Recruitment The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta had a successful fall recruitment, engaging collegiate women in conversation about sorority life at UW-La Crosse. Each recruitment night was themed around each of our four pillars: Sisterhood, Leadership, Knowledge, and Service. We are so excited to have so many women interested in joining Greek Life and want to give a warm welcome to our fall new member class!

We would like to give a special shout-out to our fabulous sisters who guided all of our new members through rounds during fall recruitment. These sisters temporarily disaffiliated from our chapter in order to show an unbiased opinion while presenting all the opportunities sorority life has to offer to new Greek women!
Bid Day The Delta Alpha chapter welcomed 13 new members this fall. Sisters gathered at the clocktower to welcome new Panhellenic sisters along with Alpha Phi. We then made our way to Myrick Park for a Bid Day Celebration of “Drafting Xi Best� sisters!

Walk Now for Autism Speaks
Each year, the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta drive up to the Twin Cities in Minnesota to volunteer at Walk Now for Autism Speaks. Previously held at the Mall of America, this year the event was hosted at Target Field. Sisters helped walkers register for the event, painted faces, and much more! Some sisters even got the opportunity to dress up as Alpha Xi Delta’s mascot BetXi Bear!

Sisterhood on the Bluffs Our first sisterhood of the semester was up on Grandad’s Bluff, taking fall photos in our boots and plaid!
National Convention This past summer five chapter sisters packed their bags and flew out to Boston, MA for Alpha Xi Delta’s 51st National Convention. Sisters Morgan Peanasky, Megan Salvin, Erin Wysocki, Jenna Horton and Melissa Starker embraced the colonial city and the knowledge that all our sisters from around the country passed down to help our chapter continue to grow and succeed!

Social with Sig Tau Sisters took to the field in a friendly game of kickball with the brothers of Sigma Tau Gamma for our first social of the year. Post-game, everyone gathered ‘round the grill for hotdogs and other gameday snacks!
National Hazing Prevention Week
September 21st-25th, 2015 was National Hazing Prevention Week and the sisters here at Delta Alpha took to social media to forward a sisterhood of love and care through the hashtag #NHPWLAX15. Our hands are not for hazing and Alpha Xi Delta will continue to spread that message for years to come!
