TUESDAYS (Childcare available for 5th grade and younger for evening studies.)

Safe Place: A Christian Support Group for Female Survivors of Sexual Abuse (12 weeks) | Starting September 5 | 7pm | Youth Lounge | Shelter from the Storm: Hope for Survivors of Sexual Abuse by Kubetin, Mallory, & Truitt | Participants will experience unconditional love and acceptance, personal honesty, accountability, and the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. Safe Place is a sanctuary where women can be heard and experience hope, healing, and restoration. Facilitators: Kate Bohannon & Rev. JoAn Kinrade, assisted by Denise Johnston, Julie Lee, Stephanie Piper, and Alicia Porras Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer; Women’s Study (7 weeks) Begins September 26 | 7pm | Participants will learn how to get dressed for the invisible spiritual battle that rages around them all day, every day. Scripture reminds us that a cunning enemy seeks to wreak havoc in everything that matters to us--our emotions, our mind, our family, and our future. Participants will learn how to stand firm and experience spiritual victory and breakthrough in their life. | Facilitator: Brooke Barksdale After God’s Own Heart by Mike Bickle; Men’s Study (10 weeks) Begins September 26 | 7pm | King David was a shepherd, a psalmist, a liar, a murderer, an adulterer and the only person to be named in the Bible as “a man after God’s own heart. Participants will learn how to embody in their own way the kind of heart that reflects the very heart, emotions, and personality of God and to worship, serve, and love God with passion. | Facilitators: Adam Lofton, Ryan Brightman, & David Johnston Faithful: Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph by Adam Hamilton; Study for Adults (4 weeks) | Beginning November 7 | 10:30 am | In preparation for the Advent and Christmas season, participants will look through the eyes of Joseph and learn to accept and glorify God’s will even when life’s circumstances and personal situations make it difficult to do so. Joseph provides us a great example of humbly obeying God even when we don’t understand, faithfully moving forward in the strength that God provides. | Facilitators: Rev. David & Harriette Haygood

WEDNESDAYS

Nehemiah: A Heart that Can Break by Kelly Minter; Women’s Study (8 weeks) Begins September 12 | 9am | As Nehemiah faced great opposition and numerous setbacks, he and the Israelites learned how to totally abandon themselves to God's will and way for their lives. As we acknowledge what is going on around us, God often breaks our hearts for the hurting people in our midst. Participants will be encouraged to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and obediently do what God is calling them to do. Facilitator: Rev. JoAn Kinrade

CDL DRIVERS NEEDED

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

The church is in need of CDL drivers to help with the variety of trips and activites that require a bus. We are limited in what we can offer without a healthy list of available drivers. The church will pay for your training and volunteering to do this does not commit you to everytime we need a bus driver. Your name would be added to a list of people we could call on and ask. Think about it, pray about it, and let someone on the staff know if you think this is a ministry you could help with. Thanks!!
