LIFELINES

“Like us, Christ entered the world through the womb of a woman. He willingly experienced the fullness of human suffering. He breathed his last on the Cross at Calvary in order that He might save us. Therefore, ‘God is the foundation of hope: not any god, but the God who has a human face and who has loved us to the end’ (Spe salvi 31).”

ST. AUGUSTINE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION MEETING

St. Augustine Cemetery Association will hold their annual meeting on Sunday, April 28th, following the 10:30AM Mass.

ST. PATRICK’S CEMETERY—CLEAN–UP TIME

With spring upon us and the grass beginning to grow you are asked to please help get the cemetery cleaned up by removing all old flower pots and old decorations from your family graves. When you clean up, please take your debris with you. Do not throw it along the side or back of the cemetery for someone else to attend to.

HELPFUL FOR ALL CEMETERIES

Now is a good time for anyone who puts flower pots or decorations on any family graves in any cemetery to help do their part by cleaning up and removing all old flower pots and decorations from your family graves. When you clean up, please take your debris with you. Do not throw it along the side or back of the cemetery for someone else to attend to. Cleaning up is very helpful to those who mow the cemeteries (their job is, after all, only to mow and weed eat) and your efforts help keep things looking nice for all visitors to enjoy.

EASTER READING MATERIALS

There are copies of the “Little White Books” for Easter and the Easter Edition of “The Word Among Us” available in the back of the Churches. Please feel free to take a copy home with you and use as part of your daily Easter meditations.

LITTLE MEADOWS FIRE COMPANY

Little Meadows Fire Company will hold a Chicken BBQ Sunday, April 21st at the Fire Station. Dinner is $ 13.00 (includes chicken, potato salad, beans, a roll & dessert). Chicken only is $ 8.00. Available 11:00AM until all is gone. Benefits the Little Meadows Fire Company.

Deacon’s NOTE

In our rela onship with Jesus, we too are tempted to think of him as a ghost. But, as he tells the disciples, he has flesh and blood as we do. He knows of what we are made. He shares everything we experience and offers us a share in everything he experiences, including his resurrec on.

His resurrec on breaks down all barriers, removes all divisions within us, between us and others, between us and God. His true disciples are ambassadors of reconcilia on in every age.

Who do I need to be reconciled with? Am I a source of unity or division for others? Do others encounter the power of his resurrec on through me?
