It

was always my dream to live in Las Vegas. I finally made it here as a Brit following my dreams, living my professional show dance career which took me all over the world from “French Can Can” Soloist in Paris, France to contracts in India, Portugal, London, the Cruise Ships and then ultimately Las Vegas! See I’ve always been an entrepreneur and somehow I always just knew in my heart that Vegas was the place most conducive to my way of thinking. I remember as soon as I moved here seeing how possible everything was here business wise, much different from the England I had just left behind. I remember thinking anyone can make it here, and that is still true for me today. I’m a serial entrepreneur. I love to create businesses and most importantly I’m enjoying the lifestyle that being self-employed affords me. Best of all, my businesses benefit everyone I come into contact with. Running my free weekly business networking events http://cosmopolitanconnections.com/e vents-2/ I strongly believe people should not have to pay to network. I have connected our guests with jobs, and also new business contacts and great new friends..

The best compliment I ever received was one of our regular guests telling me, “Yvette every time I attend your events I make new best friends.” There is the social aspect of course; I even met my husband and Real Estate Partner Eric Auger at my event over 5 years ago. At the time I remember thinking how hard the dating scene is in Las Vegas, and bam there was my knight in shining armor standing at the bar. This fits in well with our objective over the past 7+ years that I have been running Cosmopolitan Connections, which is to network like-minded Business Professionals in unique environments with the emphasis on Fun! We throw our social networking events at Las Vegas’ Newest Nightclubs, Lounges, and Restaurants, offering value to everyone involved. Our events are designed to bring like-minded professionals together creating contacts and synergies, enjoying the best venues Las Vegas has to offer. Our events have food and drink Specials to exude an atmosphere of relaxation and fun whilst networking and making friends. Cosmopolitan Connection events are geared toward business professionals, both local and those visiting.

The events are held in the newest and most chic venues that only Las Vegas can offer. Enjoyable settings and a format that promotes business and social synergies, culminate in valued contacts and a most enjoyable time for all. You’ll notice when you attend I like to give a free hug for all, free photos by our professional photographer Roger Bennett (who has been with us since the very beginning,) and also tons of top prizes for taking the time to attend. Everyone over 21+ years old is invited and we’d love to see you. My Husband Eric Auger being the Honorary Consul of France for Las Vegas and also Real Estate entrepreneur with 15+ years of experience really inspired me to also go into Real Estate myself.

Our latest and greatest achievement as a couple was the birth of our baby daughter Eugenie Ida Daniele Auger, in October 2015. We are overjoyed and she makes us feel fulfilled, joyful and happy, each and every day! We are never too busy to help the people you care about and who want to move. Please call us immediately as you talk to friends or neighbors who need to buy or sell a home: 702 813 2661. We look forward to seeing you at our free weekly Cosmopolitan Connections Networking Events too: http://cosmopolitanconnections.com/even ts-2/ Cheers Yvette Auger

NETWORKING SUCCESS

MY STORY BY TRACEY OSBORNE

DOES NETWORKING WORK?

I took that networking experience and transferred it online. Back in 2008 my business soared because of the relationships I formed on Twitter. I was even named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Social Media. Over the years my business has grown and I now play on Facebook more than any other platform but one thing has remained constant…my networking skills still play heavy in garnering business. The key is to make it about everyone else. Listen, learn and refer. You become a valuable ally and they will want to reciprocate.

In 2006 – 2007, I was HEAVY into networking. In fact, I was crowned Queen of Networking in Atlanta. I was very well known. In November 2007, I decided it was time to prepare to leave the corporate world and venture out on my own. So, I created my Virtual Assistant company and told a few key players who were also very heavy into networking. Within 2 months, I had replaced my income and was able to give notice at my job. I’ve full time working for myself ever since.

Bio: Tracey Osborne is known as The Entrepreneur's Secret Weapon. LIVING WITH F.E.A.R. WORDS BY CABRINI SCHNYDER

On my way here, I had to make a couple of stops along the way. For 32 years, I have been a business owner and concept creator. I have opened and closed many businesses along the way. When I turned 50, I knew definitively what I wanted to do and what I didn't want to do. I wanted to be the "Business"; by using my voice to inspire others. I knew I had so much to offer, but didn't know how nor the path to take to get it out to the WORLD. I went on a journey to self–discovery which evoked moments of fear, self –doubt and the what if’s. I quickly had to take control of my thoughts and empower myself with new ones in order to keep going. I now know fear to be Fun- Exciting – Adventurous - Rewarding.

After closing the retail store in 2008, we opened a doggie daycare in DTLA as well. It was then my friend and I reconnected. Perfect time to share stories because we both had gotten hit pretty hard by the economic down turn in 2008 which forced me to close the retail store and the real estate market was souring to say the least.

When he made the decision to get the office space, he got his biggest client to the tune of 12k per month! Of course, I went to the leasing office and I leased a 350 square foot office space and decided I would have clients meet me at my office too. how will I define myself to attract the right clients?

I was starting to feel stuck and with that came anxiety and fear of not knowing what was next and how would I get there if I didn’t know who I was, what I wanted and why? I knew if I put my mind to it, I could figure out my path like I’ve always done. My truest desire was to be an inspirational speaker and when I allowed my truth to come through me it incrementally started to unfold. It didn’t come all at once.

Rewarding My never ending Journey to "ME" began again in my little 350 square foot office space that I call my "incubator". My path had crossed a second time with my friend Mark and the why will reveal itself. The reinvention of myself took a plethora of twist and turns, peaks and valleys, and interruptions. I couldn't figure out what to post on my office door. Nothing I posted felt comfortable in defining who I was. Business consultant...nope...Life Coach...maybe...Concept Creator...occasionally...My biggest question was...Who the F.U.C.K. am I at my CORE?

Push Ups – The Ultimate Exercise for Improved Posture & Confidence Posture & Confidence One of the basic workout forms that an individual practices in the gym is push up. Although they are considered to be one of the easiest and simplest forms of the exercise but since they activate every muscle in an individual’s body they are also the most effective. Read on to know two of the various benefits our body can derive from making pushups a regular part of your exercise regime. Improved Posture Weak core muscles make for one of the major reasons for a bad posture. Not only it can be painful for you but the situation can worsen when you grow older. Improper posture can have severe adverse effects on your health and comfort. Many of us work round the clock most of the time and hardly get any time for the gym or any form of exercise. Sitting all day on the comfortable office chairs or couches in your living rooms can lead to several disorders, a bad posture being one of the most noted one. The core muscles, by proper execution of pushups, become fine-tuned and strengthened to support our body in the best manner and the outcome is improved posture. Confidence Making a healthy form of exercise such as pushups a part of your routine will build your muscles and give your body a well-toned look. Not only a well-toned body will help you in leading a healthy life but also in making you feel good about your body and exude confidence. Regular exercises such as push-ups help in making the heart stronger and reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Furthermore, it also helps in enhanced blood circulation, keeping a check on your weight by getting rid of unwanted fats, and giving your body a toned look. Adding push up to your routine of life will help build your posture, confidence and general positive outlook on life. If you are looking for ways to lose body weight and have a well-toned body, pushups are an excellent solution for you. Overcoming Your Fear of Networking

3 Tips for The Quiet Girls

By Lori Saitz

Would you rather endure the pain of kidney stones over walking into a room full of people you don’t know? Have you ever signed up for a networking event weeks in advance, thinking “I’m definitely going this time,” only to find yourself making all kinds of excuses hours before it starts? Once you get yourself into the car, are you secretly wishing for a major traffic jam to keep you from getting there? Sounds like you might be a “Quiet Girl” (or guy). The good news is you don't have to feel like this before or at networking events. You can make them work FOR you, in a way that feels comfortable for YOU. In fact, you actually have the skills and characteristics to be a fantastic networker. Here are three tips to make your networking experiences easier. 1. Flip the Script Instead of thinking of networking events as a place where people are discussing the weather and shoving business cards in your hand asking if you need a new coffee machine for your office, redefine it. Take the approach you’re there to make a new friend. Realistically, you’re not going to walk out of an event having signed up any new clients. You’re simply there to start conversations that you’ll continue over time. You’re making connections. You’re building the foundation for ongoing relationships. 2. Ask Questions &; Listen People like people who listen to them. As a quiet girl, listening is one of your strengths. Can you find two or three people to listen to? Change your perspective. Pretend you’re a reporter. Shift your focus from yourself to the other person. Ask questions that get people to talk about what they love most. Keep in mind, your questions don’t have to be about business. You could lead with a “how did you get started in your business?” question. But then you could go into “what do you love doing in your free time?” Or “what kind of volunteer work do you do?” 3. It’s Ok To Be Who You Are Many quiet girls think they have to become more outgoing and gregarious to be good at networking. Not true! You’re probably a really good listener. Put that skill to work when you’re asking questions like the ones in Tip 2. Most people are usually too busy thinking of what they’re going to say next when the other person (finally) shuts up. If you’re someone who can listen, people will appreciate and like you more.

If you hear them reveal a problem – perhaps they mention needing a resource or an introduction, for example – and you can offer a solution, you have created a reason for them to remember you. Oh, and don’t stress yourself out about having to come up with a solution on the spot. Write yourself a note on the back of their business card. Later in the week, if you come up with a recommendation, you can call or email. Once you have done a favor for them, they will be more likely to do a favor for you. This is theLaw of Reciprocity at work. With these tips, take your quiet girl strengths to your next networking function. Instead of slinking out of the room demoralized, leave feeling good about making a new friend or being able to help someone.
