The Delta Alpha Chapter Walk Now
At the beginning of October, our chapter headed to the Mall of America to participate in the annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks. This is a fundraiser that is put on by the Alpha Xi Delta Minneapolis St. Paul Alumnae Association. It is an honor that we get to take part in such an inspiring and fun-filled event. Sisters were placed all over the Mall of America to help facilitate the different stations around the Walk. Playing with the parachute, building Lego towers and taking silly photos in the photo booth are just a few of the fun things we were able to help out with. This year our chapter alone was able to raise a little over $1000. We have been putting out our best efforts to spread the word about donating to Autism Speaks and we can’t wait until our very own Walk/Run in the spring!

Tackling Sexual Assault The women of Panhellenic came together to make a Flag Football team for the event “Tackling Sexual Assault.” This event helped raise funds for New Horizons Shelter. The event also supported the national ‘It’s On Us Campaign’ (www.itsonus.org), which fights sexual assault on college campuses.
Greek Week Banner Making, Campus Clean-Up, Social Media Challenge, Appreciation Day and Greek Lip Sync made for a fun filled Greek Week. Our chapter had a fantastic time participating in Greek Week and being able to develop closer relationships with the Greek Community. Our chapter was so honored to be the champions of this year’s Greek Week and we hope that this continues in the future.
Red Dress Brunch Our Panhellenic sisters, Alpha Phi, had their 3rd annual Red Dress Brunch during Family Weekend and it was a huge success. There was a silent auction, live music and fabulous food. The brunch was held at Stoney Creek Inn and the women of Alpha Xi Delta had a fabulous time. It was great seeing what they could accomplish and we were proud to help support the Alpha Phi Foundation.

Family Weekend Big thank you to all the families that came to our Family Weekend celebration. It was so much fun to spend time together and share with you a little part of our college life. Also, thanks to everyone that went to TGI Fridays to support our Autism Speaks fundraiser. Every little bit helps and it was great to see our families, alumnae and friends take part in that.
Big Little Reveal Big Little Reveal is always one of the most exciting times of the semester! Sixteen new members were unbelievably excited to receive their big sister. The big sisters were all wrapped up, ready for their little sister to come unwrap them. The new members then find out who is in their sorority “family” and get to open a ton of fabulous gifts from their big sister!
