A Few End-of-Year Notes

~

~

First of all, thanks to everyone for some incredible holiday concerts! Every one of our audiences had nothing but amazing things, and we even had a chance to connect with our Sisters in Harmony at Royal River! Overwhelming successes had all around for the chorus and our quartets. As for the rest of these, they all pertain to the future / next year. Of note here: NO REHEARSALS FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR. We will meet next on Monday, January 2, 2023. Another note: competition chorus. I will follow up with details shortly, but for now... there is a new recording on the website for each song containing an actual performance of each song. These are to be used as the emotional plan models for the songs - when you audition, the way it's sung in these versions is what will be expected, not what you hear on the learning tracks. To be clear, the learning tracks are note and word correct, but the interp is a bit off from what I want to do with them, so please learn notes and words from the tracks, and the interp from these new recordings. And finally: the website. In the near future, we are looking at migrating to a newer and more user-friendly members-only website. That said, nothing changes until you hear from George Feinberg with more details.

And last, but not least, from myself, Sarah, and Nate, to all of you... Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, and I'll see you all next year! -Chris
