“Jess Whamond and Belinda Allen met during ‘O week’ at Bendigo Uni and after first becoming friends, found themselves in a committed relationship. 15 years later, they decided to tie the knot as best they could, sans legal documents. Jess wanted circus and Belinda wanted Wiccan so they combined forces and had both! As the months went by, they set about building, creating and dreaming up DIY ideas in order to transform their backyard in Pascoe Vale into a circus-themed wonderland. As I had worked with Jess many moons ago in childcare, she called on my ser vices to act as ring-master and celebrant, (I had to Google hand-fasting ceremonies) and ever ything culminated one Halloween afternoon to be the most awesome, best-dressed, most fun commitment ceremony ever!
