WATERKLOOF PRIMARY SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 12 – 2012
16 April 2012
From the Headmaster’s Desk Welcome to all members of staff, parents and children to the second term of 2012. We are looking forward to a very busy and interesting term with the usual challenges. It is also our concert term and the children are very excited to perform in front of their parents and can’t wait for the concert week to start! We are all looking forward to this lovely performance. Thank you to all members of staff as well as parents for the hours of time spent in practising, as well as support given to the school in this regard. Parents are advised not to wait to the last moment before purchasing their tickets.
Staffing Welcome to Mr Keegan Skinner, who is replacing Mr B. Erasmus as one of the school’s Phys Ed teachers. We wish him success in this new endeavour and many happy years of teaching at Waterkloof Primary School.
Charity
Mrs J. Shee
Please send in warm blankets to school during the course of this term to make somebody’s winter more tolerable. Your cosy contribution to assist someone in need will be warmly appreciated.
SPCA As from Term 2 SPCA ‘Change Tins’ will be in each register class. Please send in any extra change you have at home on a regular basis to support this wonderful organisation – thank you!
Signing of Homework Diaries
Mrs J. Shee
Parents are requested to please sign their child’s homework diary daily.
Maths Term Test
Mrs P. Biccard
Please take note that the Maths Term Test scheduled for Thursday 19 April 2012 has been moved to Tuesday 29 May 2012. The concert dates were moved forward which means that the Maths test would be written the day after an evening performance, which is not fair to our learners. Please diarise:
Grade 4 – 7 Maths Test – Tuesday 29 May 2012.
Stationery
Mrs J. Shee
Please ensure that your child has all the correct stationery at school every day of the term. Borrowing is not permitted as it causes too many disruptions to class time.
