What is the meaning of life? And much more..

Instruction will be followed by short periods of practice. There also will be time for questions. Methods for dealing with the difficulties of silent sitting meditation will be also taught. These sessions are suitable for anyone interested in meditation practice and for those who wish to learn more of the methods of the Aro gTer.

Canteen Jazz Session An open session led by saxophone hero Craig Crofton supporting seasoned players to join the house trio and others in exploring classic Jazz & Latin tunes. Rackhouse Pilfer These lads know how to get the most from classic Americana, with a reputation for energy and originality that has seen them storm Ireland and conquer Nashville. Vipers If the phrase ‘hard swinging' means anything then the Vipers are the ones to know. Fusing classic jazz, blues and soul they bring classy old-time dance music right back into the spotlight. Common Tongues Brighton's Common Tongue create acoustic folk that gets swept into stadium rock or dreaming electricity followed by a post-punk climax. Zuri Aura They may have started with the usual - reggae, funk, drum'n'bass - but Exeter's Zuri Aura had their own ideas about where to go with all that, and boldly they went. Brass Junkies Dynamic 8 piece Bristolian brass inspired by the funky Mardi Gras sounds of the New Orleans street bands making good-time music to bring a carnival atmosphere! Sinnober Multi-instrumental and multi-cultural duo Sinnober deliver epic pop fusions that have won loads of plaudits from the likes of 6Music's Tom Robinson. Henry Slim Blues Session When harmonica guru Henry 'Slimline' Slim blows that ol' harp you can be sure some of the best blues merchants in these here parts will come a-runnin'. Sylvie Lewis / Louis Gaston Two accomplished singer/songwriters who've uprooted themselves in life: Sylvie Lewis' borrowed Barcelona style and Louis Gaston's French/American blues. DJ Cheeba Bristol native DJ Cheeba brings his cut and paste style to the Canteen. Expect to enjoy a multi-sensory experience unlike any other. DMAC Always intrigued by goings on upstairs at Hamilton House, we've got the Dance Music Arts Collective to come down and show us what they get up to. Expect anything. Tantz Familiar tunes of Jewish Klezmer get the Tantz treatment, with whiplash rhythms and heartcatching bass and drums almost displacing the virtuoso clarinet and violin melodies. Day of the Dead We open our doors to the living AND the dead. Expect a stonking *top secret* band, ghostly bar staff and a whole lot of mayhem.
