My work explores the relationship between synesthesia, most of abstract and scrap materials. Also, it frequently includes dynamic, sweeping

brushstrokes of acrylic paint or black ink on canvas that characterize much of my art. It’s often noted that my paintings/ sculpted works convey a controlled but dynamic sense of movement. New synergies are generated from both traditional and modern structures. Mistakes or accidents often turn out to be fortuitous and usually remain. Ever since as a teenager, I have been fascinated by unrelenting divergence of the human condition. What starts out as hope soon becomes finessed hegemony of power, leaving only a sense of chaos and the possibility of a real world . As shimmering forms become frozen through boundaries and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with an epitaph for the edges of our condition.

Andy Gonzalez was born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands on June 19, 1974. He grew up in Pasadena, TX where he discovered he was an artist and developed his drawing and painting skills while in school. In 1992, Andy began college and studied at Parsons Paris, School of Design in France where he produced several life drawings, sculptures, paintings and studied color and design. When he returned to the States, he continued studying the Renaissance Period and Abstract Art, and started to compose drawings and paintings in classical realistic styles. In 2008, Andy began experimenting with a new Modern Art style of work by combining Abstract with Cubism. Over 240 sketches, drawings and designs for oil paintings in his AGGA Collection are currently divided into twenty-one series and scheduled to be produced over thirty (30) years; all with divine inspiration and messages within each piece, otherwise known as Modern Biblical Art. Shortly after the birth of AGGA, Andy Gonzalez launched a new Collection titled FACES. FACES is an unnumbered collection of Mixed Media pieces on Canvas, Linen, Wood Panels, Di-Bond Brushed Aluminum Panels and Liquid Chrome Sprayed Canvas that depict close up images of faces of all types of human emotions, and every living creation on earth in an abstract genre. FACES was inspired by Andy’s son Noah and is currently being produced in conjunction with AGGA Collection. Andy is painting and designing in his private studio in Katy, and studio located at Silver Street Studios.

Joel Anderson is an encaustic artist, blending the beeswax and resin with digital imagery in ways that reflect the medium's versatility and its unique appearance to evoke many patrons to ask "What is this?". Following a career in information technology, Joel discovered that the encaustic medium allowed him to bridge his past computer knowledge with his creativity in ways that permit his dalliances with drones and 3D printers as source material in his artworks. Joel is an avid participant in the regional art festivals, including Bayou City Arts Festival, the First Saturday Arts Market, and shows as far away as South Florida and the Chicago area. Joel is one of the member artists at Archway Gallery and serves as its director. His next solo show there is planned for January, 2022.

I am inspired by nature and my surroundings into capturing with paint, the feelings of delight, calm or awe they evoke in me. Everyday encounters, travel, magazines as well as photographs are used as a springboard allowing my imagination to surface. Paintings often happen when I am using previously started abstracts or have been using color in a playful way'. My work is a way to show the viewer how fascinating the world is to me.

When viewers watch these paintings they can see at first instance one large image. After a closer look they will recognize hundreds of small colored pixels. For me, on the canvas, color is the most important element. I hope that the person experiencing my paintings will feel a delight, similar to listening a melody. I like this quote by Wassily Kandinsky "If you let your eyes stray over a palette of colors, you experience two things. In the first place you receive a purely physical effect, namely the eye itself is enchanted but the beauty and other qualities of color. You experience a satisfaction and delight, like a gourmet savoring a delicacy .... And so we come to the second result of looking at colors: their psychological effect. They produce a correspondent spiritual vibration.... Generally speaking, color directly influences the soul”

Daniel Elliott is a prolific artist living and working in the Houston area. His works have been exhibited in several galleries as well as local exhibition spaces such as Winter Street Studios, Spring Street Studios, Silver Street Studios and the Silos on Sawyer. Daniel has also enjoyed several successful solo exhibitions at Hardy & Nance Studios in Houston. Viewers often comment that Daniel’s art bridges the gap between reality and construct, at times slanting heavily toward abstraction and at other times more grounded in realism. His art is often an expression of “things felt” rather than things seen. As reflections of the language of dreams, his images are both dark and hopeful, suggestive of intriguing narratives. Daniel works without detailed studies to create depth of atmosphere through prominent, expressive brushstrokes. In responding to his subjects, Daniel’s use of color speaks to our fluid emotional connections to memory. When he is not painting in his own studio at Spring Street, Daniel can often be found doing live demonstrations at venues such as The Woodlands Waterway Art Festival, Bayou City Art Festival, Art Crawl Houston, Galveston Art Walk, Art of the Carolinas, and the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Art. His paintings have found their way into both private and corporate collections throughout the world.

DeAnn is known for her colorful acrylic paintings and creations of atypical subjects/objects merged with various mediums. “Creating gives me a voice to express and release my artistic diversity. Art is always about exploration and growth. I communicate to the viewer through my choice of objects, movement, form and color. I would prefer to be known as a chameleon than to be boxed into a style and contained within boundaries or mediums. Each piece should illustrate its own perspective, truth or beauty. Art doesn’t need to be defined with vast statements, if it provokes a strong emotional response, it has fulfilled its purpose. Just as no two people are alike, each work of art should stand on its own merit.” Her inspiration comes from world travel, a deep sense of spirituality, nature and the human condition.

Miller Quevedo is a Colombian artist that has lived in Houston, Texas since 2015. He is dedicated full time to his art. His development as an artist has gone through several stages of exploration between the figurative, expressive, and abstract. He has always taken interest in the study of the creative process, including how our brain works in this area. His taste for research has led him to communicate through his work an importance of developing and training all of our senses. This includes the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic senses. His works begin with the two-dimensional plane into the three-dimensional. These three-dimensional planes incorporate elements such as wood, aluminum, metal, and ropes. The result of these works give the viewer the opportunity to connect with their senses, as you can also see and touch the work in the process. The process also creates a sound response. During these interactions the viewer is activating three very important senses. Miller’s work is also rich in color, elements and creativity. Today, Miller calls his work CONNECTING WITH YOUR SENSES.

Jatziri Barrón is a Latina artist native to the state of Guanajuato, Mexico and Houston based since 2013. In her work she explores humanitarian topics that study immigration, evolution, and the human search for connection and purpose, between others. As the artist states, “I want my art to create an alternative understanding and perception of reality.” Through the use of vibrant colors, visual metaphors, and mixed media she creates artwork with the purpose of awakening the natural sensibility, spirituality, and need of transcending in others and herself. Her work ranges from realism to abstract, to a mix of both. The artist also dedicates her time to private commissions which range from muralism to portrait art.

I capture memories and dreams with my art. My favorite medium in watercolor, but I do enjoy working in acrylics, oils, and pastels, as well as pen and ink, graphite and carbon dust in my drawings.

I use many different mediums from dry media to acrylics, oils and alcohol inks. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. www.jatziribarron.com
