Technology Olympiad

Mrs L. Eagle

Towards the end of last term 5 Grade 7 learners from Waterkloof Primary School participated in the Technology Olympiad. They firstly had to write a test and then make a tower as tall as possible using limited materials. Our learners did us proud by coming third out of twenty-three participating schools. They were commended for their academic performance and for applying the structural principles they had learned at school. Well done Daniel, Diego, Nicholas, Lauren and Elize!

The olympiad was an experience that I will never forget! It was very scary but we pulled through with the help of our amazing teacher, Mrs Eagle! Thanks for the experience and good luck to next year’s competitors! Elize van Straten The technology olympiad was so much fun! At first it was a bit scary and difficult as we were trying to remember all that we had been taught by Mrs Eagle. Luckily, after a while it got easy and was fun. I think we all worked very well as a team and most importantly, did our best and had fun! Lauren Cook From the Sportsdesk
