This is why you should take action now to plan your estate. • First, estate planning provides a road map to accomplish unfinished business. How To Brand Yourself As A Thought Leader When you are perceived and received as a thought leader, you will find it easier to attract better, more qualified clients. Moreover, you will generate more referrals and invitations as a speaker at prestigious events and conferences. There's a strong correlation between being a good content creator (making clear, nuanced, defensible content) and being regarded a genuine thought leader. Ask for the booking, the cash, the opportunity to serve now, close the deal!

This is how. Let’s get into Selling vs. serving….. What does that mean? Selling is: A. Self-driven (it’s about you) B. We talk “at them,” not to them. We are not finding out their needs, we just want the sale were not trying to solve anything for them. C. “It attempts control” You’re telling them what “They Need” instead of asking what “their needs are” D. We are the decision maker, we aren’t letting them Decide for themselves what they are looking for. E. We experience rejection, were too money driven, It closes off the deal. It closes the person off. You are having to ask and beg for the sale, the booking, the opportunity to showcase your business. Serving is: A. We are Customer Driven. We are finding out “What” they need in a product or “HOW” We can help them. B. We talk “with them” not at them. What do you need? What Can I do for you regarding your personal needs in (your product) or for gifts that you may need? How can I help? C. We don’t experience rejection! That’s huge! Why? Because by finding out their needs and wants we are “Opening up our relationship with them” We are connecting with them and they feel like we care. When they feel like you care, they want to do business with you again and again. When we know what they want, then they are in. We just need to get the payment. D. This is abundance Driven. Your abundant in helping them, caring about what they need and helping them solve a problem such as a gift they may need, (they avoiding running around town,


they avoid spending too much money, you guide them through the pricing process, they can get the items for free if they can’t afford them so they can give the gifts away for free. If someone says NO, don’t be upset, you can always say, “No problem, but Mary I don’t think I really heard what your needs are at this time, what can I do for you now at this time or Please don’t hesitate to contact me to help you in the future! The formula to make Serving vs. Selling work is: ASK, TELL, ASK! What do I mean by this? You’re going to “ASK” what they want. You’re then going “to tell” by resaying what ‘you’ heard them say and offer some suggestions, then you’re going to ask again. It goes something like this: Hi Mary, I’m Heather Pich with Tocara Company, I’m the jewelry girl, I love or say (I am an expert at) helping women put together great looks for themselves or for a ‘gift or two you might need? “How” can I help you? (Did you notice how I asked a “What and a HOW” question only! You want to only use “WHAT and HOW” Why? Because when you ask a “Why” question you end up getting a long drawn out story. You don’t want that, you want to cut to the chase) (Then you wait and let your potential customer answer, listen) Then you’re going to “TELL” when you talk again. “So Mary I’m hearing you say that you are maybe looking for a great pair of earrings that you can wear everyday correct? Le Do you like to wear earrings that are smaller and either sit on the earlobe or just hang below? Or do you like something bolder that dangle and show up better with your outfit?” (Wait to hear her response) Now “Tell” “So Mary you’re looking for something long and dangly, it sounds like you want something that is more for every day wear, do you want something that is more subtle or more bling? Has more color or is all silver? (Wait for her response) then “Tell” again.

“Ok great, you’re looking for something for every day wear and I have various price ranges which can be from $29.00 up to $89, what price area do you think you’d like to be in?” (Wait for her response) then respond “Great, let me show you a few things” You proceeds to show her a few items, let her try them on, get the feel for them and then……. “Ask” “Which earrings from these choices do you think you’d like best? Get response and then proceed to close the deal by asking : “ok Great, can I write those up on an order form for you and would you like to browse some more or should I close you out?” You can pay with MC Or visa or write me a check. How would you like to do it? What works best for you?” (Don’t be shocked… You just asked for the money and the sale all while you were helping her out and making her feel comfortable) So you “ASK, TELL, ASK and in the end you ASK for the money. But you found out her need first. If you don’t ask for the money, you’re not going to get the sale. You must learn to ask! You can use this same model when you’re sponsoring someone. Just change the wording. Happy Holiday selling! With this method, you will close more sales at each show while giving each guest the best customer service and remember People don’t remember what you say… They remember how you make them Feel! ��

Overcoming the Personal Costs of Running Your Business by Steven Herbert, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Since coming to Vegas, I’ve come across many stories from therapy clients, close friends, and networking interviews of the many unique challenges faced by business owners. Unfortunately depression is often the result of these challenges. Some estimates suggest one third of business owners suffer depression at some point in their career. “What???” you ask. “The business owners I know are happy and confident all the time!!” Promoting a business requires a certain amount of confidence, cheer, and portraying success. What if beneath that tough outer layer is loneliness and burnout combined with poor coping and supports? And how did those nasty things get there?

Let’s get into some of those unique challenges I alluded to earlier. For business owners, many personal relationships are blended with business ones. There’s a certain level of emotional trust that might be missing. While other family relationships might get neglected due to the demands of the business. In other words, it can get lonely at the top! And while many relish the opportunities for eating out and drinking (even traveling!!) when fostering business relationships, too often this comes at a cost. Did I mention this is Vegas? There are many opportunities to deal with the wrong crowd, develop a bad coping habit to numb any negative emotions, and generate an interesting new medical condition for your doctor to ponder … from poor diet, secondhand smoke, poor sleep, excessive alcohol or other agent. On top of this, owners value their independence are used to being in charge — asking for help just doesn’t come naturally!


Personal Cost Continued When issues do arise, they tend to not get the attention they deserve. Think of normal issues like grief, a complaining spouse, health, or a teenager son or daughter with academic struggles. How does an owner find sufficient time and energy for these? Many things can be therapeutic, but positive change is difficult — or difficult to maintain (or it would’ve been done already). While therapy may not be the final answer, it’s a great first step to getting unstuck. Therapy … Provides a steady & safe relationship, a confidant.

Changing your unhealthy habits is never easy, at least not as easy as procrastinating or putting off doing what is best for your body. If you truly want to see the results you wish for, the best way to do that is to set realistic goals. Having goals will put you on the fast track to success with your healthy lifestyle plan. Talk to your doctor or medical professional before you set goals. These individuals will be able to help you set healthy goals that you'll be able to reach with a little hard work. They'll also be able to point out goals that could result in dangerous eating or exercising habits. Poor eating can easily turn into an eating disorder, and when combined with unhealthy amounts of exercise, it can cause your body to weaken and make you prone to injury. When setting healthy life goals, try to come up with a plan that will allow you to reach your goals, but not without effort. As you reach your small goals you will need to evaluate and adjust them so that you can achieve the most improvement for your efforts. The
