e would like to introduce you to a very young girl who enjoys cheerleading, is proficient in music and is also a youtube enthusiast. This talented girl’s name is Ashley Lee. Just recently, her name was selected as the winner of the Cover Girl for our AmerIndo Magazine.
My favorite Indonesian food is IndoMie and nasi goreng.

6. If you do not become an artist, what do you want to be? If i do not become an artist, I would probably want to become an attorney and follow my father’s footsteps into his law firm.

11. If you’re moody, what do you usually do to entertain yourself? If i’m moody, I would stay in my room and cuddle in my bed and watch YouTube videos so that I don’t bother anyone with my moody attitude.
4. What do you know about Indonesia? Can you tell? I know that Indonesia is the fourth largest country in the world. I also know that it has a lot of islands and Java is the most populated one.

I’m kind of an open book and tell a lot of my friend things that are happening in my life. 15. During your career, is there any obsession or desire that you have not accomplished? Can you tell us? During my career, I really want to be able to get on a much larger magazine company. Of course, it doesn’t have to be on the cover. The fact that I’m going to be on the cover of the AmerIndo Magazine still blows my mind! 16. Mention your biggest achievement during your career? My biggest achievement is creating good instructional videos that I uploaded into YouTube. My fellow students know that I shoot good videos. Indonesian Professional Panel: Journey to Success of WeTravel; Della Tosin, Product Designer at PepsiCo; Vinna Gracia, Make-up artist and social media personality; Ivan Lee, Silicon Valley entrepreneur. Special guests Jane Wibowo, President and CEO of First Way Insurance & Financial Inc. and Roland Wiryawan, Filmmaker and founder of Row Pictures The event started with a moderated panel, asking questions from their average day, approaching clients, and of course, the recipe to their success. “When I first started I had zero money for a year because I had to give free service to get my name out there.” Said Vinna Gracia regarding her start in the makeup business. The panelists also discussed the difficulties of working in the world that is constantly changing. The challenges that were echoed throughout the conversation was according to Zaky Prabowo, “Selling evolving products, to unknown customers.” People also wondered about the panelists’ average day. “We’re going about 100 miles per hour everyday.” Rif Wiguna said. A typical day for most panelists are meetings and designing their products. Despite the hectic schedule, they love going through the motion of their day. “I think it is very important because I had a lot of fun in my work.” Della Tosin said about everyday life.

Their advice for the students attending university? To follow their hearts and enjoy every part of the journey. According to the panelists, mistakes are lessons that are learned and the university is a great place to explore. Julia Gouw also added the importance of networking and for Indonesian students to be confident in communicating. Mistakes can be made, however Julia learned that American society loves to give second chances and are willing to give them another opportunity.

As students, networking events such as this, are instrumental in exploring and finding future careers. “Events like this provide a networking platform for Indonesian student in the United States.” Said Tiffany Santosa, event officer of PERMIAS LA.

Spotlight on Indonesia at PATA Chapters U San Diego Event
n March 2nd and 3rd, the PATA San Diego Chapter (SANPATA) provided an exceptional educational travel industry conference in San Diego. The PATA Chapters U SANPATA featured informative and engaging sessions on Travel and Tourism to the Asia Pacific region with leading industry speakers, which included Keynote Speaker, Mr. Andrew Jones, CHA, PATA Chairman, www.pata.org from their Bangkok head office. Andrew Jones quoted, "It was indeed rewarding to meet with the PATA Chapter representatives and travel agents of North America at the PATA Chapters U educational conference. The event was very well organized with many enriching presentations from the Asia Pacific suppliers. Moving forward, there is a value need for more engagement with the Chapters and PATA Bangkok."
Following this 2-day conference, agents then took in the annual consumer San Diego Travel and Adventure Show. Travel enthusiasts had the opportunity to meet face to face with the SANPATA travel expert booth team and introduce them to the services of PATA, the Pacific Asia Travel Association, which has a very strong presence inIndonesia and Asia, having hosted the PATA Executive Board and PATA Board Meeting and PATA Annual Conference 2013, with the 800 organization member Indonesia Chapter hosting the Hub City Forum in October, PIC Breakfasting with Travel Agencies & Media in Jakarta, July and the PIC Conference & Exhibition in May of that year, Jogyakarla. Indonesia also supports a PATA Indonesia vibrant STPNB Student Chapter.
The Indonesia Consulate was represented by Gina Fadilla, and Indonesia/Far East itinerary Star Clippers Tall Ships was featured on a Small Ship Cruising panel. Ms. Fadilla, commented "the local PATA San Diego chapter put together a wonderful event for the travel agents." alam rangka mendukung upaya pemerintah dalam membangun sumber daya manusia dan berbagai fokus pendidikan, KBRI WDC mengajak berbagai institusi pendidikan tinggi di AS untuk bekerjasama dengan institusi pendidikan di Indonesia.
Education Conference yang berlangsung pada tanggal 23-24 Februari 2017. Dalam sambutan pembukaan, Dubes RI, Budi Bowoleksono menekankan pentingnya pilar pendidikan dalam hubungan Indonesia-AS. Salah satu fokus KBRI adalah mendorong lebih banyak mahasiswa Indonesia yang belajar di AS dalam bidang STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics). Dubes RI dalam kesempatan itu juga menghimbau agar universitas di AS aktif membantu upaya-upaya tersebut. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Atdikbud Ismunandar, mempresentasikan Overview of Indonesian Education Landscape & Collaboration opportunities, yang menceritakan gambaran umum tentang Indonesia yang sering di-overlook oleh publik AS, termasuk akademisi. Dia juga menyampaikan perkembangan pembangunan Indonesia, termasuk pembangunan pendidikan dan peluang-peluang beasiswa, penelitian dan kerjasama dengan Indonesia: kerjasama dengan universitas, Darmasiswa, dan beasiswa LPDP. Undangan agar mahasiswa AS memanfaatkan Beasiswa Seni Budaya Indonesia (BSBI), Darmasiswa, dan study abroad di Indonesia juga disampaikan. Penggalangan dana dilakukan melalui donasi hadirin, bazaar makanan, penjualan batik asli Papua dan merchandise “Uncover Papua”, termasuk CD Pacenogei yang menyanyikan soundtrack film documenter tersebut, dan pada puncaknya acara lelang lagu. Donasi yang berhasil dikumpulkan pada acara malam itu akan disumbangkan untuk pendidikan dan kesehatan generasi muda di propinsi Papua.

Lewat pemutaran film dokumenter “AleNia’s Journey Uncover Papua” produksi Alenia Pictures, Ari dan Nia Sihasale mengajak hadirin untuk menikmati keindahan alam dan kekayaan budaya Papua. Dokumentasi perjalanan pasangan itu menjelajahi Papua melalui jalan darat, menurut Nia, merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengabarkan hal-hal positif, pembangunan dan kemajuan Papua kepada dunia internasional. Turut memeriahkan acara pada malam itu adalah penampilan dari para pelajar asal Papua yang sedang menimba ilmu di California State University San Bernardino.

Chiief Osby is the ninth Fire Chief of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He has served as a member of the Los Angeles County Fire Department for 31 years. He heads one of the largest emergency services agencies in the world, providing traditional fire and life safety services to more than 4.1 million residents and commercial business customers in 58 cities served by the Department, and all the unincorporated areas of the County within its 2,300-square-mile service delivery area. The Department operates out of 172 fire stations, including 4,800 emergency responders and business professionals operating on an annual budget of just over $1 billion.

Acara konferensi bertajuk “Florida International Leadership Conference” yang digagas oleh Megan Crowley dan teman-teman Educators di Stetson University College of Law adalah acara tahunan yang diselenggarakan pada setiap bulan Februari yang bertujuan untuk mendorong siswa menggunakan pengalaman di kampus untuk membangun keterampilan profesional mereka, dan pada setiap tahun sekitar 130 mahasiswa dari 45 negara dan 30 educator ikut berpartisipasi di acara ini. Pada hari Jumat dan Sabtu malam konferensi, panitia menjadi tuan rumah penyelenggara coffee house yang telah berjalan selama 4 tahun, di mana pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya menyajikan tema berbeda antara lain “Incredible India, Arabian Nights, Fiesta Latina dan Harajuku Station”, dengan menampilkan makanan dan kebudayaan masing-masing Negara. Family White Water Rafting in Manado By Luciana Atmadja
L
ooking for a once in a lifetime and adventurous holiday activity in Indonesia? White water rafting may just be the one thing you have to do. White water rafting may not be the first thing in your mind to do with family, since many think of the sport as an extreme one for experienced adventurers. We have 2 girls ages 12 and 9, and it was something they will remember and would want to do again in the future.
to manage and navigate the rubber raft where we wanted to go. Each of us was equipped with an oar to help move the raft. We were told there were a few routes we could take, depending on how extreme we wanted the ride to be. We opted for an intermediate one and had a blast riding the river for almost 2 hours.
With many locations around the islands for water sport activities, Manado is a beautiful destination with challenging and certainly fun white water rafting locations.Nimanga River happens to be located in the Timbukar Village of Manado, North Sulawesi.Not many tourists visit the village, as it is not a well-known tourist destination.
In the middle of the route, we came across walls of steep rocks we can jump from, varying in heights, with the top about 4 meters above the river surface. We were jumping into the fresh and cool water. Water proof cameras and wallets are very useful during the trip, as we can keep on taking pictures while having fun in the water.
The trip started with us being transported to the river by an open container truck since the roads leading to the starting point of the rafting could not be accessed by a car or van. Once we were there, we were greeted with the island’s snacks and the rafting instructors. They were ready with our gears and life jackets, excited to take us on a river adventure we won’t forget.
We ended our white water rafting adventure with a traditional Manadonese lunch by the river, which was included with the rafting package.It was a perfect adventure day, one we hope to do again soon. Until our next adventure from Indonesia, we hope to see you give white water rafting a try! The cost for a group of 7-10 people for water rafting is approximately Rp. 250.000/person. Advance reservation is recommended if you have a large group. The cost includes the lunch and snacks provided at the water rafting site. For hotels in Manado area, prices range from Rp. 500.000 to Rp. 1.000.000 for a minimum of 3 start hotels. There are many options for lodging, a hired driver is also recommended to reach the water rafting area.
The river terrains were not very easy, with many rocks and hard currents. We came across many small waterfalls that made the ride even more exciting. Each raft had 2 experienced instructors 17

coconut milk. You truly cannot help but fall in love with these babies. They bellow and some even hold their own bottles. They then roll around the mud hole for a soothing bath. They appear to be very happy and content, which did our hearts good. You can even get close enough to touch them. If you adopt an elephant, which can be done for as little as $50 US dollars, they allow you to come back to the refuge at a special 5:00p.m time. This is when you can get special time with your adopted elephant.
t was 10:45 am when we gathered at the line to enter the David Sheldrick wildlife refuge. Every day the refuge allows the public to pay a small $7 fee to watch the orphaned elephants come in for their morning feeding of milk and to play in the mud. For me, this was a very special day, as we had adopted a baby elephant named Esampu and we would get to meet her for the first time. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Refuge is located in Nairobi Kenya and has done wonderful work since the center was opened in 1977.
When we arrived back at our 5:00pm time slot, we stood on the side of the road where the handlers bring them back from the area where they have safely roamed during the day. Once again, they arrive back at a fast clip, as they know milk is waiting for them at their individual stalls. They know exactly where to go. The handlers all wear green smocks and they alternate between the babies so that the elephants do not get too attached to one handler over another. Elephants are very social and are family oriented creatures. They are known to grieve losses for years, often times returning to the same location to the place of a lost relative, time and time again. DapheSheldrick, the founder of the refuge, in loving memory of her husband David, experienced this heartache first hand, when she lost an orphan elephant that she was caring for. It was after a vacation where she was away from the refuge and it is believed the baby died of a broken heart before she returned.
Esampu was rescued on the sixth of July, 2016 and was believed to be just a young,five months old when she was found emaciated and alone with little evidence of other elephants in the area. It is not known for sure but it is believed that her family was likely a casualty of a human wildlife conflict.Sometimes this retribution results in the spearing of elephants. Of course poaching of elephants for ivory remains a very large problem and the wildlife refuge works tirelessly to make safe havens for elephants to live out their typical 70 year life span; free and in the wild. We entered the facility and stood by a rope as we anxiously awaited the orphans’ entrance into the area. One by one, they came thundering in to get their bottle of milk. Some were overly anxious to get it and the handlers did a superb job at making sure every orphan got their bottle. The formula is a human baby formula, with the addition of AmerIndo

We got to play with Esampu, rub her little trunk and fed her some Lucerne, which is a plant elephants love to snack on. This was truly a memory I will cherish as long as I live.

Museum Madame Tussauds Hong Kong Bakal Pajang Patung Presiden Jokowi Jokowi dipilih berdasar pada polling yang dilakukan oleh pihak Madame Tussauds. Jokowi telah menjadi sorotan dunia internasional sejak muncul di Majalah TIME dengan tajuk “A New Hope”. Selain itu, dalam berbagai paltform survei yang dilakukan pada pengunjung museum, Jokowi menduduki peringkat pertama dalam kelompok tokoh pemimpin dan politik. Bahkan perolehan suara Jokowi mengalahkan Hillary Clinton dan Donald Trump. Pada pertengahan Oktober 2016 lalu, Istana memberikan izin kepada pengelola museum untuk membuat patung lilin Jokowi. Tim pematung dan seniman Madame Tussauds Hong Kong pun segera menemui Jokowi di Istana Negara untuk melakukan pengukuran.

useum Madame Tussauds baru saja mengeluarkan pengumuman yang bisa membuat bangga rakyat Indonesia. Diterbitkan di website resmi museum tersebut, www.madametussauds.com, pihak pengelola mengatakan jika dalam waktu dekat akan nenajang patung lilin Presiden Joko Widodo di Museum Madame Tussauds yang berada di Hong Kong.
Demi membuat patung lilin tersebut terlihat mirip, ada lebih dari 200 pengukuran detil yang dilakukan terhadap Jokowi. Tak hanya itu, ratusan foto pun diambil saat itu untuk memastikan tim pematung bisa membuat patung terbaik dari Jokowi. Jokowi sendiri menginginkan agar patung lilinnya nanti dibuat senatural mungkin seperti dirinya yang asli. Tharyat, Konsulat Jenderal Indonesia di Hong Kong mengungkap bahwa Jokowi sendiri yang memilih pose untuk patung lilinnya. Sedangkan latarnya dipilih oleh staf Istana Negara.
“Madame Tussauds Hong Kong siap meluncurkan patung lilin Presiden Indonesia Joko Widodo. Pengunjung bisa melihat patung tersebut pada pertengahan tahun ini di The Peak,” bunyi pengumuman tersebut. Jokowi sendiri merupakan presiden kedua yang patungnya akan dipamerkan di Madame Tussauds.
Sementara itu, nilai nominal yang digunakan untuk membuat patung lilin Jokowi ternyata cukup fantastis. General Manager Museum Madame Tussauds, Jenny You, mengatakan perlu waktu enam bulan untuk menyelesaikan patung lilin agar tampak mirip seperti aslinya. Dana yang harus dikeluarkan pun tidak mainmain, yaitu sekitar HKD 1,8 juta atau Rp3.016.330.723,91 (Rp3 Miliar).
Sebelumnya, presiden pertama Indonesia, Soekarno telah terlebih dahulu dipajang di Madame Tussauds Hong Kong dan Bangkok. Nantinya, patung lilin Jokowi tersebut akan disandingkan dengan patung Soekarno dan Mahatma Gandhi. Hal ini tentu merupakan sesuatu yang membanggakan mengingat tak sembarang orang bisa dibuat patung lilinnya oleh Madame Tussauds.

Cullinan dan Ruiz dipecat akademi film pada Rabu, 1 Maret 2017 karena salah memberi amplop pengumuman pemenang pada ajang Academy Awards ke-89 pada Minggu, 26 Februari 2017 lalu.
Selain itu, Java jazz festival juga memfasilitasi beberapa konsep tribute, salah satunya adalah “Tribute to Al Jarreau”.
Bodenheimer, mengatakan petugas keamanan siap disiagakan setelah alamat rumah dan foto-foto keluarga dari Cullinan dan Ruiz muncul di media.
Musisi jazz legendaris Al Jarreau diketahui baru saja wafat pada 12 Februari yang lalu. Demi mengenang sosoknya yang legendaris serta karya-karyanya yang sangat apik, khusus pada event Java Jazz Festival 2017 kali ini, beberapa musisi jazz sengaja membuat project “Tribute to Al Jarreau” untuk membawakan kembali lagu-lagu hits sang legenda.
Kesalahan Cullinan dan Ruiz bisa dibilang yang paling fatal yang pernah terjadi di acara penghargaan bergengsi tersebut. Keduanya dinyatakan melakukan kesalahan ketika mengumumkan “La La Land” sebagai pemenang penghargaan Film Terbaik Oscar padahal yang menang seharusnya adalah film “Moonlight”.
Lagu-lagu karya musisi peraih tujuh Grammy Award itu dimainkan oleh Manna Trio, Jacky Bahasuan dan pemain saxophone asal Hawaii, Michael Paulo.
PwC bertanggungjawab atas kejadian ini dengan menyatakan bahwa Cullinan dan Ruiz sudah melakukan serangkaian kesalahan dan dianggap gagal melaksanakan protokol di belakang layar.

Saudi Umumkan Investasi di Indonesia di Tengah Kunjungan Raja

aja Arab Saudi Salman melakukan pembicaraan dengan Presiden Joko Widodo, Rabu, 1 Maret 2017 dan menandatangani serangkaian persetujuan kerjasama pada awal kunjungan sembilan hari di Indonesia. Kunjungan tersebut merupakan yang pertama dilakukan oleh raja Saudi dalam hampir lima dekade.

How to Deal with a Childish and Selfish Boss
I
outburst was a reflection of your boss, not you. So you do not need to be embarrassed by the behavior of your boss! If you have the opportunity to get up and leave the situation without blame, without being punished, or fired, then move on. If you cannot switch physically, then mentally move on. It will make you free psychologically. Try to learn the times he/she was angry or create a grouping scheme to mark the different episodes, such episodes 1, 2, 3, and so on. The goal is not to fight your boss, but to make yourself calm so that you can pass when your boss is shouting and angry.
n the world of work, one of the leading causes of a stressful being work atmosphere is the nature of the boss. Is the boss fairly emotional, temperamental, or irritable because of trivial matters? It can be very common in the workplace, where the dominant character of a boss can manifest itself in the work force by arrogance, bad character, or poor performance. The impact a boss can have can make employees depressed, cause lack of initiative, or other emotional feeling . This can all be the consequences when we are faced with a stern, crabby, cranky, lazy, and childish boss. According to Vince Molinaro a management expert who has spent 10 years of writing articles about leadership, one type of leadership which he described is the type of leader that is childish. Such type of leader is a person who is not an adult, acts juvenile, wears work clothes and sits in an office. Molinaro said, “They have the emotional maturity of a two year old child, so if they cannot make a habit of it, they will be angry.”

It is important for you to find sanity and support from others. The good news is, if you work with this kind of boss, most people would look at his/her behavior, and everyone knows that you are opposed to it. Find support from your team partners and use your boss as an excuse to get synchronization with another.
There is no good news if you work for a kind of leader like this. Just as a child, you will never know what he/she expected. The dumbest thing you can do is to provoke someone with this behavior it’s best to let he/she be calm, and you cannot do anything during the process of waiting for him/her to calm down. The good news is that parents know very well how to cope with the chaos of children aged 2 years, so you can borrow some of their tricks and apply it when facing a boss who acts like a 2 year olds. You try harder and harder to reach for their compliments, but they simply use this as a way to get you to do things they want.
There are numerous bad effects of toxic relationships, but one thing for sure is that it is very difficult to identify when we are in them. So, here are five dangerous signs that might indicate that you are engaging in a toxic relationship. You cannot be yourself One sign that you are in a healthy, loving relationship is that you can be yourself when you are around your partner. They threaten to breakup with you all the time This is the ultimate warning sign of a broken relationship. The “I will breakup with you if you don’t lend me $50.” This happens so many times in the relationship, and sadly, we choose to comply because we love them! If your partner ever threaten you with the breakup statement so that you would do things that only benefit them, just take the threat and end the relationship. If someone really loves you, they would not emotionally blackmail you just to get you to do stuff for them. Especially when they know that you are genuinely in love with them.
Guilt trips Your partner always had a certain knack for making you feel guilty or indebted to him/her. Whenever they need something from you, they will bring up that time when they brought you chicken noodle soup when you were sick just to make you feel obligated to do whatever they want. Prepare the filling: 1. In a bowl, combine the ground meat with the shrimp, leek, garlic powder, egg yolk, salt and pepper. Place 1 teaspoon of filling into the center of a wrapper. Fold one corner up and over the filling, almost to the top, and press gently to close. 2. Turn the package over pointing down. Take the 2 outer corners and fold these up, then stick them together into a triangle with a dab of beaten egg, or a slurry of flour and water. Repeat with all the pastry sheets. Heat the oil, and fry the pangsit until golden brown, then drain on paper towels. 3. Prepare the dipping sauce: Melt the butter and sauté the garlic. 4. Add the tomato ketchup, ginger syrup, sugar and 1⁄3 cup water; continue stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Add the vinegar and salt, then taste the sauce: it should have a mildly sour and sweet flavor. Add a little water if the consistency is too thick.

Asal Mula Alam Semesta dibuktikan, orang Kristen mengatakan bahwa pandangan lawan, tidak ada pencipta dan segalanya terjadi begitu saja, juga kepercayaan yang tidak dapat dibuktikan. Dan, itu adalah sesuatu yang jauh lebih tidak mungkin dan tidak masuk akal, bukan?
enganut Naturalisme dan sebagian besar saintis modern mengatakan alam semesta tidak ada asal mulanya. Sebagai seorang awam dengan usaha yang semaksimal mungkin, penulis akan mencoba menjelaskan dari segi ilmiah.
Antara Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Agama (khususnya Kristiani) sebenarnya tidak ada perselisihan. Semakin mendalami “Science” membuat kita lebih sadar tentang alam semesta yang sangat kompleks, dan semakin lebih nyata bahwa kerumitan yang mengagumkan. Bayangkan, mulai dari persiapan dan penyusunan atom dan molekul, dari DNA dan kromosom, dari kehidupan, alam, dan manusia, tidak mungkin dihasilkan akibat dari teori “Big Bang”, atau perkembangan evolusi secara kebetulan (accident). Inilah pasti yang dimaksudkan oleh Louis Pasteur, ketika dia mengatakan, “Sedikit ilmu pengetahuan, menjauhkan manusia dari Allah, banyak ilmu pengetahuan membawa mereka kembali kepada-Nya”.
George Gamow pada tahun 1946, tidak mencoba menerangkan sumber asal mula alam semesta adalah sebuah ledakan yang sangat besar dari tenaga atau cahaya, yang terkenal dengan istilah “Big Bang” (Letusan Besar). Tetapi dia hanya menunjukkan keyakinan, bahwa ketika sesuatu atau seseorang menyatakan, “Jadilah terang” (bd: Kejadian 1:3), tenaga yang sangat besar yang terjadi. Itu adalah dasar dari segala materi yang sekarang ada di seluruh alam semesta. Menjelang tahun 1960-an secara teknis dapat ditemukan radiasi elektro-magnetik yang diramalkan teori Big Bang dan meresmikan kesimpulannya. Di tahun 1978, Arno Penzias dan Robert Wilson, teman kerja Gamow, diberi penghargaan internasional (hadiah Nobel) di bidang Fisika (George Gamow meninggal pada tahun 1968).
Kita baca dalam Kejadian 1:3, ”Berfirmanlah Allah: ‘Jadilah terang.’ Lalu terang itu jadi.” Sumber dari terang yang sekarang kita kenal, mencakup matahari dan bintang-bintang, termasuk ketika kita menyalakan korek api atau menyalakan lampu. Tetapi pada hari pertama tidak ada matahari, binatang atau manusia. Sifat dasar dari terang ini, benar-benar suatu misteri.
Memang “Science” sampai saat ini hanya setuju dengan bagian ayat pertama dari Alkitab (“Pada mulanya … - Kejadian 1:1), seperti yang ditulis Guru Besar Divac dari Universitas Cambridge, “Agaknya ada saat tertentu yang jelas dari ciptaan”. Dan para ahli ilmu fisika/ filsuf alamiah juga tidak mau menduga-duga lebih dari fakta itu. Seorang ahli fisika terkenal bernama Stephen Hawkins (Cambridge University) berkata, “Titik mula yang sesungguhnya dari ciptaan ada di luar bidang pengetahuan sekarang dari hukum fisika”. Dan di mana fisika tidak berani menginjak, seharusnya iman menuntut didengar, bukan? “Pada mulanya Allah menciptakan langit dan bumi” (Kejadian 1:1).
Dikatakan Allah memisahkan terang dari gelap (Kejadian 1:4). Gelap bukan bahan yang dapat dipisahkan dari terang. Kata “gelap” hanya menyatakan tidak adanya terang. Jika ada gelap, maka tidak ada terang; dan jika ada terang, tidak ada gelap. Karenanya, tidak ada logika yang memuaskan dari anggapan pemisahan terang dari gelap. Seorang Profesor bernama Nathan Aviezer menjelaskan konsep zaman purba dari bola api (“fireball”) yang menjadi tanda dari permulaan alam semesta, menurut teori Big Bang. “Bola api” adalah satu konsentrasi tenaga murni yang sangat dahsyat.

Menurut rumus Einstein: E = m.c2 bukan saja zat bisa diubah menjadi tenaga, tetapi tenaga juga bisa diubah menjadi zat. Adalah tenaga semula yang ada di bola api zaman purba, yang merupakan segala zat (bentuk padat, cair atau uap = matter) yang sekarang ada di seluruh ruang angksa. Namun, ketika “matter” pertama kali dibentuk, tidak berada dalam bentuk atom. Suhu yang begitu tinggi dari bola api zaman purba, akan segera memusnahkan setiap atom yang ada. Makanya, “matter” ada dalam bentuk yang berbeda, yang disebut “plasma”. Perbedaan yang penting dari dua bentuk “matter” itu adalah, bahwa atom bentuknya netral (electrically neutral), sedangkan plasma terdiri dari butiran-butiran sangat kecil (particles) dengan pengisian listrik positif atau negatif. Sifat dari particles yang positif atau negatif, seperti plasma menangkap (traps) cahaya dan menghalangi berlalunya. Karena alasan ini, plasma selalu kelihatan gelap (black hole), bagi pengamat di luar. Alam semesta awalnya, kelihatannya gelap karena “plasma”. Transformasi tiba-tiba dari plama ke atom, tidak lama setelah ciptaan, menyebabkan radiasi elektromagnetik (cahaya) dari bola api zaman purba, “memisahkan” dari alam semesta yang tadinya gelap dan bersinar dengan bebas di ruang angkasa. Pemisahan ini disebut “decoupling” dalam istilah ilmiahnya. Ayat di Alkitab, “Dan Allah memisahkan terang dari gelap” (Kejadian 1;4) dapat dimengertikan sebagai pernyataan terhadap pemisahan dari terang dan gelap bola api campuran plasma. Pemisahan radiasi “terang” yang pada akhirnya ditemukan 15 milyar tahun kemudian oleh Penzias dan Wilson, membuat mereka pantas mendapatkan hadiah Nobel. Maka jelaslah alam semesta ini ada permulaannya. Dan hal ini bertentangan dengan pendapat Naturalisme, yang mencoba menolak Allah Pencipta alam semesta. Puji Tuhan, ada ayat dalam kitab Kejadian (juga ayat-ayat lain) menantikan pemenangpemenang hadiah Internasional, menguraikan isi sandi arti dan membuat kita dapat memahami kebenaran yang terdalam dari ayat yang telah dibaca berabad-abad, dengan cara kebiasaan yang dangkal. Itulah bagaimana penjelasan-penjelasan modern dari teks-teks kuno yang menakjubkan kita. Galileo mengatakan bahwa Ilmu Pengetahuan (Science) menceritakan tentang sorga (heavens), namun Alkitab memberitahukan manusia bagaimana masuk ke sorga (heaven), yaitu melalui Pribadi Kristus, Sang Pencipta yang menjelma menjadi Juru Selamat ke dunia ini.
