Your Impact on SigEp in 2020-2021

Page 1

Thanks to the generosity of our Annual Fund donors, SigEp made an unprecedented impact on thousands of undergraduate men throughout the 2020-21 school year.

CAREER COACHING Nearly 1,000 undergraduate brothers were matched with an alumnus in their desired career field for a career coaching session. Many have continued relationships with their mentors and gained valuable career connections, and 100% of participants rated the program as valuable. The mentorship I have gained through SigEp Career Coaching has given me a deeper understanding of what is needed to thrive in my future career. I have gained plenty of insights, advice, guidance, and even an internship through my career coaches with SigEp.

INCREASED ACCESS TO VIRTUAL PROGRAMS

VIRTUAL RUCK LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE 445 undergraduates—over three times more than a typical year—received mentorship from alumni facilitators over two sessions this summer and fall. The leadership development provided through this expanded program resulted in one of the bestprepared cohorts of SigEp leaders in our history. Virtual Ruck revitalized me and renewed my pride for SigEp. It can be hard because it seems like everything changed overnight within the world. But going through Ruck gave me the tools to keep trying my best and giving my brothers the support they need.

EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT Monthly virtual sessions led by experienced alumni experts equipped undergraduate leaders to succeed in their officer roles and enable a high-quality, developmental SigEp experience for their brothers, through the pandemic.

TRAGOS QUEST TO GREECE Seventeen scholars recently returned from the 2021 Tragos Quest—a study abroad experience that changes the way brothers view the world, their Fraternity and themselves. The program is named for Past Grand President William Tragos, WashingtonSt. Louis ’56, and his wife Lilli, and is supported by Annual Fund donors.

GRAND CHAPTER CONCLAVE More than 1,000 SigEps gathered in Denver for the 57th Grand Chapter Conclave over the summer. The 2021 Conclave held special meaning, as brothers from all over the country safely reunited in person.

2021–2022 PROGRAMS Here’s the lineup of impactful leadership experiences coming this academic year. • Executive officers: Carlson Leadership Academies; monthly virtual officer training; virtual national transition retreat • Emerging leaders: Springboard, a virtual series to launch them into SigEp leadership • Personal development: Ruck Leadership Institute; Tragos Quest to Greece • Professional development: Career Coaching; Life After College career preparedness event
