Pavlina Vagioni is a Greek-born multimedia artist with a kaleidoscopic practice ranging from installations, sculptures, paintings, sound collages, and digital works. The common thread of her works is the reinterpretation of classical myths within a contemporary context. Using a scenographic approach, she varies the size of her works, from monumental to intimate dimensions, with a combination of abstract and figurative elements. Pavlina is an honours graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts and a first prize diplomate classical singer of the Alexandroupolis Music Society conservatory in Greece with additional studies in music theory, composition and piano. She retains studios in Athens, Greece and Houston, TX, USA, and regularly exhibits at Sawyer Yards in Houston, Kappatos Gallery in Athens, and online shows. “Who are the late bloomers? They are people who at whatever cost and under whatever circumstances have succeeded in finding themselves.”Brendan Gill “I am a late bloomer! Surviving cancer came at a personal cost. After making peace with the challenges my forty year survivorship brought, I was finally able to find myself and experience life in a whole new way - through art.In 2015, my first pieces of art were portraits of famous people made of many layers of paint, cardboard and glue. Frida, Diego Rivera, Napoleon, Josephine and Snoop Dogg and Martha were some of my favorites. Since then, I’ve branched out and created several Willies, Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan, Iris Apfel, a few family portraits, Bevo, and many others. My cardboard art work (assemblage) has a bit of a sculptural feel. These days, the medium varies from cardboard on canvas, to mixed media on canvas and paper. I also take commissions. My portraits are expressive and tell their stories in an intuitive way, hopefully evoking a smile or two from the viewer.

DeAnn is known for her colorful paintings and diversity of subject matter. Though she has an abstract style which is recognizable as her own, she continues to expand her style, subject matter and mediums. It is her goal to continue to show diversity in her artistic growth. Art keeps us open minded and aware of the world we live in. Art can inspire thoughts and dreams, promote empathy or healing or bring beauty. It can transform reality to create an alternate understanding or tell the truth in blatant vulgarity. Art is our greatest form of expression. A silent language that can communicate all things.

“I create fine art paintings using oil, acrylic, mixed media and watercolor. My style is impressionistic that utilizes bright contrasting colors. I paint landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, abstracts, animal and human portraits. I paint images in vivid color that I hope others will connect with. I paint with all the feeling in my heart to send a message to my viewer. My goal is to draw the viewer in to study my work to find hidden images. I make art to leave a piece of myself behind on this earth for my loved ones.”

www.artistandy.com ARTISTandy (Andy Gonzalez) born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, June 19, 1974, discovered art early in life, and began developing drawing and painting skills in school. In 1992, ARTISTandy began college and studied at Parsons Paris, School of Design in France where life and art began to sync. ARTISTandy produced hundreds of life drawings, sculptures, paintings and dove into studies in color and design. When he returned to the States in the mid 90’s, he continued studying Renaissance, Classical and Modern Art. In 2008, ARTISTandy began experimenting with a new style of work by combining Abstract with Cubism. Over 240 sketches, drawings and designs for oil paintings in his AGGA Collection are currently divided into twenty-one series and scheduled for production over thirty years; all with divine inspiration and messages within each piece, otherwise known as Modern Biblical Art. Shortly after the birth of AGGA, ARTISTandy launched a new Collection titled FACES. FACES are works of Mixed Media pieces on Canvas, Linen, Wood Panels, Di-Bond Brushed Aluminum Panels, Bas-Relief Sculptures and Liquid Chrome Sprayed Canvas. FACES depict close up images of of all types of human emotions, and of every living thing on earth in

an abstract style. FACES was inspired by ARTISTandy’s son Noah, and new works are produced daily in conjunction with AGGA. 2020 ushered in a new world ARTISTandy began to explore; the world of NFTs. It’s what all artists have been waiting for. A world that allows royalties of art sales to forever generate revenue through blockchain technology, and tied to a crypto digital wallet. ARTISTandy minted his first NFT on the OpenSea network, and has created over 100 NFTs to date, and continues to mint NFTs on Rarible and Portion as well. “NFTs are not the future of the art world, because it’s already here, and will forever be part of this space; the physical will co-exist with the non-fungible. NFTs are highly regarded investments by digital asset owners, and creators have no boundaries,” says ARTISTandy. Please visit ARTISTandy.com to see all the produced bodies of art, and visit studio 202 located at Silver Street Studios for art consultation, to discuss color, design, paintings, sculptures, NFTs and become an investor and collector in creations by ARTISTandy.

Artist. Geologist. Road Tripper As an artist, I see beyond the physicality and science of the landscape - it becomes a complex and unlimited juxtaposition of texture, color, and pattern. I want to take my viewer to wherever my imagination and creativity takes me - albeit without abandoning my scientific perspective. New projects include: a series of interior landscapes and how the outside influences the interior; woodworking and metal sculptures; and the Guadalupe Mountains of Texas.

My family line comes from many different places and cultures: Italy, Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia. I was born in Mexico and I moved to Houston a long time ago. Fragments of all these places made the culture I have. Fragments. What I am is what you see. We are complete humans until we have to describe ourselves. Then, magic happens! We have to use different words and feelings. We become fragments. We dismember ourselves. My inspiration and ideas come from Greek and Latin antique sculptures. Gods and characters of mythology come to life with a modern twist. I describe myself through the characters I create. I put me in all of them and, maybe you- if you dare. These fragments of life. This is what I do.

John Bishop is a painter and illustrator currently working in Houston, Texas. Though born in Houston, he has spent much of his life traveling. John obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Texas, and he has been involved in photography, creative writing and fine art ever since college. Though he spent 30 years working as a librarian in Texas, New Mexico, California, Romania, The Emirates, New Zealand, and Russia, John returned to Houston in 2016 where he and his husband now work full-time on their creative business in fine art, publishing, video production and commercial photography. My art attempts to connect, to bind disparate elements together into new vocabularies, new stories, that are both fresh and archetypal at the same time. I paint, photograph, and write about what I feel, not so much what I see. Don't look to my art for history, but rather for a glimpse into my own emotion, my own symbols, my own stories. Hopefully, you will recognize your story there too, and my art can become your art as well.

Jatziri Barron is a Mexican artist living and working in Houston since 2013, dedicated full-time to her art. The artist advocates through her art about the beauty of cultural identity and is interested in creating bonds for connecting people no matter their race, religion, culture, or background by creating awareness of different humanitarian topics. As she comments on her latest work, "We are an extension of nature, magnifiers of our culture and identity, our skin tell stories about our ancestors, we are our colors, we are our roots, and we're proud". Jatziri expresses the world around her through both figurative and abstract art since she believes constant exploration feeds her process of creation, the most important aspect of her art is carrying messages and awakening feelings of positiveness, interconnection, and representing individuals at their highest selves.

Breaking Waves 36”x48’’ Mixed media on cradled panel

Jenny explores the color, shape, line and texture of the world around her. An Australian/American, she has gone on walkabout many times, traveling the world, taking photos and drawing aerial views of the sky and landscape from plane windows and sketching the colors and shapes of objects that excite and interest her. The use of abstraction and fluid art allows Jenny to capture the essence of what she has seen, creating spontaneous fields of color and shapes that represent her geographic memories of the world from above. Her diptych “Wave clouds” was recently purchased by the City of Houston for installation in one of their airports. Jenny posts her stories, photos and iPad sketches of her travels on social media. To see her paintings, you can visit her by appointment in her Silver Street studio where she creates her art, or book classes or commission fluid art works through her website.
