Matisse.

Whether at home in Houston or on the road, she is captivated by the vivid colors which bookmark a day. More than just beauty, Kymn loves conveying the message that we have a new beginning with each sunrise and a chance to put the stress of the day behind us with each sunset.

In addition to her sunset collection, Kymn also creates large-scale works which evoke emotions through use of color and texture. Using a color-forward selection process in which colors carry more weight than the subject itself, Kymn ensures the integrity of the emotional content for each piece. Her goal is for her creations to encourage, motivate and inspire. “Sunset” 36”x48” acrylic on canvas

CHINATI MOUNTAINS STUDY The COVID years 2020 - 2021

Artist. Geologist. Road Tripper My art sees beyond the science of a landscape. It is inspired by the geology and spirituality of the earth as viewed from my travels on the road. My art takes earth’s physical shapes and turns them into shapes of thought. By mixing texture, color and pattern, I combine science with spirituality. To find my artist's voice During COVID I began studying my photographs and experiences; geology and history; and dreaming about the Chinati Mountains. From these experiences the Chinati Mountains Study evolved into a series of paintings, drawings, and sculpture that helped me find and develop my creative voice through the pandemic.

Millerqart

Miller Quevedo is a Colombian artist that has lived in Houston, Texas since 2015. He is dedicated full time to his art. His development as an artist has gone through several stages of exploration between the figurative, expressive, and abstract. He has always taken interest in the study of the creative process, including how our brain works in this area. His taste for research has led him to communicate through his work an importance of developing and training all of our senses. This includes the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic senses. His works begin with the two-dimensional plane into the three-dimensional. These three-dimensional planes incorporate elements such as wood, aluminum, metal, and ropes. The result of these works give the viewer the opportunity to connect with their senses, as you can also see and touch the work in the process. The process also creates a sound response. During these interactions the viewer is activating three very important senses. Miller’s work is also rich in color, elements and creativity.

John Bishop is a painter and illustrator currently working in Houston, Texas. Though born in Houston, he has spent much of his life traveling. John obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Texas, and he has been involved in photography, creative writing and fine art ever since college. Though he spent 30 years working as a librarian in Texas, New Mexico, California, Romania, The Emirates, New Zealand, and Russia, John returned to Houston in 2016 where he and his husband now work full-time on their creative business in fine art, publishing, video production and commercial photography. My art attempts to connect, to bind disparate elements together into new vocabularies, new stories, that are both fresh and archetypal at the same time. I paint, photograph, and write about what I feel, not so much what I see. Don't look to my art for history, but rather for a glimpse into my own emotion, my own symbols, my own stories. Hopefully, you will recognize your story there too, and my art can become your art as well.

When I am working with a piece of paper, canvas, etc. I want to fill the area with "marks" that excite me. I like to be bold when creating my "marks" using charcoal and mixed media in describing a human form or a landscape. At first I work very fast using my whole body to create a rhythm. I look for relationships of my shapes to the surrounding shapes so that the background shapes and spaces are just as important. Thereafter I may add layers of mixed media to enhance the expressionistic tone of my work. I am fortunate to have this opportunity to create. I am also more fortunate to have a wonderful daughter and son...they mean the world to me. I also am lucky to have a great bother who has helped me in this adventure! I also have a wonderful husband who is my "stabilizer", if that can ever be done! I love to run, work out in the gym, swim, bike or just sit in the sun with my sketchbook and a glass of vino.

Artwork information: “On the roof-OSP-T”, Aluminum Print, 36”x36”

A native Houstonian, Syd Moen graduated from the University of Houston earning both a B.A. in Art History and a M.A. in Architecture. She has had a lifelong interest in photography including an early interest in digital photography. She uses her experience in photographic imagery and spatial thinking to create her artwork. “I suppose what I’m striving for in my art is a crossroads between reality and surrealism. In my work I present an unusual or non-human perspective in an effort to expose the spirit and purpose underneath the physical world. My goal is to enlist the viewer as a collaborator allowing them to discover and ultimately control the significance of what they see.”

My original approach when starting a painting is organic in nature , with transparency , layers of color, and connectivity of utmost importance. Spontaneity with control perhaps best describes my approach. I rarely have a set end in mind when I begin a painting……the work just seems to evolve and I make adjustments all throughout the process. This is a more intuitive approach than having a specific plan in mind. I often see human forms in my paintings and while unintentional, it pleases me to sense the connection between man and his surroundings. Having studied watercolor techniques for several years taught me patience and a unique way to carve out shapes and how to find them. This is a reverse process to direct painting yet both methods are necessary. It is the tension between the positive and negative spaces that bring the composition to life. My evolution as an artist has taken many forms and my passion to continually learn and explore keeps my enthusiasm alive. I consider these impulses to be a gift for which I am forever grateful. A Studio is my work place for the past 21 years and is located in the Washington Arts District in Houston, Texas, Suite117. Visitors are welcome by appointment or my work can be viewed through my website.

DeAnn is known for her colorful paintings and diversity of subject matter. Though she has an abstract style which is recognizable as her own, she continues to expand her style, subject matter and mediums. It is her goal to continue to show diversity in her artistic growth. Art keeps us open minded and aware of the world we live in. Art can inspire thoughts and dreams, promote empathy or healing or bring beauty. It can transform reality to create an alternate understanding or tell the truth in blatant vulgarity. Art is our greatest form of expression. A silent language that can communicate all things.
