10:00 – 12:00 WORKSHOPS 1A MATALAN SPORTING PROMISE KS2 a.m. only An approach to developing higher order thinking skills through the teaching of familiar games for understanding. This approach uses higher order questioning to develop creative, cognitive, social, physical and personal ability.

1C ATHLETICS KS2 Repeated a.m. and p.m. Elevating Athletics is a set of resources designed to place running, jumping and throwing at the heart of school physical education and to support teachers in delivering athletic activity in an inclusive, exciting and engaging manner

1D POCKET FIT BOTH KEY STAGES Repeated a.m. and p.m. Pocketfit Kidz is an exciting and innovative resource which will capture the imagination of all primary school age children. It provides a wonderful collection of exciting enjoyable ideas which will get children active. An invaluable tool in primary schools both within and outside the curriculum.

1B BOUNCEKIDS BOTH KEY STAGES Repeated a.m. and p.m. Bouncekids is an in-school system featuring ‘just for kids’ workouts, education packs, workshops and games, teaching children everything they need to know about healthy living. It is designed to fit within a school’s existing curriculum and is suitable for foundation and primary school.

The cards are accompanied by detailed and clear guidelines for teachers and others which will also enable those who consider themselves to be nonspecialist to use them effectively.

1:15 – 3:15 WORKSHOPS 2A CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY CHALLENGE BOTH KEY STAGES p.m. only The NW 2012 Children’s Challenge, is an exciting new initiative developed by NW NHS designed to get children more active.
