Editor’s Word As we are already halfway through the second semester, things at the College have become more vibrant and exciting. Quite a number of events and activities in this semester tend to be focused on issues about poverty, food justice and the environment, whether intentionally or coincidentally. In this issue, the two feature articles both illustrate this key theme. Meanwhile, dozens of other activities, be they organized by the College, the House Association, or the floor groups, be they social, cultural, intellectual, or career-oriented, continue to contribute to College members’ rich university life. Here we also include photos of graduating students taken at the High Table Dinner, recording the memorable and cherishable moments they have enjoyed with other EAC members.

EAC Fellow’s Foreword Dear students and readers, It is with great pleasure to communicate with you all in a way that I seldom use – write to you. EAC is a family so special to me. I grow up with the University of Macau; in fact, I grew up in the University of East Asia, the former identity of UM. That is why I feel for almost every milestone of UM. And the residential college system is one of them. Even more special is to become a Fellow of one of the two pilot colleges. Back in the first half of 2010, Professor Iu, my husband, and I brought our daughter to stay at Clare Hall in the University of Cambridge as visiting scholar and visiting fellow there. Research was supposed to be the reason bringing us there. But then, what we have enjoyed was the unique experience of being members of the residential college. When we came back, quite a lot of the good features that we experienced there were blended into the culture of EAC. My sense of belonging to a “big family” has never been this strong in UM. As all of you know, EAC is not a dormitory. It is a place where you learn about life, not just yours but also that of others through, say, the Oxfam activities. You learn about arts and culture, such as music, movies, arts, design, in ways that you won’t do in lectures. In here, you learn, not study! You learn about living with people by building strong bonds among EACers, supporting each other, laughing, and perhaps crying, together, enjoying the school lives together, or suffering from the tough exams together. What matters most is a home that is almost as precious as your parental homes. I hope you smart Penguin EACers, Emperor Penguins to be exact, can continue to enjoy and contribute to this special home of yours that perhaps has helped shape a special memory in your lives that no others can understand and treasure. I also hope I can participate in more of your activities and laugh together with you all more often.

余志穩博士 ２月２４日星期一晚，書院舉辦了２０１４年度首場高桌晚宴。前香港社會福利署署長，現任國際非政府組織 樂施會香港總裁余志穩博士應邀出席並擔任高桌晚宴的演講嘉賓。余博士近年致力推動公益事務，對社會弱勢 社群作出相當的貢獻，因此，EAC Newsletter 學生記者們把握良機採訪了余博士在公益領域上的經歷及見解。 On Monday 24th February evening, Dr. Stephen Frederick Fisher, Director General of Oxfam Hong Kong and former Director of Social Welfare of the HKSAR Government, was invited by East Asia College to its first High Table Dinner in 2014. Dr. Fisher presented on the topic “The Changing Face of Poverty in East Asia: Recent trends in research and analysis.” 立，當時的成立目的是在二戰運送食糧到被同盟國封鎖的德國 納粹黨佔領希臘人民，後逐漸發展為以「助人自助，對抗貧 窮」為宗旨和目標的國際非政府組織，除糧食救濟問題外，樂 施會還參與多個社會問題的工作，當中包括：國際貿易（公平 貿易）、教育、債務和援助、安定生活及居所、健康、HIV ／ 愛滋病、社會公平、性別平等、戰爭和天災、民主和人權及氣 候變化等。香港樂施會則是由一群關注貧困問題的志願者於 1988 年註冊成立，並且將工作重心制定以中國內地為主。在 1991 至 2005 年期間，香港樂施會在中國內地 27 個省市開展 賑災與扶貧發展工作，資金總額投入近三億人民幣，受益群體 則主要是邊遠山區的貧困農戶、少數民族、婦女、兒童、農民 工及愛滋病感染者等。 余博士指出香港樂施會近期其中一項的工作目標，是透過提供 更多資源，以增加前往山區任教的老師數目，從而提升內地偏 遠山區的中小學教學品質，此項目標確是任重而道遠！此外， 余博士表示，樂施會主要的工作是將那些成功且成熟的經驗帶 到需要的地區。其中的一例子是少數民族教育問題，他們主要 幫助保留少數民族小學，為他們提供課本，力爭使用他們自己

Since his departure from the Government, Dr. Fisher has continued his service to the community by volunteering at various NGOs and universities. In September 2010, Dr. Fisher joined Hong Kong Unison, which advocates for ethnic minority residents, as its Deputy Chairperson. Two years later, he was appointed by Oxfam Hong Kong as Director General. Dr. Fisher was awarded an SBS in 2010 for his dedicated and distinguished service to the Government and the Hong Kong community. The interview began with a comprehensive introduction of the non-profit organization - Oxfam Hong Kong by Dr. Fisher, and we were soon overwhelmed by his great passion for the work. Oxfam is an independent development and humanitarian organization of great international influence. It has thirteen independent member organizations. Oxfam was founded in Oxford, Britain in 1942, campaigning for food supplies to be sent through an allied naval blockade to people in Greece, which was then occupied by the Nazi Party during the Second World War. It gradually developed into an international non-government organization with the principle of ‘Working with People against Poverty’. Besides food aid, Oxfam also works on many social issues, such as global fair trade, education, debt and financial aid, proper living and housing, health, HIV/AIDS, social justice, gender justice, war and natural disaster, democracy and human rights, and climate change. Oxfam Hong Kong was registered by a group of anti-poverty volunteers in 1988, with its main focus on Mainland China. From 1991 to 2005, Oxfam Hong Kong has donated nearly 300 million RMB to 27 provinces in Mainland China for disaster and poverty relief, benefiting poor farmers in remote areas, minority groups, women, children, migrant workers and AIDS patients. Dr. Fisher said that the recent goal of Oxfam Hong Kong is to improve the quality of primary and secondary education in remote mountainous areas in Mainland China, providing more resources to keep the teachers there. During the interview, Dr. Fisher constantly emphasized the vision of Oxfam Hong Kong, which aims at bringing successful and valuable experience to the areas in need. Taking minority education as an example, the organization concentrates on conserving minority primary schools, providing textbooks for the ethnic minority groups and striving for the use of their own language as the medium of instruction. Another example is the unemployment of the Indians and Pakistan-

is in Hong Kong due to their lower abilities to write or read Chinese. Oxfam, with various local community organizations, engages in advocacy and campaigning action, as well as provides language training programs, community integration and other services in the hope that minority groups can better integrate into society and become selfreliant.

The student reporters asked: “Is the work done by Oxfam a complement to the work of local governments?” Dr. Fisher agreed and elaborated that Oxfam would also cooperate with some non-government organizations. After listening to the works of Oxfam Hong Kong, the student reporters raised questions with regard to the future goal of Oxfam Macau. Dr. Fisher replied that the organization aims at providing help to those who cannot support their lives owing to limited salary. Dr. Fisher said the situations in Hong Kong and Macau are quite similar. They will bring the poverty relief solutions in Hong Kong to Macau, which is to measure poverty by a poverty line. According to Dr. Fisher, poverty has long-term and structural causes. It does not occur overnight. It is usually related to economic and social causes or is brought about by the development policy itself. Everyone wants to live properly with dignity though they have to face unequal opportunity. In tackling poverty, handling in-work poverty is the priority and the key depends on whether we can assist low-income workers.
在解決貧窮的方法可以作為互相作為借鏡參考。余博士提到貧 窮是一個不公平，並非一朝一夕發生的問題，這是一個與社會 經濟，民生及政策發展有緊密聯繫的問題。人們都想有尊嚴的 活著，卻又要面對不平等的機會。他認為：「要解決貧窮問 題，首要任務是處理好在職貧窮的問題。」 另一方面，余博士展望澳門大學能與樂施會攜手，開展進一步 的夥伴關係，集思廣益共同研究解決社會問題的良策，這當然 包括本學期與我們書院合作的《良食節》系列活動！而對於將 來的期許上，有別於一般雄圖偉業的拓展佔據模式，余博士表 示他希望在樂施會的幫助下，當地社會能發展到不再需要樂施 會，樂施會於是可以撤離並把資源投放到下一個需要他們的地 區，這樣的結果才是最美好的。 余博士在職社會福利署署長期間獲得社會輿論、立法會議員、 非政府機構以至立場不同的同袍衷心稱贊，對他的工作的表揚 和肯定。從余博士對樂施會各事項的瞭如指掌，以及在介紹時 的鉅細無遺和殷切心情，我們亦深刻地感受到余博士對公益事 務的熱衷之情！
When asked about the outlook of Oxfam, Dr. Fisher expressed his hope to work together with the University of Macau for further partnerships, so as to draw on collective wisdom for better strategies to address different social problems. As for the general outlook of Oxfam, instead of any ambitious plan, Dr. Fisher hopes that, when a local community can undergo sustainable development and no longer needs the help of Oxfam, then Oxfam can decide to withdraw, so that the resources can be put into the next region in greater need. This would be the best result Oxfam and Dr. Fisher would like to envision. During his tenure as the Director of Social Welfare, Dr. Fisher won numerous approvals and sincere appraisals from the general public, legislators, non-government organizations and opponents for his enthusiasm, openness for public opinion, pragmatism, and commitment. From Dr. Fisher’s in-depth awareness of Oxfam's various matters, as well as his exhaustive details and earnest attitude during the sharing, we deeply felt Dr. Fisher’s enthusiasm towards civic and community affairs!

的活動包括參與由樂施會互動教育中心主辦的工作坊及美荷樓生活館導賞，更探訪了一些舊社區以及與弱 勢社群的市民互動，聆聽他們真實的故事。本活動的目的是為了讓書院同學們切身觀察一些真實的貧困和 住房問題，了解更多有關諸如香港這些所謂的國際都會的貧富懸殊問題，探索貧困的成因和含義，並討論 貧窮與我們每一個人之間的關係，從而提高社會意識和服務意識，最終激發同學們產生可能有助於減輕貧窮問題的想法並採 取行動。 了解香港公共房屋歷史 同學們第一站到達位於深水埗的美荷樓，這是同學們將要住宿的地方。同時它本來更是因 1953 年大火後應運而生的首批八 座六層高的徙置大廈之一，所以也能稱得上是石峽尾甚至香港公共房屋歷 史的見證與敘述者。
1953 年聖誕夜，香港石峽尾，一戶居民點燈不慎導致一場奪去了五萬餘人 居所的歷史性大火。承擔為難民提供居所的美荷樓由此興建。大樓起建之 初，單位內沒水沒電，每層樓只有中部有廁所和浴室，環境並不好。但從 展館中所展出當年人們生活的境況，除了對生活艱辛的感歎，更多的是對 未來的希望、與家人共度時艱的溫馨和睦。隨後同學們參觀了不同年代屋 內單元的佈局模型，從一開始一家幾口蝸居的板間房，到宜居的單元房， 再到如今改造一新用作青年旅社的套房，無不印證了歷史的變遷與社會 的發展。 樂施會貧富差距互動工作坊

此時探訪活動正好撞上天氣不穩的日子，在參觀完美荷樓之後前往樂施會的路上，下起了黃色暴 雨。但集成河流的馬路與頭頂的傾盆大雨都沒能阻擋同學們的熱情，同學們馬不停蹄地到達位於北 角的樂施會，參與一個關於貧富差距的互動工作坊。 在以互動話劇為基礎的工作坊上，同學們 通過聆聽、觸摸所提供的線索嘗試猜測故 事人物的生活是怎樣的。 At the drama-based workshop, students tried to guess what the character’s life is like by listening to and touching the hints provided.
活動開始時，同學們被分為兩組，分別從不同的角度來認識「小 英」與「阿 Nick」這兩個人物。同學們帶上眼罩，傾聽這兩角色 他們周圍的聲音；伸手入黑箱子裏，觸摸他們的生活物品;更走進 他們的房間，感受他們的生活細節。 最終簾幕被拉開，他們的身世被揭開，並以最意想不到的方式穿 越時空聚首在一起。小英因家境貧困被迫從重慶來到深圳的一家

玩具廠打工，但廠家不顧消防安全，只求利潤最大化，導致發生火災時， 民工們都無路逃生，其中小英全身最終有三分之四的面積被燒傷，這是一 個真實的故事。而阿 Nick 呢？他來自中產階級家庭，衣食無憂，崇拜奢 侈品，雖然 Nick 是假的設置角色，但他反映了時下不少青少年的生活方 式和人生價值觀。

通過強烈的對比和而後的探討，同學們深刻體會到了貧富差距在摧殘窮人 生活的同時，更扼殺他們的夢想，而對於貧富的極端差異,與少部分富人 過度追求利益，被物質衝昏頭腦的生活態度更息息相關。至於我們普通人 所能做的，便是從身邊的最細微的事情做起，為改變這種貧富極端不公平 出一分力。 家訪板間房住戶
之後 ，同 學 們搭 乘渡 輪 到達了土瓜灣，在協助該區居民的組織社工的帶領下，深入社區中的板間 房，發掘那些不為人知的底層人民辛酸的生活故事。 板間房（劏房），即是用木板把一個單元間隔開成有多個空間的房屋。底層 人民，其中有很多是新移民，由於並沒有經濟能力來租賃或購買面積適中 的居所，但為在香港有棲身之所，只得租用這種環境並不好的板間房。但 就算是板間房，100 餘尺的單元，即使位於街角的盡頭，竟然也要每月近四 千港幣的租金！ 同學們於是三人一組，通過分發的通訊地址，探尋板間房中的秘密故事。 經統計，板間房中有七成的居民是新移民，他們由於不同的原因來到香港 想要謀求更好的生活，但他們的權益卻得不到充分保障。政府的資助對要 等到定居七年後才分發，這無疑對新移民來說是可望不可及的。在新移民 中，更有部份居民是長期病患者、單親媽媽、60 歲以上的年邁老人，生活 對他們來說無疑是難上加難了,他們大多依靠一些零工、機構的資助，艱難 度日，有上餐沒下餐的，倘若再遇到什麼變故，可能就只能露宿街頭了。
同學們以小組形式走訪了十 多個舊式唐樓及劏房住戶。 Students in groups of three visited more than 10 families living in deteriorating tenement buildings (tong lau) and subdivided flats.
探究社區文化與歷史 次日，在探訪完板間房戶從他們口中瞭解生活的艱辛和不易後，大隊又回到土瓜灣區，同學們從另一個角度─城市歷史，來 繼續探究香港的社區發展。 在導賞員波哥的帶領下，同學們從海心公園為出發點開始了這段旅程。同學們驚奇地發現，眼前安寧平和航船往來的海面 上，在百年前，竟是打響鴉片戰爭的第一炮；那早已被居民區取代的樓房，是以往讓居民苦不堪言的水泥廠；低矮的磚瓦 下，曾經有數十萬的牛在這裏等待或正在被宰殺。 最後同學們遊至聖公會聖三一教堂和宋王臺，歲月變遷，桑海桑田，一路上的所見所聞，讓同學們無不感慨：歷史不總存在 於過去，更在我們的身邊，在那一草一木中，在街巷閣樓裏，而這一切只取決於我們能否去發掘罷了。 體會底層群體的處境以培養同理心 行程最後，同學們來到位於深水埗香港社區組織協會舉辦的《野宿 III》無家者攝影展，通過宣講展覽討論並與露宿者交流 的形式，體驗露宿者眼中香港社會，加深了同學們對露宿者生活環境、社會環境的認識。 露宿者，一個沒有基本居住保障的底層群體，他們生活之艱苦不言而喻。可 政府為了所謂的市容市貌，卻以千方百計來阻撓他們，使露宿變成一場逃 難。天橋底被鐵絲網封起來了；公園晚上露宿者就寢時，突然撒水清潔；待 露宿者鋪好紙皮後，還撒可以使皮膚發癢所謂的「消毒粉」，以驅趕露宿 者。 在探討的期間，我們也請到了一位前露宿者─祥哥，來與我們分享他的經歷 感受。他的例子更加極端，說在一次例常的街道清潔中，並無任何事前通知 的，警察就強行把他們的私人物品搬上政府的公車上，而當露宿者試圖要回 他們的財產時，警察說了句讓人哭笑不得的話：「你們的私人物品怎麼會在 政府的車上呢？你要拿回來也可以，我就告你偷竊咯！」

當人民的公僕不再是人民的公僕，露宿者只能尋求非政府組織的幫助。而政府以這樣的方法來使露宿者「消失」，這難道不 只是一個治標不治本的方法嗎？更進一步地質問，政府有什麼權利可以美化市容市貌的藉口對本來已經窮迫的貧困群體的 生存空間進一步打壓嗎呢？這些問題值得我們反思與質問，而對於我們普通人，相信我們可以做的不單是祈禱，每人出一 點哪怕是微薄之力，只要聚少成多也能改變現狀吧。 親身接觸真實故事， 親身接觸真實故事，反思日常實踐 這次旅程完結後，同學們均表示收穫甚豐，不但通過與城市底層及 邊緣人群的交流和走訪認識到香港基層社區中的各種艱辛困難，同 樣體會到香港這個國際大都市的社會的變革，歷史的變遷，也進一 步加深了對社會貧富差距的議題的關注和理解。書院希望同學們可 以通過親身接觸社會生活中的真實故事和狀況，反思自己的日常實 踐，以及在這個互連的世界中自己的角色及與其他人的關係，培養 出一顆尊重和願意去關心他人的心，最終發展成為一個全人。

This
trip comprised a workshop hosted by Oxfam Hong Kong's Interactive Education Centre, and a guided tour at the Heritage of Mei Ho House, as well as visits to some of the local communities in the old districts of the city. We talked to the people of the less privileged groups and listened to their real stories. This program was aimed at offering a platform for students to explore and discuss some of the poverty and housing problems, as well as understanding the widening wealth disparity in such so-called International cities like Hong Kong. We wanted to look into the meaning and causes of poverty, and discuss the relationship between poverty and every one of us. Through meeting with less-privileged people listening to their real stories, we hope to raise the students’ social and service awareness, and ultimately motivate them to generate ideas and take actions for poverty alleviation. Field Visits to Understand Poverty & Housing Issues The first destination was the YHA Mei Ho House in Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon, which was also the accommodation of the participants on the night of that Saturday. It is indeed one of the first few six-storey resettlement blocks originated from a devastating blaze that broke out in 1953; it marked the beginning of Hong Kong’s public housing policies. Despite the amber rainstorm warning signal at noon, the enthusiastic group continued their journey and visited Oxfam Hong Kong’s headquarters in North Point to participate in a meaningful interactive workshop which focused on the issue of the gap between rich and poor. After this workshop, the group crossed the harbor by ferry and reached To Kwa Wan. Led by the local organization that has been helping residents in that area, we divided into five small groups, visited residents living in subdivided flats in tenement houses (“tong lau”), who had low income, were aged, were newly immigrated, and/or suffered from other circumstances. During the home visits, these grassroots residents shared their untold stories with the students. On the next day, the group went back to To Kwa Wan, and followed the experienced docent “Uncle Bo” to discover the local history of the area, from Hoi Sham Park to Sacred Hill in Kowloon City. As the last part of the trip, the group moved to Sham Shui Po to see the “Homeless III” photo exhibition organized by Hong Kong Society for Community Organization, and attended a talk and sharing session with a social worker of the organization and a few former homeless people. Learning through Real Life Stories & Reflection The students expressed that this trip was very fruitful to their learning. Through listening to the people in person, not only have they developed a deeper feeling and understanding of the hardships of the different groups of grassroots of the city, they also observed the social and historical change of this dynamic, fascinating city. As a living and learning community, EAC hopes that, through meeting the people with true stories in society, students can reflect on their daily practice, and their role and relationship with other people in this interconnected world, so as to cultivate a heart to respect and care for others, and eventually develop into a whole person.

College Events 書院活動 14 February
開學派對暨慶祝元宵節及情人節 Welcome Back Party and Celebration of Lantern Festival and Valentine's Day Steven 撰 2 月 14 號，恰逢中國元宵佳節及西方情人節，書院學生會（HA）特地在 21 樓準備了盛大的派對來迎接剛剛從春節假期返校的同學。當晚活動現 場寒暄敘舊之後同學們自覺地一分為二，圍成一圈用買來的糯米粉和果醬 及芝麻醬製作各種口味的湯圓，也有用 HA 準備的材料，DIY 自己手鏈的。大家有說有笑，好不熱鬧，美味的湯圓煮了一鍋又一 鍋，吃在口中，暖在心裡，色彩繽紛的成品手鍊也寄託了同學們的美好心願。

職業生涯接觸系列：中國銀行澳門 Career Exposure Series: Bank of China Macau Ruby 撰 在澳大校友發展辦公室、東亞書院和中國銀行澳門分行的共 同組織之下，東亞書院同學於 2 月 26 日來到了中國銀行澳 門分行總部大樓參觀交流。書院導師 Sancia 首先做了關於澳 門大學住宿式書院的簡介。接著，中國銀行員工為書院同學 介紹了中國銀行澳門分行的架構，以及簡單理財的知識，大 家都表示出了很大的興趣。簡介之後的問答環節，大家踴躍 提問，想知道如何加入中國銀行；銀行職員都一致表示，要不斷學習，提升自己，不僅是中國銀行，其他企業也都會向優秀人 才伸出橄欖枝。 交流結束之後，書院同學來到了位於頂樓的宴會廳，有一種一覽眾山小的感覺，三座澳氹大橋一躍眼底，同學們都很興奮。 參觀結束後，同學們都覺得這種實地參觀以及同員工 交流很有意義，不僅可以了解企業現狀理念文化，更 可以幫助同學們樹立目標，進行未來的職業規劃。

東亞書院論壇： 東亞書院論壇：語言潛能與語言配套 EAC Forum: Language Potentials & Language Packaging Steven 撰 當晚八點，人文學院副院長徐傑教授為大家帶來題為「語言 潛能與語言配套」的演講，徐教授主要從事語言學研究，他 用深入淺出的語言想向大家傳遞了一些語言學的基本知識， 比如語言的重要性，外語與母語的區別，語言習得的關鍵期 及如何充分開發利用個人的語言潛能，以及澳門和新加坡語 言政策的對比分析等等大家頗為感興趣的內容，期間還引起 與同學們就如英語何以能成為世界語言等問題的熱烈討論。

院長晚宴： 院長晚宴：澳門青年藝術家霍凱盛 Master's Dinner with Young Local Artist Mr. Eric Fok Sherry 撰 本學期首次的 Master's Dinner，我們非常榮幸請到了澳門青 年藝術家霍凱盛來與我們分享他的藝術創作和靈感。霍凱盛畢 業於澳門理工學院，其作品曾獲國內外多個藝術獎項。2013 年，其以澳門古地圖融合現代新貌的作品《樂園》系列入選代 表「插畫界最高榮譽」的「意大利波隆那國際插畫展」。霍凱 盛的作品《樂園》系列融合了古代澳門地圖和現代元素，將密 密麻麻的發財車，擁擠的交通，高聳入雲的建築和賭場展現在 古地圖上，非常新穎有趣。而他的創作靈感，主要來源於他對

宣明會澳門饑饉賣旗籌款日 World Vision Macau Famine Flag Day Lorraine 撰 賣旗籌款是港澳地區特有的慈善活動之一，3 月 15 日下午 2 時半，澳大東亞書院的同學們在水 坑尾的蔡高中學白馬行分校集合然後進行宣明會賣旗籌款活動。大家分別都換上印有鮮亮橙色 的義工服，每人手上分到一個半密封、錢只能進不能出的旗袋，以及幾張印有「澳門饑饉 拯救 饑餓孩子」的貼紙。等所有準備完成後，小分隊一行人來到了新馬路議事廳前地路段，兩人一 組在馬路上散開，開始了賣旗工作。議事廳前地是商業繁華路段，熙熙攘攘人流量很大，但做 義工同學們還是飽嘗「人間冷暖」，許多行人遊客冷漠的拒絕捐贈或者滿腹懷疑的走開，有些的 則直接把義工們當作導賞員，問那個「牌坊」怎麼走，當然在活動中也不乏遇見令人心頭一暖 的好心人，有一位媽媽牽著才兩三的女兒走過來主動要女兒把硬幣塞進旗袋，另一位拎著菜籃 的老婦人則豪爽的掏出了 500 澳幣。下午五時，賣旗活動結束，雖然在馬路上足足站滿三個小 時令同學們都感到非常辛苦，但大家都覺得這是一次非常有意義的活動。

台灣單車環島之旅講座 Talk on Taiwan Cycling Tour Hiko 撰 當晚，Sports & Health WG 邀請了兩位曾用自行車環遊台灣的勇士來到 EAC 給大 家分享她們一路上的精彩故事。從照片中，我們看到他們在旅途中發生了各種各樣 的狀況：車胎爆胎、中暑、曬傷、腳抽筋等等。在被問到為什麼選擇這種折磨人的 苦行僧式的旅遊方式時，他們是這樣回答的：挑戰自己！而恰恰是這種方式，讓他 們感受到了台灣同胞的熱情好客，看到了平時旅遊所看不到的絕景。

東亞書院廚神大賽 EAC Cooking Competition 文豪 撰 由書院學生會 Social Activity 部門主辦的東亞書院廚神爭霸賽，書院的每 層派出了四個代表來爭霸廚藝。比賽在當天下午兩點開始，主要分主菜和 甜點這兩個環節。食材是豐富多樣的，主菜主要是抽簽方式來決定食材， 甜點是完全靠參賽者自由發揮。 主菜比拼中，２１、１８、１６、１９、２０及１７樓分別以巧手牛柳、香炒魷魚配黃 椒洋蔥、雙重牛肉、雙味鬥魚、黃金時代（豬肉）、甜酸豬肉配蔬菜拿到第一部分的排 列名次。第二部分，２１樓和１７樓分別以杏仁霜、甜脆金桔草莓並列甜品比拼的首 名。１６樓的芒果孖寶（芒果湯圓及芒果忌廉）、２０樓的白銀時代（馬蹄沙及木瓜糖 水）、１８樓的甜品拼盤（桂圓糖水、班戟、酸奶配綜合水果）、１９樓的班戟配冰淇 淋與榛果巧克力醬則分別獲得甜品比拼的依次排名。統計兩輪比拼，廚神爭霸賽的最終 排名為：２１、１６、１７及２０、１８、１９樓。最終由盧嘉諾、張夏為、陳媛、段 野牧同學組成的２１樓小隊以兩個環節總分數均最高，得到了這次廚神爭霸賽總冠軍。
