Prepare for Hurricane Season
Miami Beach Deputy Emergency Manager Shari Holbert Lipner said it’s important to pick an inland location — perhaps with family or friends — but they will also need to know how they’ll get there, and what supplies they’ll need to bring. Keep an Eye Out for Sea Turtles
Miami Beach becomes a nesting habitat for endangered sea turtles from April 1 to Oct. 31. Help us protect sea turtles and their little ones by minimizing the impacts of artificial lighting known to disorient our marine friends. If you live on a beachfront property, use sea turtle friendly lighting, turn off lights visible from the beach and close your blinds/curtains.
