The Stern Pad

Do you know what the leading cause of transom damage is? Screw holes!

Sealant breaks down overtime and allows water to penetrate into the core through screw holes causing rot and delamination. Save your transom and maintain your boats value by using a Stern Pad instead of drilling holes.

The Stern Pad is a mounting block for transducers, LED lights, pumps, antennas, and other devices that can be attached to a boat. The mounting block uses a special type of 3M VHB tape to adhere to the hull without the use of screws. The adhesive has been rigorously tested and has passed a 10 year submersion test in saltwater!

Transducers actually produce very little drag when installed correctly. The front profile of a modern transducer is slim and only a portion of the transducer should be in the water when the boat is on plane-- it should "skim" the water. This minimizes turbulence allowing accurate readings when the boat is underway.

An internal combustion engine requires three key ingredients to operate: air, fuel and spark. A spark plug is a critical engine component that provides the spark that ignites the air-fuel mixture that drives an engine.

A spark plug operates by directing electrical current to flow through a centre electrode, forming a spark across an electrode (or air) gap, completing the circuit to a ground electrode. The centre electrode is surrounded by a ceramic insulator which is non-conductive preventing current leakage and ensuring electricity flows in the desired direction.
