HOW DID YOU MEET? Julian Wright and Justin Brunton attended the same school: “We were in different years and didn’t come out until after college. Therefore, we knew of each other but didn’t star t talking on social media until some time later.” WHO PROPOSED? Justin: “I proposed to Julian just after New Years in 2016 during a trip to Sydney. We had been dating for a year and a half, since July 2014 and were in Sydney, spending a few days together shopping and exploring. On Tuesday morning (5 Januar y), I had planned to propose to Julian when he woke up. As par t of this plan I set up scrabble letters on the bedside table saying: ‘marr y me’ along with photos of us and quotes from a song that meant a lot to both of us.” Julian: “I was taken aback as I was still waking up. After noticing the bedside table, I gave Justin a big hug, forgetting to even answer the question. At this point he prompted me for the answer, and I said ‘Yes, of course!’ The proposal was really cute and he managed to pull it off when I least expected it.” Justin: “I was relieved when he remembered to answer. It was also ver y difficult to set up the scrabble letters at 3am in the dark... making sure I spelled the words correctly.” “Now we continue to have many adventures together, creating more memories.
