Watch Only 2017 global action tour starts in Monaco
Monaco is preparing again to host annual yacht show, where Monaco opens the 7th biannual Only Watch promotional world tour, of the new 49 unique horological creations, from September 27-30, after which these one-off kind luxury timepieces-created by the finest watch brands-are to be auctioned in support for the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophies (AAM). Luc Pettavino, president of AMM, conceived the Only Watch Auction in 2005 to help find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a neuromuscular disease that affects mainly boys. The biannual Only Watch auctions have since rised more than 25-million euros for the AMM.
The 7th season of Only Watch holds 49 highly specialised timepieces-created and donated exclusively to the AMM by the finest watch manufacturers. After 10-leg worldtour starting in Monaco, the exclusive collection hits the auction block this fall in Geneva. This year's collection is estimated to raise $3.9-million. Highlight at auction will incluclude one of only a few ultra-complicated watches Ref. 5208T-010 Triple Complication from Patek Philippe with an automatic movement and the only version ever produced in titanium. Est. auction price $932,000- $1,139,000, includes a visit to the Patek Philippe in Geneva, and lunch with company president Thierry Stern.
