SUMMER 2014

The Delta Alpha Chapter

The Delta Alpha Chapter held their annual summer retreat at the Eiken household in Oconomoc, Wisconsin. The chapter was able to gain valuable insight on recruitment techniques and spend some time with each other over the summer. The event was planned by Amanda Grischow, the Membership Vice President, who has prepared these women for new style of recruitment this year. The Panhellenic recruitment will be a big change for the chapter, but it is the chapter’s hope that it is able to produce a big and positive turnout.

Summer Fun The Alpha Xi’s have had a fun filled summer. Between working summer jobs and traveling the country, our sisters have not been shy of adventure this summer. Before summer retreat began, some of our sisters traveled to Miller Park to watch some baseball and hang out. They were so excited to cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers and have a little fun.

The Workout - Indiana "I had an amaXIng experience at The Workout at Indiana University. I learned so much about recruitment! What really impacted me was when the National Ritual Chair lead a discussion about our ceremonies and ritual. It was so moving to be able to share the rededication ceremony with my sisters from across the country. This trip made me realize my potential in so many more ways than I thought possible. I realized that my fraternity is much bigger than myself, or my chapter. With all the Alpha Xi's present that weekend I could really understand and believe that my fraternity can truly make a difference." -Abigail Gnewikow

Letter from the President

“As school is starting, I’m so excited to get back in the swing of things with all my sisters. We are trying a new recruitment system, going to the Dells, participating in Greek Week, and hoping to add a fall philanthropy event. All these things will build a stronger chapter and help us strengthen our bonds in the community and on campus. I can't wait to see how much we will accomplish this semester and all the new ideas that each sister has brought forward. Our sisterhood is growing each day with new connections and new faces. I look forward to this year with all the exciting things in the works and for a school year full of love and laughter. I can't wait to see where the future of Alpha Xi Delta is headed.” – Angie Fersch
