OUR CHAMPIONS SARACENS REGAIN THE PREMIERSHIP It has been a tough season for Saracens who suffered a mid term blip with injuries and international call ups. However, the end of the season has been incredibly successful with the Women’s team winning the Cup a few weeks ago. On Bank Holiday Saturday Saracens went to Twickenham and in very hot conditions they played Exeter and won back the Premier League Title with a storming performance. Saracens are committed to the area and are opening their High School in September. During the last season they have had over 7,000 attend the Annual Fireworks at Allianz Park and provided Sarrie to open the Christmas Shopping Season and Lights on Broadway.

4 new Councillors join the Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum’s Committee. Newly elected Councillors for Hale Ward (Elliot Simberg , Lachhya Gurung, Laithe Jajeh ) and Golnar Bokaei in Mill Hill Ward join Cllr Val Duschinsky on our Committee as we say goodbye to Tom Davey and thank him for his help in our efforts so far. We intend to release a draft Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) at the end of June and a printed copy will be available in the Library having been submitted to Barnet Council. It should be stated again here than MHNF is apolitical and we operate across political parties. Notably our secretary (Mike Barker) was a candidate for Labour and our Vice Chairman (Richard Logue) was candidate for the Liberal Democrats. Electric Cars are the answer! The Mayor of London is asked to champion the future growth of the Electric Car; the number of charging points grew by 17 per cent from 2017 to 2018. “An electric vehicle is a great option for Londoners in the minority of cases when a journey can’t be done by public transport, walking or cycling. These cars are cleaner, quieter and much better for the environment. What puts people off though, is not knowing whether they will be able to find a charger. Mr Khan has already committed £4.5 million from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) to install 1,500 charging points across London. “We need to get the number and location of charging points right, as well as raise awareness of charging points in the capital. This infrastructure is essential if London is to continue the electric vehicles revolution.” The report (by London assembly member and former chairman of the environment committee, Leonie Cooper) recommended that the mayor adopt a pan-London approach to electric vehicles and in the short-term make parking for electric vehicles free to make people more likely to use electric vehicles. Will DEFRA now act on Noise & Air Quality issues? The Environment Secretary, Michael Gove, is said to have transformed DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs) from a moribund department of side-lined ministers with depressed & demotivated civil servants to being the part of Whitehall that is bringing forward new ideas. The launch of the new Clean Air-Strategy and states that it will give local authorities much needed powers to enforce emissions standards on building-site equipment and regulate the burning of fossil fuels. We hope DEFRA will also lean hard on Highways England to take action to minimise the effect of the 5 “noise hot spots” defined along the M1 from Scratchwood Services to Fiveways. IBSA (International Bible Study Association) House (18/1998/PNO) will partly be converted under “permitted development rights” into 221 Flats that do not meet London Living Space Standards, without needing planning permission as they only plan to change the internal fabric of the building. Doubtless there will be further application for planning on the rest of the site. This building should have been reserved for further Office lettings to bring employment to our town. Who wouldn’t want to move here from Central London where rents are 3x times the cost, and its only a cycle ride down a 1:10 gradient to Mill Hill East station where if you are lucky in the rush hour and there is a following wind, you could get a through train to Kings Cross on 20 minutes! Staff would be able to live locally and not commute! It is a fundamental flaw in Planning legislation that such a change of use, can be allowed.

We have started to produce the 3rd Mill Hill Guide for distribution to 12,000 homes in NW7 in September 2018. As before it will be a directory of all that is great in Mill Hill. This project relies on input from the public and the revenue from advertisers to pay for printing & distribution costs. The effort of collating information, copywriting, selling space, designing and setting the production is entirely done by volunteers. Many comments have been made about the previous editions include “well I have lived here 25 years and I did not know that was in Mill Hill” and “it provides a great statement of all that Mill Hill has to offer”. Do make sure you are featured in the next edition. MHToday is the monthly “digital” Newsletter that is not printed but is available throughout the year to complement the MHGuide. NEWS: from the NW7hub (Charity 1171742)

BY JOHN GILLETT

NEWS Neighbourhood Forum The NEW NW7hub in Daws Lane, Mill Hill, NW7. You can now see the designs for our new building in the current NW7hub (@ the Library Building) Hartley Avenue, Mill Hill, NW72HX on public display. We hope residents of Mill Hill will like the plans that have been produced by architects Nilsson Pflugfelder. It is proposed that Baufritz Ltd., (www.baufritz.com/uk ) who have been building bespoke solutions since 1896, will build to these plans, once approved, a highly sustainable centre that fits well within the residential street scene in Daws Lane, and will have great open views across Mill Hill Park. The Trustees of NW7hub Ltd (Charity 1171742) are excited about the plans that move us a stage further towards the vision of creating this centre for the benefit of the whole community. Of course, our big challenge is to arrange the funding to add to the Council’s commitment of £1m towards the build costs that are likely to be £3.5m in total. Now that we have the drawings and a firm commitment to costs, we can commence the task of fund raising. A small set of the pictures is provided below:

1st Floor plan with performance space, divisible into 3 rooms inc terrace, gallery, 4 uni-sex toilets & 1 disabled toilet, plus meeting rooms, stairs and lift, plus an open terrace.

Ground Floor plan, with Reception, Library, Café/Restaurant/Bar, 4 unisex toilets & 1 disabled toilet, Offices, Plant room, small retail shop, meeting rooms & the “Spaceplace” flexibly configurable for different activities throughout the day. Entrance at the front and from the Park, lift & stairs to 1st Floor

MONTHLY FEATURE |Working on Broadway Have you ever wondered when you buy your coffee in one of the great coffee cafes on the Broadway what it is like to work in one ? Each month Niamh writes for us to tell us about her day ! This is her sixth installment........... If you work in Mill Hill please let us know about your day !

Unfiltered News: Left in the Dark It’s a chilly Monday morning and as I approach the coffee shop, keys in hand, I can’t help but notice an unfamiliar figure lurking outside the shop. He’s much larger then I am and is looking my way. As I slot the key into the lock and open the door, I watch the man walk towards me. I’m unsure of his intentions and therefore, enter speedily, locking the door behind me. It’s an hour before we’re due to open. What could he possibly want? Once inside, I begin my morning tasks, carefully carrying deliveries inside and making orange juice. The man still lingers, eyeing me up. I decide he may be there for a number of reasons, none of which involve causing me trouble. Disregarding this logic, I defiantly put on the Hairspray musical soundtrack. Ten minutes later, Mr. Know it All, our fact book barista enters, calling my name angrily. I freeze. ‘Why did you leave the new guy outside? How welcoming of you’. My eyes widen as I vaguely remember reeling off yeses to all senior commands whilst paying little attention during the last hour of yesterday’s shift. ‘I’m so sorry..’ I start. ‘It’s okay’ New Guy responds, as he steps inside shivering. ‘I thought…’ I stop myself. ‘Let’s get on with it,’ First, I show him the machine, our gurgling, steaming baby. Realising the extent of your own knowledge whilst teaching someone else is a satisfying feeling. I explain how the consistency of the ground coffee beans affects the brew; too fine and the shot will be too bitter, too coarse and it’ll it will be weak. 23 - 27 seconds running time is the optimum. ‘So why did it just take thirty seconds?’ He questions. I blame the machine. I then show him how to steam the milk. A latte should have little froth, a cappuccino, lots of it. The milk should be 71 degrees, judged precisely by when you can no longer hold your hand to the jug. I add that anyone who wants their coffee extra hot is asking for their milk burnt. I tell him our policy: any drink demands with over three words in them are disregarded i.e. no skinny, wet, extra hot, decaf lattes. He looks sceptical; the words, ‘customer is always right’ written across the lines in his forehead. My rendition of the joke I was told on my first morning just doesn’t cut it. I then show him how to perform all the menial tasks before moving onto more important topics such as how to butter up the chef to maximise the amount of food you receive and how to discreetly dispose of accidental orders. However, something tells me that he won’t be attempting the latter two methods for a while yet.

INTERNET DATING ADVICE

The web has loads of advice for teens and twenties about dating....I put this together from several of them !

8 things Men subconsciously desire in a woman: What triggers a mans attraction, instincts? Or superficial turns out its unlikely things, habits and even mannerisms that can make a man attracted to a woman. Men and women are naturally drawn to each other in means to reproduce, we are wired to find each other attractive. 1. Figure: Men are often enticed by soft feminine curved figures; a small waist isn’t a must. Men are instinctively attracted to wide hips and a curved lower back as this is a symbol of fertility and child bearing ability, men find the small of a women’s back irresistible because of its innocent feminine allure. 2. Eyes: A women’s eyes are hypnotic to men, men find a women’s eyes extremely beautiful no matter what shape, size or colour. Women’s eyes naturally have a more curved lash line, men are naturally more drawn to curved slopes and lashes as they represent femininity and innocence. Men are drawn to large striking eyes, because they are considered to childlike and feminine. 3. Tone of voice: A women’s voice is naturally higher then men’s, men are attracted to higher pitched voices, but this isn’t always the case sometimes deeper raspier voices are able to induce sexiness as this is a playful way to turn your partner on. A pleasing voice is associated with a pleasing personality, it is also associated with ones psychically attractiveness. 4. Pheromone smell: Each of us have our own distinct smell, certain smells will attract certain males, one’s smell can send a message of sexual preference, most pheromones are in sweat, bodily fluids, males and females have differing smells. The smell of a women can increase testosterone levels in men. A women’s tears have the adverse effect and decrease levels of testosterone. 5. Hair: Men are drawn to a women’s hair because it represents her health and longevity, no specific colour is preferred to another. Men are drawn to gorgeous long locks of hair, medium to long hair is preferred because this shows vitality and youth, hair is also a symbol of playfulness, curly or wavy hair is a symbol of mischievousness which is attractive to men. Silky luscious hair represents a pleasant personality and health. 6. Lips: Lips are an important part of a women’s face as they can tell a man what mood she is in, her health and personality type. Men are typically drawn to big kissable lips or a prominent cupids bow, both are equally as attractive, men like the roundness of a women’s lips because they show that the person is well nourished and healthy, striking bright lips are bound to make a man stare, specially when coated in bright lipsticks e.g. red. 7. Kindness: A good personality is a must for attractiveness as females who are mean and unkind wont exactly gain the best attention men find kind women easy to trust and less intimidating, kindness is more feminine and adds attractiveness to her personality 8. Intelligence: Smart women are every mans weakness, men love it when women can keep him interested with facts, this makes a man want to stay with you, men aren’t just attracted to physical things in women, they want a woman who knows what she is doing. Intelligent women are easy to trust and are entertaining to be around.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

by RACHEL BARKER

RACHEL BARKER has joined our writing and editorial team and will bring regular articles about our cultural life in the area including coverage of minorities and issues to do with gender etc. The 14th to the 20th May was mental health awareness week. Every year, the week has a theme, and this year the theme was stress - and stress at work. In London, we are seeing people working longer and harder, and Mill Hill is no exception. Mental Health Awareness Week is about raising awareness; creating a culture of better understanding of mental health. But the reality of mental health at work is that it’s complicated. Work can be of great benefit to our mental health; because it gives us purpose and routine. But it is the nature of workplaces; from culture, to hours, to pay, to security, which sees some work fall on the side of being good for us, and some work fall on the side of not being. I worry that more and more we are seeing work which is low paid, is precarious and involves working hours that are simply incompatible with having a life. And I sometimes worry that everyone talks about these issues during awareness weeks and stop talking about them the moment they are done. So going into June, here’s a plea to all of you in our community - look after yourselves. Think about ways you can make your working environments positive for yourself. And if you feel that there are changes you want made to your workplace - and you feel able to; reach out to your employer to change them. And if you manage people, or you are an employer yourself, think about it too. Think about how you can make your workplaces places which are a positive environment. Workers with good mental health also work better and more efficiently, after all; everyone wins.

If you have a story that you would like to Rachel to cover which can be to do with any issues to do with the cultural life in the area including things like disability, gender, sexuality, agism, racism, bullying etc. or you represent organisations who want to help and get your message out then please contact Rachel via our email or via her twitter account https://twitter.com/rachellybee

ROYAL OPERA HOUSE ROYAL OPERA LESSON IN LOVE AND VIOLENCE MAY 24 2018

REVIEW

After braving the Thamelink meltdown of services I was lucky enough to have my seat upgraded for this World Premiere Production. Written by George Benjamin and Martin Crimp the opera is a modern telling of a historical tale of Edward the second and his son Edward third. Their last opera Written on Skin has become a much performed opera beating even Britten’s Peter Grimes last year for performances worldwide. The Opera is 90 minutes long with no interval and the story is told through comtempory classical music using textures and motifs. The Direction is by Katie Mitchell and it has clarity and punch. You are lulled into a world of intrigue and back stabbing and sex. It is a brilliant and clever piece which deserved to be as popular as their previious success. Barbara Hannigan as Isabelle is a wonderful singer and is ably supported by an excellent cast. George Benjamin conducted from the pit and the music sounded wonderful. A first rate evening - and afterwards I decided to get the tube and bus back to Mill Hill in order to savour the moment. You can hear the OPERA on RADIO 3 ( This actual performance ) on Saturday Evening JUNE 2nd and on iPLAYER for a month afterwards. If you put headphones and close you eyes the opera being in English should be easy to follow and enjoy.

LONDON ARTS H

REVIEW ROYAL OPERA HOUSE ROYAL BALLET SWAN LAKE MAY 2018 This is the first new production of Swan Lake for several decades. Therefore it is a vitally important one. No expense has been spared and the first thing that you will notice about this ballet is that the costumes and the sets are stunning. The ballet has been produced by Liam Scarlett and he has also provided some new choreography. The designs are by John McFarlane. Both are at the top of their game in this production which is sumptious and looks amazing. There are several partnerships of Odette/Odile and The Prince dancing during this run. I saw Sarah Lamb and Ryoichi Hirano who were excellent. However, reports say that every performance is top quality so it little matters unless you have favourite dancers. The Nunez/Muntgarov combination did the opening night and will do the BP Big Screen/Cinema relay on 12 June. Each act is a mini ballet in its own right. The first act set in a a country estate and then the second dark act in the forest at a lake. The first two acts come before the interval and the second act features the Corps de Ballet dancing the famous Swans choreography. This was very beautiful and anyone who dreams about seeing a ballet would be moved to tears by seeing this live in this theatre. Act 3 comes after the interval and has a stunning set for the Palace Ball. The costumes glitter in the lighting and there is a sweeping staircase. Into this beauty comes Von Rothbart and the Black Swan (Odile) who tricks the Prince leading to a coup de theatre in the break down of this act which led to lengthy applause as the Black Swans rampaged around the ballroom. This has to be one of the best acts of ballet I have ever seen. It really has everything. The Final Act is back in the lake setting. Without wishing to spoil it for you - it is very emotional with some new choreography from Liam Scarlett. Having seen the Bolshoi nearly 2 years ago with their unsatisfactory ending - this is anything but.....it is deeply emotional and very lovely. The whole run was sold out before it even opened such was the buzz. However there are still three ways you can see it : 1. Friday Rush Tickets : each Friday at 1p.m on the ROH website they release 49 tickets at all prices on a first come first served basis. Needless to say you would have to be lucky to get some but it is worth trying if you are good on the computer. 2. PHOENIX CINEMA Screening : Our local Finchley independent cinema has tickets available still at ÂŁ18 adults and reductions for children and families to see the screening on JUNE 12, Go to their website as soon as you can. FInally 3. BP BIG SCREEN in Trafalgar Square is a FREE screening on June 12th. Starts at 7p.m and ends at 10.25p.m We suggest you get there early and read our guide in our Whats On section for more advice.

Taking Part ? | Fiddler On The Roof

By Farhat Dar

Fancy taking part in MHMTC’s production of Fiddler On The Roof? Mill Hill Musical Theatre Company is holding auditions on Monday 4 June from 8pm for our October 2018 production of blockbuster show Fiddler On The Roof. The audition panel for the The Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Joseph Stein classic – following the trials and tribulations of poor dairyman Tevye and his family in pre-revolutionary Russia – will be casting 12 of the show’s main characters on 4 June at Hartley Hall between 8pm and 10pm. These include the star role of Tevye, the larger-than life dairyman hoping to marry his daughters off well – but of course only according to Tradition! His lively, loving family include feisty wife Golde, and strong-willed daughters Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava, who challenge their father’s old-fashion views when they respectively romance a poor tailor (Motel), a reactionary student (Perchik) and a Russian Christian peasant (Fyedka). But Yente, the matchmaker, is trying to fix Tzeitel up with the much older and well-off butcher Lazar Wolf, while the ghosts of Grandma and Frumah Sarah, Lazar’s first wife also appear memorably over the course of the show. We are also looking for people to join the chorus, as Fiddler features a big cast of villagers and Russians. Ideally, candidates will be able to commit to rehearsals every Monday, plus Wednesdays from September (8pm-10pm), plus band call and technical rehearsals on Sunday 21 October (2pm-9pm) and dress rehearsal on Monday 22 October (6pm-10pm). The show, directed by David Coleman with Derek Holland as the MD and show conductor, will be performed at Hartley Hall, Flower Lane, Mill Hill, NW7 2JA from Wednesday 24 to Saturday 27 October 2018 at 7.30pm, plus a Saturday 27 October matinee performance at 2.30pm. Anyone who is interested in joining us, either on stage (we are very keen to hear from male performers) or behind the scenes, please contact us by email on join@mhmtc.co.uk or call 07798 670004.

Does it ever snow in June?

MHMTC’s postponed March Quiz Night is here! Barring any further extreme turns in the weather, MHMTC’s Quiz Night – postponed from 3 March due to the Beast from the East – will take place on Saturday 23 June from 7pm at Trinity Church, 100 The Broadway. MHMTC stalwart (and treasurer) Dr James Penton is your MC, and he has more than 100 questions across nine topics, and including a marathon round, that will definitely get your little grey cells working overtime. Tickets cost just £12.50, and for that price you will also get a delicious portion of fish and chips during the interval, and not forgetting the pay bar and prize raffle. Book your tickets ASAP by calling Chris Hubbard on 01923 247098.

WHAT’S ON W

SWAN LAKE FOR FREE JUNE 12th TRAFALGAR SQUARE 7pm

AFter reading our review in the Arts section then perhaps you would like to see SWAN LAKE for free. There is a way and we will tell you how ! This is a FIVE STAR production which is possibly the best one you can ever see ! BP BIG SCREENS have been going for several years now. They run in Trafalgar Square and this year open with SWAN LAKE on TUESDAY JUNE 12th. They are totally free to attend and have become a really popular way to watch opera and ballet while having a picnic and enjoying the huge screen and sound. In addition there are Hosts from the Royal Opera House who introduce the events and special features on the big screen to get more enjoyment from the event. So here are the details : Getting There / What to Bring : We reccoment getting there any time after 6p.m. Charing Cross Tube is next door to the entrance to the event. Obviously the earlier you go the better position you can find. Toilets are on the Square. You cant take in glass bottles so make sure you have plastic - decant wine/beers into plastic If rain is possible take plastic macs. Bring a cushion or get a free one on the night....concrete is hard...and a bag for food litter. THE EVENT | SWAN LAKE JUNE 12th Begins with features and host at 7p.m. This is a great way to get the crowd warmed up and you can be eating your picnic and having wine, BALLET 7.30 to 10.20p.m The ballet is in two parts - Act 1 and 2 then a 30 minute interval and then act 3 and a further interval of 25 minutes then Act 4. This gives plenty of time to socialise and have food and drink and enjoy the host and features. As long as the weather is good then it is a fantastic experience and one that everyone should do at least once, With this Swan Lake being sold out at the Royal Opera House and not coming back for at least 2 years then this is one of the few chances to see it. The events are family friendly and if you have wannabee ballet dancers in the family then this is a great safe space and because of the big screen and relaxed nature of the event it is an ideal way to introduce them to live ballet performances.

SPORTS NEWS

THE LATEST FROM ALL OUR LOCAL CLUBS SARACENS END SEASON WITH A FLOURISH Saracens have had a mixed season but the last few games have seen them win and win big with huge scores in all their last 5 games - over 40 points in each. This took them to the Final at Twickenham. In a first half Saracens went in with a 12 - 3 lead after dominating the game after the first 10 minutes were all Exeter. In the second half Exeter fought back and with a yellow card for Brits reducing Sarries to 14 men it took a final try near the end to win the game. Huge celebrations then started on the pitch and in the dressing rooms. Congratulations to the team and the Women’s team on an incredible end to the season and the double,

HENDON FC LOSE IN EXCITING PLAY OFF and BARNET WIN BUT GO DOWN In an exciting end to the seaon our only Football League team Barnet won 3 - 0 against Chesterfield in front of a record crowd of over 5,000 at The Hive but a draw for Fleetwood at Coventry meant that Barnet were relegated to non league where they will play in the National League next season along with Borehamwood who are also local to Mill Hill. Hendon FC played the Play Off final for promotion to the National League South against Dulwich Hamlet in front of 3,000+ fans. An exciting game went to extra time and sadly a winner from Dulwich saw them through. Congrats to Dulwich and lets hope Hendon can make it next season, They are in a new league - and we will bring details about the campaign in coming issues. http://www.hendonfc.net/

Events at Mill Hill Village Sports Club The Family Fun Day held on Sunday 6th May was a fabulous success and everyone who attended had a great time and remarked what a wonderful occasion it was, which is borne out by some of the phots you can see. The weather was spectacular, as was the crowd and the attractions on offer. The Club would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involved in preparations and volunteering on the day, as well as the caterers and stall holders. It was tremendous effort by everyone. We managed to make a little profit from the event and in keeping with our commitment, we have been able to donate a percentage of these profits to our amazing Charity Partner, Noah's Ark. The certificate of thanks provided by Noah’s Ark shows that £656.46 was raised as a result of our donation plus individual contributions given on the day. A great result for everyone. Fundraising at Mill Hill Village Sports Club The fundraising efforts continue this month as we are in the ‘race’ for the ‘#community matters’ Waitrose Green token scheme for May. We have been asking all Members and friends of the Club to pop their green tokens into our box when shopping at Waitrose, to secure a share of the £1000 on offer, for distribution to three worthy causes. There are no losers in this excellent initiative and our thanks goes out to Waitrose for including us in the participants this month.

MILL HILL VILLAGE SPORTS CLUB Sport at Mill Hill Village Sport is what we are really all about and this has been a very busy month for the Club, as the close of the Football season and the start of the Cricket season have overlapped. The 1st team footballers finished a creditable 3rd in a tough division and the 2nd team climbed up to an equally respectable 4th place. There may yet be a promotion on the cards when the decks are shuffled by the league at the start of next season.

The Cricket season has got off to a slightly damp start as the wonderful weather of the Bank Holiday weekend has been sandwiched by some wet weekends. Nevertheless the 1st team cricketers have played two games and sit at the top of their Division. Just 4 points separate the top 7 at this very early stage of the season. Both they and the 2nd team have won one and lost in their opening two games. The 3rds are yet to complete a fixture due to rain and withdrawal by opposition. It will be interesting to see how the sides settle down but the omens are good, with strong availability and some promising new talent on show. Junior cricket has been a lot busier with dozens of matches already played across all age groups. The U11s are yet to record a win, as they try to acclimatise to life in the top division of the Middlesex East area, playing against the ‘big boys’. The U13s on the other hand are unbeaten in their Division 2 league and have an area Cup final to contest later this month. The U15s are also unbeaten, although they have only managed two games so far. Promotion looks a real possibility for both of the older sides. At the younger end of the scale, the Club are a delivery centre for the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) All Stars Cricket initiative. We welcomed 33 new 5 to 8 year olds to the Club on this 8 week introduction to cricket programme. This is a brilliant scheme and shows the tremendous enthusiasm that still exists for our national Summer sport.

MILL HILL RUGBY CLUB Celebrating 80 Years

The 17/18 Season Comes To A Close: Both Mill Hill RFC’s 1st & 2nD XV were promoted last season and for both to finish just shy of the top spot in higher leagues after enjoying most of the season on top is a fantastic achievement and not one to be disappointed in at all. Not only this but both sides reached the finals of their respective Middlesex County cup competitions. Unfortunately, there was no silverware to take home however this has been one of the best seasons in years and the players look only to improve on this heading into the 18/19 season. One award the club received at the end of this season was from the Rugby Football Union (RFU) – this was the official RFU Rugby Club Accreditation. The club now looks forward to representing Mill Hill on the international stage as the club sets off on tour for Romania on the 7th-12th of June to play their national side’s development squad followed by a match against a top club side. In preparation for the season to come, which starts in September, we will be training throughout the summer to give up the best chance of doing Mill Hill proud in the following season. As always, everyone is welcome to join us both Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:30pm-9pm for men’s and 7pm-9pm Thursdays for our new ladies’ side which we are in full swing recruiting for now. Celebrations Mill Hill Rugby Club celebrated its 80thanniversairy in style with a wonderful dinner attended by over 200 members past and present along with friends from the community. We look forward to celebrating the next 80 years with you all!

Did you know? This year has seen THREE members of Mill Hill Rugby Club nominated for the Rugby Football Union Mitsubishi Volunteer of the Year Awards for work with rugby and the community – Nominated for Mill Hill : Joey Healy, Ed Wade, and Hugo Webster.
