The Delta Alpha Chapter Welcome New Members

The Delta Alpha Chapter has officially reached total (50 women), welcoming 11 wonderful new members into our chapter. This is the first time in 25 years that this chapter has reached its total. It is truly an amaxing accomplishment that maybe four years ago, nobody thought was possible. Without the supportive Alumnae, Alpha Xi Delta volunteers, the Fraternity and Sorority Office, and the encouragement of the parent’s of Alpha Xi Deltas, this chapter would not have been able to see the growth and development that they have seen today. Everyday the members of this chapter learn and grow from the experience of being an Alpha Xi Delta, and now they are lucky because they have the opportunity to share this experience with the new members.

Area Wide Training Several sisters headed to St. Norbert College this weekend for the annual Area Wide Training. This training is provided for various positions in our chapter to help learn more about what they can do to make us great.

One Billion Rising for Justice On Valentine’s Day, some members of the Delta Alpha Chapter headed to the La Crosse City Hall where they participated in a flash mob to stand up for domestic violence. It was fantastic to see how many people in the city of La Crosse supported this cause and it was great to meet so many new people at this unique event.

Toppers Night Thank you to the business partnership with Toppers Pizza, in which, they have allowed this chapter to raise money for the philanthropy: Autism Speaks. It has been a great way to start raising money before for the big walk in April. Last week, at the last Toppers Night, the chapter raised a little over one hundred dollars. The Greek community has been so supportive of the fundraising efforts and Alpha Xi Delta is so lucky to be apart of such a great community.

Bid Day Fun

National Wear Red Day

To welcome the brand new sisters of AXiD the sisters played Olympic games with candy hearts, took photos in a photo booth, and had a delicious cake in honor of new members. The chapter is so glad to have these fabulous new women on board and they can’t wait to see what kind of amaxing things they will contribute.

In support of their Panhellenic sisters, AXiD got all dressed up in red to help join the fight against heart disease- the number one killer of women. Alpha Xi Delta is so proud of the Alpha Phi- Delta Kappa Chapter for all they do for Women’s heart health and can’t wait to attend their upcoming philanthropy event – Mr. HeArtthrΦb at the end of February.

Please Join Us… The planning for our annual AmaXing Challenge is underway and the Delta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta would love to have you. This fun 5K Walk/Run is the highlight of this chapter’s semester, spending all year preparing for this big event. Bring the whole family or some friends to help support Autism Speaks and sign up to join the cause by emailing Erin Wysocki at wysocki.erin@uwlax.edu. Can’t be there but still want to help?
