KENYA 2017: INFO MEETING God has called us to be in partnership with the people of Kenya and support them through our visits, our financial gifts, and our prayers. On April 26, our church has the awesome privilege of hosting an informational session about the ZOE ministry model and our Kenya partnership.

Remember...we always have a drawing for a free meal each week for one lucky person! Sign up online (click “wnf” under “ministries”), through the app or on Connection Cards.

Reegan Kaberia, Chief Program Officer and Kenya Program Manager and Gaston Warner, Chief Executive Officer, stateside, will be here to kick off our commitment to this partnership with the ZOE Project. Reegan is on fire for Jesus and His children, and will share this model of ministry that empowers children to be their best and strongest selves as individuals, as participants in community, and as people of faith throughout the world. Gaston will be able to answer logistical questions about travel and sponsorship.

GIVE IT UP FOR LENT: UPDATE TOTAL: $10,594 We are still accepting donations to help us reach our $13,000 goal! Please donate to help us contribute to Bridging the Gap’s food pantry! This is what your giving can achieve!:

ZOE enables us to do more with less by investing in the lives of others. We are excited that a team is being formed for our next trip to Kenya--tentatively set for September 2017. We hope to have a team of at least 20 persons representing several churches in our Conference. Come see what the excitement is all about! The staff wants to show our appreciation to YOU!! Child care will be available for 5th grade and younger and providing them with a pizza dinner.

RALPH FREEMAN: SUNDAY, APRIL 23 Join us this Sunday at both Traditional Worship services for a special worship presentation by Ralph Freeman.

This year’s special guest speaker will be Rev. Scott Parrish. Scott is on the staff with the General Board of Global Ministries and the Conference Office of Connectional Ministries. He serves as Associate Director of Connectional Ministries for Missions. One of his focuses with the North Georgia Conference is as a mission resource and coach with congregations. He will be inspiring and informative and you might even get the itch to do more mission work – locally, nationally or internationally!

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Ralph Freeman earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Morehouse College. After spending nine years in marketing with the IBM Corporation, God led him into a full-time Song Evangelism ministry. His Christian witness, through song, has been a vital part of his lifestyle since 1980. For five years he sang with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus under the direction of the late Robert Shaw. Then God opened opportunities for him to sing across the U.S. and in many other countries.

RSVP by Monday, May 14 (on Connection Cards, online, or contact the church office) so that we can plan accordingly. Let us know how many adults, youth, and children will be attending!
