Awards and Installation of Officers Banquet I need input from you all!

The Awards and installation Banquet is soon upon us. With that said I need a head count to plan the event. Would you all please reply if you intend to go, and if you plan to bring a guest?

Some points to consider:

· We are looking to schedule and evening within the first 3 Friday or Saturday nights of November (5,6) (12,13) (19,20) I expect the finalized date will be largely dependent on the venue schedule.

· TIME- there is not a lot of time remaining to make this happen. A speedy head count is imperative!

· The Board has voted not to cover the cost of the Banquet for the members.

· COVID protocol (Vaccination?, Proof?, Masks?) has yet to be finalized pending input from the yet to be secured venue (Proposed-Racheal’s on the green).

· Type of meal has yet to be decided (Buffet, ala carte) Cost has historically been in the $20 range It is presumed that this cost will increase.

· Cash bar

· Brunswick chapter has been historically invited, and I will need input from senior management for this invite, Yay or Nay.

Thank you all!

************************************************************ From The Vocal Majority emails:

Videos of the Month Vocal Majority - This 9/11, we sing Remembering 9/11 In times of emotional heartache, we sing. When our souls are drained, we seek music and singing as a refuge. Twenty years ago, as the world watched in horror and as we felt helpless, the Vocal Majority sang for an audience at the Bass Hall in Fort Worth just days after 9/11. The people in the audience cried, sang with us, and held hands as we sang “God Bless America.” In 2002, the Vocal Majority released our patriotic recording, “Freedom’s Song,” and today we share links below to those songs—some of video in live performance—for you to remember and reflect on that day 20 years ago. • The Star Spangled Banner (recorded during our appearance for DayStar TV) • Pledge of Allegiance/God Bless the USA • My Country ‘Tis of Thee • Armed Forces Medley (recorded at the 2009 American Choral Directors Association, now with over 1.1 million views)) • An American Hymn • So Many Voices Sing America’s Song (featuring Acoustix and The American Pops Orchestra) • George M Cohan Medley (The Yankee Doodle Boy, You’re a Grand Old Flag, Give My Regards to Broadway) • A Tribute to World Peace (performed at the National Association of Music Educators, NAfME, conference) • America the Beautiful / Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor • God Bless America • Battle Hymn of the Republic (performed with the White’s Chapel Choir, Cantare Youth Choir, and White’s Chapel Orchestra) • After our release of “Freedom’s Song,” Jim Clancy, our Executive Musical Director, arranged An American Medley (America the Beautiful / God Bless America) (recorded during our appearance for DayStar TV) The Vocal Majority is honored to sing and perform in times, and for occasions, like these. We are grateful for your support. ************************************************************ From LiveWire:
