Newsletter Extra murals will officially start on Monday 14 January 2013. Times are according to the extra mural timetable attached. Please note that the Grade 1’s only start with extra mural activities when they follow a normal school day timetable on Monday 4 February 2013. Please make sure that you PLAN your activities before taking part in auditions and trials as once you make a commitment to a team or a group, your attendance will be expected.
Swimming: Swimming trials for u 8 to u 13 will take place on Monday and Tuesday afternoon from 13:45 until 15:30. Please make sure that if your child is interested in swimming that they take part in the trials. Swimmers must wear the WPS black swimming costume and WPS swimming cap. Afternoon training will begin on Wednesday 16 January as per extra mural timetable. If your child shows interest, please let them begin training even before the team lists are made available. Beginners swimming will start on Tuesday 22 January 2013. Cricket: Cricket practices will start on Monday 14 February 2013 as per extra mural timetable. During the first two weeks, cricketers will be practicing during their match times as well. Cricketers must attend in their correct age group and must be dressed in the appropriate cricket practice gear – white shorts, cricket socks and WPS golf shirt. Junior Choir: Auditions for the Junior Choir will take place on Monday 14 January 2013 from 13:45 onwards in the hall foyer. Grade 1 s will audition for the Junior Choir in the beginning of the second term. Official choir practices will begin on Monday 21 January at 14:00 until 14:45 in the hall. Senior Choir: The choir will be start Wednesday 16 January 2013 from 13:45 until 15:15 in Mrs Lubbe’s classroom. Auditions for new pupils will be held in Mrs Lubbe’s classroom from 14:00 on that day. Please remember that if you join the choir, you are to be committed for the whole year. Tennis: Fixtures for next week Monday
