Mariam Wood, a housewife from the Bay Area garnered an astonishing 680 votes to emerge as a clear winner of the voting contest, followed closely by Jamie Safran, an upcoming model from the SF Bay. She is a mother of 3 daughters and prides herself for being a efficient home maker and doting mother. We may have just helped Mariam launch a commercial modeling career as there are many avenues where the homely beauty will be a perfect fit to convince her kin that her choice should be their choice too. BAYFashion asked Mariam to let our readers know a little bit about her... “ Hi All, my name is Mariam Wood and I am an Afghan American. Growing up as an Afghan girl, modeling really wasn’t an option, but was always a dream of mine. I always wanted to pursue my dreams and today, I am proud to be an Afghan model. I was inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s classic beauty as it still captivates everyone and I admire her magnificent poses. I am a proud mother of three beautiful daughters. I have always had a passion for modeling, but I devoted myself to my family first. My passion in life is to fulfill all of my goals in being the best mother to my children and pass on all the knowledge and experiences to them so that they can grow with all the wisdom. I love to go shopping with all my girls because we all have a passion for fashion. Shopping with my daughters is fun because we actually model all the different outfits in front of the mirror. My desires are to further grow in the modeling industry. I enjoy modeling because you can show your expressions not only through your body, but through your eyes.
