The gardens spread from the heart of the city centre of Perth up to Highland Perthshire and over to Strathearn. From projects such as the wonderful Walled Garden at Murray Royal to the manicured lawns of Cluny House Gardens set amongst the

breath-taking backdrop of Strathtay Valley, you will find inspiration and beauty in every corner of the region. Many of the gardens are free to enter with others asking for a small fee or donation to help the upkeep of the grounds, lawns and floral displays. Whether you are a keen gardener yourself, or are just looking to spend some time in a tranquil environment with stunning views, Perthshire’s gardens are certain to make a lasting impression on you.


Drummond Castle Gardens Described as the best example of formal terraced gardens in Scotland, this exceptional garden boasts many features, including a beech tree planted by Queen Victoria. Featuring an abundance of beautiful flowers and carefully clipped hedges and topiary, the gardens are framed by views of Strathearn and the backdrop of Drummond Castle.

The Bield This charming walled garden is situated within thirty acres of lawns and woodlands surrounding Blackruthven House, just outside Perth. The peaceful setting is connected to the project’s retreat, and invites drop in visits to the walled garden and labyrinth. Open: All year. Tuesday - Friday and alternate weekends. Cluny House Gardens

PKAVS Walled Garden

Set amongst some stunning woodlands in Highland Perthshire, Cluny House Gardens are home to exotic plants and trees originating from the Himalayas and North America.

Run by local charity, PKAVS, The Walled Garden at Murray Royal is a wonderful project that encourages people from all walks of life to enjoy the therapy of tending gardens.

The gardens overlook the scenic Strathtay Valley and are home to red squirrels and a variety of different bird species.

Visitors will find a beautiful setting with flowers, plants and homegrown veg all available to buy.

Bolfracks Estate And Gardens Set into Bolfracks Estate, Bolfracks Gardens boast a stunning collection of rare and unusual plants, manicured lawns and beautiful sculptures. A perfect place to unwind and while away a few hours, the peaceful walk through the grounds overlooks the Tay Valley, and is open for the public to come and enjoy.
