Students in Grades 9 and 10 follow the Cambridge IGCSE Curriculum. Students study nine subjects with Board examinations taking place at the end of Grade 10.

Grade 11 and 12 students follow the IB Diploma Programme, with Board examinations taking place at the end of Grade 12.

Delivery of the Academic Programme

This academic year we are back to onsite physical school post disruption due to COVID 19. The provision of our Distance Learning Programme is based on the full school timetable and is guided by the TISB Learning Continuity Plan actioned when there is interruption to in school lessons such as local government regulations/guidance, adverse weather conditions etc. Each subject then provides 100% synchronous (online and live via Microsoft Teams) lessons following patterns of the standard school day. Live participation and engagement is encouraged during online lessons to reduce loss in teaching learning.

Assessments During Distance Learning

Every effort is made to made to conduct all assessments/exams in school but should there be a requirement due to exigent circumstances we are guided by the following arrangement: TISB conducts regular and continuous formative and summative assessments to measure the progress of students Online assessments are conducted using a lockdown browser and video surveillance, and stringent invigilation is ensured to minimize academic malpractice. Students are given regular feedback on their performances, both qualitatively (in the form of comments) and quantitatively (in the form of grades, percentages or marks) Academic performance of students is tracked and monitored, based on the different assessments The level and kind of support provided to students is individualised to improve their learning

Engagement Outside of the Classroom

TISB provides a wide array of After school activities for our students during the COVID 19 pandemic and distance learning Student Prefects and a Peer Support Group support all students across the school in various subjects, activities and student well being, creating a bridge between students and senior leadership. In addition, we encourage, support and promote students to come up with their own initiatives, most of which focus on inclusion, giving back and making a difference in the lives of individuals and communities

Student Well being

At TISB, the pastoral care of all our students is of primary importance and we are committed to provide a safe and caring environment The Deputy Principal Pastoral oversees the safety and well being of students and is supported by Form Tutors ,Grade Coordinators and School Counsellors. Each student is assigned to a Form Tutor, who is the first point of contact for any pastoral concerns. The Form Tutor interacts with their students every morning and provides individual support and care, enabling students to achieve their full academic and personal potential. Our robust PSHME curriculum offers an effective framework for students to develop knowledge, life skills and moral values to navigate the wider world and lead a confident, healthy and independent life For the current academic year, we are covering topics related to keeping well being while offering support for students' learning and assessment tasks. This is to ensure that new students are integrated well while maintaining relationships There are sessions on Anti Bullying usually led by the Deputy Principal Pastoral, sessions on "Academic Honesty" by academic coordinators, "Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing" and other burning issues among teenagers as identified by our school counsellors. There will also be student led initiatives/sessions on Yoga and Teen Matters. Apart from that, we will have sessions on other varied topics like "Managing healthy/unhealthy relations" to "Good Sleeping Habits" by our form tutors. Our School Counsellors offer guidance and support to students to deal with academic, personal and societal pressures We have an online booking system for students to book appointments with School Counsellors Parents have the opportunity to be in regular contact with the school through Information Sessions and interactive Coffee Catch Ups
