Sarah is an urban thinker whose practice brings together traditional planning with art-making techniques that work to create sustainable civic networks and new perceptions of community. She has worked across diverse scales nationally and internationally on resiliency initiatives, civic empowerment campaigns, urban (re)development policy, public realm design, and geospatial narrative. From defining rebuilding strategies after Superstorm Sandy to working with communities in Brooklyn, NY to reimagine their spatial histories, Sarah brings together a diverse skill set using socio-spatial analysis, cartography, urban design, fine art production, visual/data-based storytelling, and public engagement using new media techniques. In 2017, Sarah co-started the arts collaborative, Peoples Culture, in Chicago and New York where she works to create cultural products that link technology, design, and urban planning with social, spatial, and digital realms. Prior to her own venture, Sarah worked at Hatch and AECOM
