History is an integral part of St. Augustine’s culture – old buildings, cobblestone streets, and lush gardens help create the majestic landscape of the city. Known to many as the “Old City”, St. Augustine offers centuries of European history and plenty of the natural beauty that is characteristic of the Florida coastline.

Outstanding YEAR ROUND WEATHER

Inshore and Near Shore Charter Fishing in St. Augustine and Northeast Florida.

While history is an undeniable presence in the St. Augustine area, the outdoor fun available in the area is just as world-class. St. Augustine is blessed with year-round outstanding weather and a full spectrum of natural outdoor playgrounds of every kind. There are the Atlantic beaches and long stretches of sand. St. Augustine and Fort Matanzas Inlets lead to the Intracoastal Waterway, and a collection of flats and creeks and rivers that are a haven for kayakers and canoers. Check our pages for places to rent your vessel of choice and get out on the water. Or, to step it up a notch, take watersports to the more splashy variety by sailing, parasailing or jet skiing. There are 102 parks in St. Johns County, presenting picture-perfect opportunities for birding, hiking and fishing. You can take an eco-tour with an expert or just set off on your own. And the bike trails of St. Johns provide an up-close look at “real Florida” that you can’t get from your car. The Rails to Trails program will link those routes to others in surrounding counties.

Phone 904-610-8859 www.walkercharters.com And of course, this kind of natural beauty makes the area, well, natural for the high-tech treasure chasing endeavor called geocaching — it combines old-school sleuthing with up-todate GPS technology for a fun-filled trip in the great outdoors.
