Students to Interview Veterans Students in Mike Bartlow's 8th Grade Social Studies Classes at OwegoApalachin Middle School want to interview men and women who performed military service during any conflict in the past 60+ years: World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Cold War, Persian Gulf, Iran, or Afghanistan. It's part of a project called "In Harm's Way." The students will do this project totally outside of class in order to receive full credit for this important assignment. What's the progress so far? Most important is to continue to get the word out to more veterans and arrange times to sit down and talk. Veterans can also share stories in a classroom presentation the week before Memorial Day. If you are interesting in telling students about your service, contact Glenn A. Warner Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1371 Memorial Chairman Jim Raftis at (607) 687-4229 or jraftis2@stny.rr.com.
