With the newly refurbished Perth Theatre and the remarkable Perth Concert Hall smack bang in the middle of the city centre, we are attracting some of the biggest names from the UK and abroad. With lots of events and venues celebrating the best of Perthshire’s art, theatre, literature and film –there’s bound to be

something that takes your fancy! From our libraries and galleries run by the city’s cultural trust, Culture PK, to the Theatre in the Hills – Pitlochry Festival Theatre – there is such a variety and they all have a place in Perthshire’s rich culture. While you enjoy these fantastic and cultured venues – make sure that you pay a visit to some of the independent shops, restaurants and cafés that Perthshire is so famous for! Birnam Arts Centre There’s always something going on at Birnam Arts, which has become renowned as a cultural hub. Offering fantastic events including live music, comedy, theatre and art exhibitions, this popular venue has grown to become one of Scotland’s favourites. Culture PK At the heart of Perth’s cultural community, Culture PK breathes life into Perthshire’s museums, galleries, archives and local history services. Pitlochry Festival Theatre Set into the hills of Highland Perthshire, Pitlochry Festival Theatre holds a unique place in Scottish culture, with a talented cast and crew producing six shows which change daily throughout the summer months. Horsecross Arts Horsecross Arts operate the newly refurbished Perth Theatre and the iconic Perth Concert Hall and as such, play a significant role in the city’s culture. Welcoming some of the best entertainers from the UK and abroad, as well as providing a centre for large conferences and presentations, both venues are a massive attraction in the heart of Perth’s city centre. The Birks Cinema The Birks is a wonderful communityowned cinema which was lovingly returned to its former glory in 2012. Famed for its art deco architecture, the building is steeped in history and has become a Perthshire icon.
