Perth City Centre will be bustling with activity throughout the whole weekend - street entertainers, reindeer, fun fair rides, ice rink, music and entertainment. There will be something for everyone.

The Christmas Parade

Chocolate and Gin Street Fest

The Parade starts from Thimblerow at 5.30pm and makes its way to South Street/Speygate.

The Light Switch On Some sensational acts are making their way to the Fair City to kick start Perth’s glorious Winter Festival during the afternoon and into the evening. • Three stages of singing, dancing and festive fun – the Main Stage (Tay Street), the Childrens’ Stage (Horsecross Plaza) and the Festive Stage (King Edward Street) • Entertainment-packed streets • An array of tasty treats and street food. Don’t miss the main event at 6.15pm when the Perth Christmas Lights will be switched on by a host of stars and Perth & Kinross Council’s Provost, Dennis Melloy. See the city centre illuminated by thousands of lights as a fabulous climax to an afternoon of celebration and entertainment.

Fireworks Immediately after the Switch On, enjoy a spectacular fireworks display across the River Tay.

Perthshire Winter Cake Fest See Perthshire created in cake! Simon Preston will create a winter Perthshire – edible, frosty landscapes, snow-topped buildings, tasty Christmas decorations and all. Amateur and professional cake makers will help create well-known buildings and structures from across Perthshire out of sponge, chocolate, icing, biscuit etc. Cake Fest’s giant edible map evolves over several hours as the roads, parks and waterways are constructed, cake buildings arrive and are placed on the map. And once the photos are taken and the scene is admired… it is cut up and shared!

And all of this festive fun weekend is wrapped around a bustling, compact City Centre packed full of fantastic independent shops, big name High Street brands and an unrivalled choice of restaurants, eateries and bars.
