We definitely wanted a vintage style theme, with a touch of modern simplicity. Our ceremony was ver y simple - white Americana chairs, no fancy arbour or carpeted walkways - the backdrop of Cape Byron in the distance was a stunning view, and we wanted to enjoy the natural countr y-like surrounds. A few big white umbrellas were added due to the weather. We had some vintage game stations set up for between the ceremony and reception - horse shoe toss, croquet, and lawn bowls to name a few. Handmade plywood signage was used to mark each game, and also our ceremony site, the Pimms station, and the photo booth. Tables for the reception were styled with simple white naper y, lots of tea light candles, and big jars and vases filled with roses, peonies and other soft/pretty florals - pinks and apricot tones broke up the white. We had pink striped hand written name tags around each napkin and big white lanterns hanging over the tables to add light. Our big pop of colour was on our lolly bar table - lots of pinks and reds with hanging bunting to add romance and fun. The hanging white lanterns added to the light at night - although it did rain, so the planned dining under the stars was moved inside where lots of low lighting kept the ambience just right. The three bridesmaids all wore var ying tones of dusty pinks and champagne, with darker smokey pink jeweller y. Guests were encouraged to dress in ‘Vintage Glamour’. We loved having a photobooth and the guests highly enjoyed it too! It doubled as our guest book, as it printed two copies of each photo - one for our guests to keep and one for them to stick in a big book and leave us fun messages.
