AJ KAHN, ENTRE-LEADER AJ Kahn is a business owner and master connector in Las Vegas. His wife and 2 boys bring balance to his life. If you have the opportunity to mingle with AJ, do not miss it. Upon your first meeting you will know the secret of his success he cares. AJ has a background in marketing and advertising. He has a unique talent to share with the Vegas business community. His gift is understanding the psychology of color. Color affects our everyday decision making and in business it helps with marketing and attracting your target market. Combine this with his passion for putting his "TEAM" members first, it means we all win. He offers his vast knowledge and compassion in his role as Director of Team Referral Network.Las Vegas. Stacey Obyrne, franchise owner and author of Secrets to Becoming a Master Networker chose AJ to develop and expand networking under the tried and true networking methods AJ says he adopted many of her theories and techniques after reading Stacy's book because it resonated with him. He believes that you must go out networking with the understanding that it is not about you

Networking is about creating connections, building bridges and creating value by solving problems. AJ believes "Networking is about the other person," It is his mission to connect with others and help them master the techniques for success. When someone asks "What do you do?" AJ says that means "What can you do for me? Be prepared with the solution you solve with your business or service. This is not a sales pitch it's time to paint a picture. Beyond business card exchange, AJ believes three crucial strategies are the key to networking success: follow though, small group activities to remain engaged outside of the meetings and the ability to think outside the box. AJ declares "I am an EntreLeader!" What's an EntreLeader? Someone who helps small business owners, entrepreneurs and start-ups increase their sales and bottom line profits by teaching them solid networking, sales leadership and business strategies that are immediately implementable. Thereby, creating their destiny with purpose and making their dreams a reality. WHAT'S YOUR NETWORKING STYLE? The Ant – Unlike the Hummingbird who's built for speed and the Bumblebee who spends a little more time vibrating with each potential flower to coax it to open, the Ant’s networking style is built around timing. Gardeners know very well that ants cover peony plants just shortly before the flowers actually open. Sometimes the number of ants crawling over the plants themselves is truly amazing! I used to wonder why that happened, thinking the peony must be incapable of opening without the help of the ants. The fact is that peony buds secrete carbohydrates in a liquid substance that attracts the ants. It’s not that the peony can’t open without the ants; it’s just a symbiotic relationship where both benefit from the ant’s hunger and the peony’s sweetness. The Ant networker spends a significant amount of time looking for large sources of opportunities, and rushes to the opportunity right before the need becomes fully apparent.

Part Three By Ronnie Roll

This is Part Three of a series to help you recognize your natural networking style and perhaps explore a few others..

The Ants swarm in to promote their products and take their fill of the opportunity being offered up at that time. Then it’s off to locating the next potential large opportunity. The upside to this style of networking is that less energy is spent running from business to business, attempting to find opportunities. The opportunities found usually have larger payouts, which means the Ant networker meets sales goals in larger chunks. The downside to this style, though, is that one becomes dependent upon the weather of business ebbs and flows for large growth opportunities to exist. Thus far we’ve looked at Hummingbirds, Bumblebees and Ants in the garden, and how each of these networkers operates. Still not seeing yourself? Maybe you’re the Flower… .

Digital business cards

There's an App for that... Check Out... HAYSTACK Haystack was started in 2014 by a team of three brothers and a friend who believed that the time for business cards to be disrupted is finally here. They wanted to create a seamless experience that is better than paper. That meant removing all existing barriers of card sharing, storing and usage, and making the process as simple as possible. After a year of development, the backing of investors who understand the big task at hand, and joined by a team of the most talented individuals. they had ever met, they have created a platform that does just that. They are Haystack and they are here to make digital cards smarter than ever, helping your business to stand out from the crowd and improve your sales effectiveness.

THE FAMILY BUSINESS: HOW TO AVOID A SHATTERED WINDSHIELD

19

by Nancy Gabriel When I started doing research about conflicts in family business, my inbox overflowed with horror stories. The topics ranged from working for the ex-in-laws to wicked stepmothers taking over the company to whether to call your grandfather by his first name at the office (awkward). It seems that we all know someone who has been or is currently involved in a family business. You’ve heard of the Los Angeles Lakers, right? What you may not know is that the owner of the team, Jerry Buss, passed away several years ago. His estate plan was put in place more than five years before his death, and his adult children were all aware of their dad’s intentions. In spite of the careful planning, a major feud recently erupted between three of his six children over control and management of the team. Needless to say, this is a complicated situation. Can you imagine what their family Thanksgiving dinner is going to look like? In a situation where an estate plan has been conscientiously made and presumably discussed with the family members affected, one would think that litigation will never happen and the family will live happily ever after. Not necessarily. Even the most iron clad estate plan may not ultimately turn out to be iron clad. People evolve, greed emerges, outside voices interfere and, years later bad feelings erupt. Who wins? The attorneys. Period. The Laker organization is at one end of the spectrum. What if your family business isn’t quite that expansive? What if there’s only you and your two siblings

taking over the restaurant after your father and mother retire? Who is responsible for making decisions if your parents didn’t implement a plan? Whose personal expenses can be run through the business and whose cannot? Which sibling ends up storming out, never to speak to the others again? When the antidote takes place at the beginning of the conflict, it has the greatest chance for success. I like to use the example of a rock hitting your windshield. At first, there’s only an annoying hole, usually right in the middle of your line of sight. If left alone, the glass surrounding the hole is likely to start cracking until ultimately, the entire windshield shatters. So it’s ideal that the family in conflict over the business start addressing issues when the rock first hits the windshield. It might take a single meeting with a Mediator, but in my mind the absolute best scenario is to also have a business succession expert present at the meeting. In sort of a tag-team manner, each of the professionals is able to deal with his/her area of expertise so that the actual succession plan of the business is discussed along with the the underlying issues leading up to the dysfunction. Two experts are often better than one — not only to help with the future profitability of your family business, but to help with the future compatibility of your Thanksgiving dinner. The Chronology of Resistance

by Devora Grey

I hate networking socials. Yep, I said it. I hate it. The systematic portrayal of building lasting, conscious, and for lack of a better word, altruistic relationships is something I feel should be organic. I love the idea of being in the right place at the right time and the instant soul facelift that comes with thinking something bigger, better, and stronger than little ole me is influencing the turn of events. I "accidentally" run into the perfect people. The powers that be are going to magically send me the connections I need to further my goals. It's happened to me before, so shall it be. I don't need events for this, right? I don't need to actively pursue like-minded people as if I'm Diana itching to put a notch in my quiver. I'd have to get ready, make sure my kid, man, and dog are stable, and man, are those first few moments painful. I don't like pain. Rome wasn't built in a day, there's laundry to do, lamb burgers to make from scratch, and my book pile isn't going to read itself. But when I look back at the sequence of events that lead me to finding my first book editor, the love of my life, and the extra-wide chaise lounge in which I am currently sprawled, I wasn't sitting around twiddling my thumbs or waiting for the doorbell to ring with glad tidings and a check in hand just because the Universe thinks I am #awesome. Quite the opposite. What I am going through when I say "I hate..." is what Stephen Pressfield calls Resistance in his tough-love The War of Art. I have it on audiobook. Whenever I am feeling the icky taint of "I don't wanna!" I let him remind me this is resistance, and resistance is our ego's best tool in convincing us we are not worthy of the beautiful creations begging for attention with every beat of our hearts. It is the uncertainty, fear, doubt, and logical convictions that if I take I one step in putting my efforts into a task that is bigger than ME something terrible might happen, and I will be crushed under the realization that I'm not as #fabulous as I am in my head. How does the twangs of my resistance start? Let's use a fitness class as an example. It's Tuesday. My knees are stiff from a particularly tough pole dancing class the day before. I know to relieve this pain and prevent against future ills, I I should go to a hot yoga class on Thursday. After

Then I think, "Oh yeah, that was really hard. It hurt. I'm already tired. What if I'm not strong enough to do that again? I have so much other stuff I need to do."

small thing, the larger things won't have the opportunity to cripple me later down the road. What does this have to do with networking, you may wonder?

Thus the mental-physical-spiritual wrestle begins.

Everything. I say I hate those socials, but I met every amazing person in my life trying something I was scared to do. I say I don't like pain, but I selectively choose the right amount to heal myself. I say I will beat resistance, but as Pressfield so lovingly enumerates, it'll be back tomorrow.

The mind says, "We can try something easier. There's a stretching video on YouTube. It'll only take 12 minutes, and we won't have to leave the house." The spirit says, "But this is exciting! You know what that means. Yeah, it's going to hurt, but you feel so clean and empty and calm. The teachers always say the coolest things. Let's go dump everything on the mat!" And the body says, "I don't care what we do, but will you please make a decision. You know I'm down for whatever." Hold on. Let me facilitate. I'm not ready to make a decision. I haven't checked my Instagram this morning. Two hours, fourteen minutes, one latte and half a bag of rice chips later... I make an appointment. Once I've thrown the money into the equation, well, now, we're not playing poker with pennies anymore. Call it a force of will, a good habit, the fear of walking like a candy cane when I'm 65, I know that if I beat resistance in thisÂ

It is not putting myself out there, meeting new and fascinating people, building a sustainable community that does help itself for itself, or sipping a cocktail while listening to an  expert spin her craft that I hate. I hate the excuses I create to keep me from living a well-rounded, vibrant, and satisfying life. I hate that I have to get to the point of hating something in order to see how much the mere idea of it is controlling my thoughts and actions. That is the core of my resistance, and it must not be granted an extended vacation in my mind, body, or heart. On the long timeline of self-discovery, while resistance may make it's appearance at pivotal moments, it is with great love that I use the hate as my trigger to embrace the unknown and be #gratefulforthehateful.

Let’s Get Started! by Dr. Danielle Mincey White

Imagine:

A world where people acknowledge, own and consciously dissolve/release negative, unresolved emotions. A world where people are aware of the impact of their unresolved emotions and consciously allow those emotions to pass through them. A world where people think, via a process called “Transmutation”. In Transmutation, negative energy is recycled and, instead of draining others, others are ENHANCED. What would be the Impact on: Families Employees Schools Instead of treating others as “landfills” for unresolved emotions; individuals committed to leaving a better energetic environment for future generations will undergo Emotional Physical Therapy™. 120 Days/Three (3) Phases of Consistent Practice. Phase I - Days 0-40 Breaking Habits: Detoxification of the Mind Phase II - Days 41-90 Acquiring New Habits: Rehabilitation of the Mind Phase III - Days 91-120 Implanting New Habits: Recovery of the Mind THE EMPHASIS ON 40 DAYS Studies show that over 90% of what we do everyday are habits, and most of those habits deplete us. Mankind has used the

40-Day cycle to break self-defeating patterns and establish themselves in more positive patterns as means of emotional and spiritual healing. www.vitalitycenter.com/tab-40days.html Upon completion of the three initial phases of Emotional Physical Therapy™ participants will notice that where once there was hopelessness and defeat, there is hope and victory. Of course, life will continue to happen. However your responses to life will gradually change. You will respond by exercising your personal power to (1) Decide- to feel your emotions (2) Allow the repressed emotions to transmute. By feeling the old emotions; you are releasing them to the Universe/GOD; where what was once negative becomes positive.
