MISSIONS MOMENT:

JOY TREES

O Holy Night Offering Each year, we collect an offering for a specific cause at our O Holy Night services of worship. This year, we will be applying the offering from these services to the Newnan First UMC Benevolence Fund. The NFUMC Benevolence Fund was established to assist families or individuals within our membership who may have unexpected financial needs, resulting in an inability to make ends meet and cover family needs. There is a very well organized policy for the distribution of funds, which assures effective use of the funds.

Joy Trees are up in the Parish Hall lobby and there are only 34 tags left!!! Please prayerfully consider taking a card (or more!) and blessing a needful child this Christmas season! Follow the instructions on the card and turn in gifts by 10am on Monday, December 11. Contact Maria Bowers (mbowers@newnanfumc.org) or Kathy Wilson (KathyLWilson226@gmail.com) with questions. Thank you!

Throughout the year, we have persons within our congregation who are experiencing economic difficulties for a variety of reasons. This is a fund that is used more and more to help others. Needs covered by these funds are applied toward housing or utility costs, medical bills, grocery costs, etc., according to the established policy. In response to needs, there have been some very generous donations made toward this fund over previous years and many have been helped within our church family because of such generosity. As you consider your offering for our O Holy Night Services, please consider donating to this fund so that we can continue to minister to and meet the needs of persons within our church family. This, of course, is considered a "second-mile" offering above and beyond your offerings to the general church budget. You may also give to this fund at any time of the year by designating your offering for this particular fund. In addition, our first Sunday communion rail offering is generally applied to this fund.

CHRISTMAS EVE SUNDAY

11:00am | Combined Sunday Worship Service | Sanctuary (NOTE: This will be a normal Sunday worship service...not a Christmas Eve service) 4* & 11*pm | Traditional Christmas Eve Worship Services | Sanctuary 5:30*pm | Contemporary Christmas Eve Worship Service | Parish Hall *candlelight services

If you have questions regarding this mission and ministry within our church membership, please contact Kim Duncan or Maria Bowers. These offerings are often a much needed measure of grace. Thank you for your part in this ministry and mission of Newnan FUMC.
