Run for the Rescue The 2nd Hardmoors Princess Challenge 30 and NEW FOR 2014 The Princess Short n Sweet! Saturday August 30th 2014 9am The Routes The Hardmoors Princess 30(ish) Circular, including Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, Cloughton. This is the same as the Hardmoors 30 New Years’ Day 30 and is available at www.hardmoors110.org.uk The route is a circular following the Cleveland way South between Ravenscar and Hayburn Wyke, then heading North along the Old Railway lines through Ravenscar, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby before following the Cleveland Way Southwards through Robin Hoods Bay to the finish at Ravenscar. The Short n Sweet Challenge 8.5miles (ish!) This route goes out along the Cinder Track from Ravenscar to the scenic Robin Hoods Bay then returns to Ravenscar on the Cleveland Way! A challenge with less of the ultra distance to it! The full route will be confirmed on the Hardmoors Website. These events are being run in support of the Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (Charity No. 256085). All profit from this event will be donated to support the work that team carry on the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast and Cleveland Way. In 2013 we raised an amazing total of £1,300 for the team! A great target to beat in 2014! You need to give yourself time to check your kit and collect your clip card/Race Number. Registration for the S’n’S will be from 8:45 Time Limit The race starts at 9am and ideally everyone should have completed the distance by 7pm. If you are a ‘walker’ who wants to take part please contact the events team-we are happy to discuss your entry. The S’n’S Challenge will start 1hour after the Ultra, therefore you will have a good chunk of time to finish it in. You will need to be at race finish for 7pm. Awards: A race momento will be issued on completion of the Hardmoors Princess Challenge 30 and the Short n Sweet Challenge.
