Thank you again for a great rehearsal. It was fun to get back to rehearsal after such a thrilling show last weekend and see that we were able to hit the ground running. We made a lot of progress Monday, and I'll summarize that below. We discussed a number of emotional moments in Bare Necessities. We reinforced rhythm and tuning in Hello Mary Lou. We learned a new tag in less than 15 mins. A ton of great progress! A couple of quick notes for next time. First, BRING YOUR MUSIC!!! If we want to be a chorus that gets better every week, we have to stop making the same mistakes over and over, and taking notes is the first step. The second step, of course, is going home and fixing them! The only reason we could do the work we did on Bare Necessities is because we were prepared to do so. That's the goal for all of our songs going forward!

they did last weekend. They will, of course, be polite and happy to see us, but not to the degree that the Kennebunk crowd was. And if you don't believe me on that, think back to ANY contest you've been to and think about the difference in applause between the "good" groups and the "great" groups...

Jingle Bell Rock O Holy Night I will email out once the competition chorus songs are uploaded and available. Enjoy the holiday weekend, see you on the 12th!
