BOGGY CREEK AIRBOAT ADVENTURES Grand Opening of Lily’s Butterfly Garden and Lorelei’s Critter Collection Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures, a leading Central Florida nature-based attraction, has added a brand new Butterfly Aviary and Bat Education and Conservation Zone to its Real Natural Florida experiences. Lily’s Butterfly Garden and Lorelei’s Critter Collection, a 20 x 60 foot specially designed aviary named after the owners’ granddaughters, features more than seven different species of butterflies that are native to Florida and the U.S., including Monarch, Painted Ladies and Sulphurs. Guests can purchase nectar cups for $2 to feed the butterflies inside the aviary. The butterfly habitat contains an assortment of Florida native plants. The same habitat is also home to native Florida animals such as Bobwhite Quails, Wood Ducks and Turtles. Landscaping of the park and butterfly area at Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures has been done through a partnership with the Florida Native Plant Society. Future plans inside Lily’s Butterfly Garden will include high teas, birthdays, wedding ceremonies for up to 20 people and memorial butterfly releases. The new Bat Education and Conservation Zone teaches guests about the various species of Florida’s

bats and how they help the environment. Three bat houses will accommodate up to 300 bats each, which will naturally migrate to the site. The bat houses and educational information have been provided through a partnership with the Florida Bat Conservancy. “We are so excited to expand our natural outdoor experiences here at Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures,” said Owner Margie Bryan. “Butterflies, bats and our other new critters will delight our guests in addition to our signature airboat tours which offer up close views of Bald Eagles, North American Osprey, River Otters, Florida Soft Shell and Snapping Turtle, American Alligator, Crested Caracara, and Swallow-tailed Kite.” Admission to the new Butterfly Aviary and Bat Education and Conservation Zone is free with purchase of airboat tour or food purchase at the restaurant. Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For pricing, packages, and specials please visit, www.bcairboats. com or call (407) 344-9550.
