WELCOME, INVOCATION & THE LORD'S PRAYER

DARWALL Rev. Allie Osborne

Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. THE LORD'S SUPPER HYMN OF RESPONSE NO. 272 They’ll Know We Are Christians

Rev. John Uldrick

People: I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old, things that we have heard and known, that our ancestors have told us.

BENEDICTION

Leader: We will not hide them from their children; we will tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders that He has done.

POSTLUDE

People: He established a decree in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our ancestors to teach to their children; that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and rise up and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments. LEADING OUR OFFERTORY PRAYER After representing the United States in their careers abroad, Alison Kosnett and her husband, Phil, returned to America and joined SPdL earlier this year. Alison was born and raised in Atlanta and attended Second-Ponce as a child with her parents, Eunice Elliott and Leon Smith. Alison is a member of the Discipleship Council.

WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! We hope you find this hour to be joyful and transformative. Our church has something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have special dinners, small groups and Bible studies. Wednesday evenings, we share Fellowship Supper followed by adult discipleship and ageappropriate activities for children and teens. We hope you'll join us! And now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack and hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate. HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where a member of our ministry team will greet you with warmth and joy. If you're uncomfortable being "in the spotlight," but still want to join– that's ok! Speak with of one our ministers after worship and they'll walk you through an alternate plan.

ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery and Kids Worship for babies–5th grade. You may take your children to the Kids' Club before the service or, if you prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for the entire hour or until the Doxology (when kids leave with children's ministry leaders). After worship, pick them up in the Kids’ Club. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know your prayer needs by filling out a request card located on the back of the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.

IMMEDIATE NEED: GHES FAMILY DISPLACED BY FIRE November 3, an apartment fire on Peachtree Avenue destroyed nearly everything for the Biswas, a family of Garden Hills Elementary School. Fellow GHES parents have helped them settle into a hotel, but their needs extend far beyond shelter. A GoFundMe has been created to help funnel donations and resources toward housing, food, clothing and other immediate and long-term needs. Legal resources are also appreciated as the Biswas face challenges with property management and rental insurance. Visit www.spdl.org/missions to donate financial help. Email Allie to share other resources: aosborne@spdl.org.

DIAPERS & WIPES FOR TOCO HILLS COMMUNITY ALLIANCE November Collection Drive | Bins in the Welcome Center This month, we're collecting diapers and wipes for our friends at Toco Hills Community Alliance.
