Lenten Sermon Series

GOD IS ON THE MOVE MARCH 10

MARCH 17

MARCH 24

God moves... Into the Human Condition

God Moves... Past the Obstacles

God Moves... Into our Bread Basket

Jesus’ temptation in the desert shows us that God has moved fully into identification with our temptations and experience.

Jesus won’t let Herod’s threats or the people’s opposition keep him from fulfilling his purpose.

MARCH 31

APRIL 7

APRIL 14

God moves... to Meet Us on the Road

God moves... to Do a New Thing

God moves... to the Cross

God is always running to meet us, even when we have failed and squandered the grace and inheritance.

In what ways are we exiles? How is God’s promise to do a new thing relevant for SPdL? God makes a way in the wilderness.

APRIL 21 EASTER SUNDAY

We are called to repentance because God knows our intimate betrayals and is calling us to a fuller, more loving version of ourselves

All of the gospels move toward Jerusalem. Jesus has been on the move, all along, on his way to the cross.

God moves... Out of the Tomb

The victory over the grave has released the spirit of Jesus into the world. He is alive and moving and our task is to meet him in the places where he is at work in the world
